It is a Wifi Calling bug in the Note 3. There's a workaround that I'm using and works well. Download Prefixer from the market and create a rule for ";63" and it will delete the ";63", this will allow to get the contact info from the Address Book as its supposed.

Exactly how am I suppose to do that once I have the app?

This screenshot can help. In the main screen touch upper left corner and then Add Rule -> Manual -> Incoming. Then follow the screenshot.

Free calling with own number?

Hello, I am just wondering if there's a way to make free calls with your given number. I have looked in the app store but they all require another number or the other party having the same app.

I've heard the Vonage app allows you to use your own number to make calls for free, haven't tried it though.

TXT messages not showing

Today while talking to my sister in law messages just stopped showing up in the messages application but they still show up as a notification so I know they are coming, and any that i send do not show in the app either.
I rebooted the phone and still has the same issue.
I'm running a cyanogen mod oct 29th nightly from last week, i was thinking of installing a newer update but wanted to check if that would be the only option
slight update
I tried some alternate messaging apps and still the same issue with those as well
Bump,
I really need help
Umhh it IS a nightly and could simply be a bug. Check your spam/rejected list or settings in your messaging app and make sure you didn't enable a global rule.

Never had this issue. Only other thing I can think of is to force stop the messaging app and clear the cache. Although, you said you tried other messaging apps.. it's worth a shot. If not, maybe someone else can help. Sorry!! ;{

Well i found the problem and a very very stupid one at that,
time got messed up on my phone, the messages are there but showing up out of order.

Has anyone had MMS issues?

For some reason when someone sends me a MMS it sends it as a group message so when I reply it sends my text to myself. Its rather annoying.
Thanks in advance
No one ?

Messaging Preview

Is there any way with the Note 4 to turn on messaging preview? Right now it is coming up when I get a text message, but it just says New Message. Before with the Note 2, it would actually preview the message. Any help?
I figured it out. You can delete this please.
How'd you do it? I been trying to find it then gave up lol

In Messages go to Settings -> Notifications -> Then check Lockscreen under Preview Message
Oh wow thanks!don't know how I missed that... could've sworn I checked there... maybe I just thought it was a yes or no button and skipped it
Wow thanks!
Glad you got it figured out. If you want try downloading Textra. I'm sure once you use it you will never go back. It's pretty awesome and has a couple customizing options. I just loathe the stock messaging app and figured I'd share with you.
Well like the messages... my calls are also showing just "missed call" without contact info on the lock screen.. tried searching in settings but no luck.. its probably something really obvious I skipped or just looking in the wrong section lol
Settings》Applications》Messages》Notification (on) in there you can ad preview or not.

Help! Phone can't send out text messages?

My girlfriend just got the s4 from her mom, it's originally a Verizon phone but it's unlocked. She put in her t mobile sim and everything else works fine, calling, receiving calls, receiving text, Internet. But as soon as she tries to send out a text, it fails everytime instantly. She tried calling t mobile and visiting the store but they were no help. Anyone know how to fix this?

This happened to me when I first used a Sprint Galaxy S4 and then took it to MetroPCS. I had to enter the APN info for T-Mobile and then set the APN as active. go to settings, more networks, mobile networks, access point names and create your new APN by tapping the PLUS sign. Save by tapping the bottom left hand button.

Did the Verizon phone save your APN? I know for a fact that SPRINT phones are stuffed full of proprietary references to Sprint servers.

I'm pretty sure it did, I'll try it again. Even the t mobile employees tried the same while at the store.

Is your phone rooted? If so, I would try Titanium Backup and try freezing an app called VZWSetup. I did something similar on my wife's S3 and it worked well for using the phone with other carriers.........

Along with the APN, make sure the Message Center number is the correct one for T-Mobile: +12063130004
This should be in the Messaging app under Settings.

I am glad the last responder brought this up. Sometimes you will see proprietary Verizon and Sprint APPS that will not allow you to change the Voicemail either. If there is a Verizon Voicemail program I would freeze it too. As far as rooting your phone? No big deal.
