Had the same problem on my gnex with PA 3.99 RC2, for me it was a problem with the DPI settings. If I remember correctly Slimbean came with a altered DPI setting out of the box. Maybe you can fiddle with that, I know it worked for me

Yes, set it to the stock dpi for gnex, 320 I believe. Then you should be good.

You also need to keep the navbar size on default...
Gesendet von meinem Galaxy Nexus mit Tapatalk
to get around it and keep the dpi that you want, you could install xposed framework and use the Play Store Fixes module from the downloads section in framework installer, and set it to fake 320 dpi and no restrictions path. i use it on carbon rom with a dpi of 260 and never have a play store issue, including themer beta.
OR you can try a different rom. Dont get me wrong I like slimbean but, Im just saying
I like how the op says themer beta doesn't work at all but he's using a custom rom like slimbeam, really...., you should say it doesn't work on slimbeam instead of blaming the app, works flawless on stock 4.3 even for a beta.

I thought i would give it ago, but it's saying my device is not compatible when i install it and try and start it, but when i was on stock it works now im on gin2jellybean it's not working, could it be the rom?
Are you using stock 240 dpi? If not, that's the cause
Hi, sorry to be rude, but i don't understand, do you mean stock gingerbread?
is it something to do with change screen density is it safe to do?
or be best to revert back to stock for all my games to play?
Installing dpi density of fhe market says i am currentky on 240 dpi, even stock rom 2.3.4 GB says it's not compatible, strange!
thanks
Hm, that is strange then. You're at the right density it seems, but I'm not sure what else could be the problem
I figured out the problem was an older version the update fixed, sorry and thanks for your help

ParanoidAndroid 3.15 is an almost perfect ROM based on my needs, but I'd like the option to be able to customize the colors on the SMS/MMS app like AOKP has. Can I install extract the MMS.apk from an AOKP ROM and place it in my /system folder?

It didn't work. I tried the MMS.apk from task's latest ROM and the one from Android Open Kang Project - I747 (d2att) [JB-MR1]. It says "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped." every time I try to open it.

Try the inverted one in the themes and apps forum for art gs3. There are several versions in an ara installer. Try all but the two ones and see if it works. Make a nandrpid and give it a shot

The one I tried worked ok for SMS but froze when sending MMS
Going to give the theme version a shot.

There are several on the installer, about 6 or so. Almost all will give SMS but takes a few to find one for MMS.
You wont hurt anything flashing over them.
Ok guys, I'm going to keep this short for now.
Since my DEVELOPMENT thread has been abused badly for your talk and feature requests, I descided to lock it.
Feel free to talk about everything like feature requests, bugs etc. in here.
Known issues
- Camera
- USB tethering
- Statusbar margins
- ParanoidOTA
- Browser tearing
- ION / vsync (not required atm)
First of all I want to thanks for developing of this rom. 4.3 version finally fix problem with Unity3d based apps, which existed in every version 4.0, 4.1, 4.2. It realy good. About Rom, it's stable, not soft reboots after days of using. Some things should be fixed, but for test version it's very good rom. So don't give up and continue development)
One issue I stumbled upon (not urgent) is the "See through" option in the "Lock screen" settings - once checked it works until a restart of the phone, what is weird is that it behaves like it's unchecked after the restart, but in the settings it actually is. Probably the settings don't apply at boot or something?
Otherwise great rom, very stable for everyday use.
On your 4.2.2 rom I could download tasker. But now with the 4.3 I can't find it in the store. and when I go to the store on the pc it says that my device isn't compatible. And yes tasker is 4.3 ready.
Thanks

Nope I'm using the 9mb version or your slimmed version think your slimmed version. The full version does it automatically go to the ext partition?

I did a factory reset, installed the rom then without a reboot installed full GApps but it didn't show the language screen at boot my hardware keys aren't working and I only got the playstore. How can that happen?
Thanks

Recovery derped during flashing or wipe.
Happens sometimes. I also go for a reboot after ROM and before flashing gapps, but that's personal preference to make sure everything settled well.

You Sir need to get a medal.
Installed the ROM and it's great. It is much smoother now and the new HALO is also very good.
It seems that the keyboard from @Nbsss slim guide/my script isn't working anymore. I restored the original keyboard to make it working...
Any www content is unusable with stock and any other browser - graphical glitches/screen tearing, sometimes also happens in apps (amazon appstore).
Except of that major issue and obviously lack of camera its good. :good:

Seems like the issues that can be fixed using ION & mako libs.
I didn't even think about AOSP browser any more
Chrome seems fine.

Will look into it and probably update slim gapps to 4.3 later today.
But wow, I must hand it to WoH, the desire has a newer build available before my 2013 Nexus 7 lol. Good job!
I just had a hot reboot, after it started optimizing apps, now 90% of apps are gone (only apps like phone, calendar, sms etc. are still there).
Also my hardware buttons stopped working, only volume and home key is working.
Was using everything stock with pie enabled.

On which GApps you gonna base the 4.3 GApps. For 4.2 you used nikez. Because the full WoH GApps won't install correctly and with the slimmed version I can't install google plus, tasker, and some more apps. Thanks

Anyway after reflashing it's fine, i guess it might be some a2sd / zipalign issue.

It is moderately smooth, not as smooth as Nova Launcher though. Not much in the way of customisation for now. Good thing is you have some kind of Google Now. The voice search does not work for some reason but a fix should be underway soon. Btw, ROM I am running is AOSP JB RC2 by Maclaw. The smoothest JB ROM in my opinion.
I can't tell the RAM usage as it does not show up in Running processes though Google Search will run. Btw, you have to enable Google Now from settings. You access when you swipe to the left. It functions like the Blinkfeed on HTC One
On CM10.1.6 I installed all three apps and I have notice: 'PLACEHOLDER TEXT: Google Search not found.' but after reboot launcher works
Working for me too
I've got only one problem...after installing all the 3 apk, the stock sms apk does not work anymore...it doesn't open at all...did it happened to you too?
Edit.: solved by installing Hangout..maybe this will be useful if someone else will have the same problem

I'm running most recent cm11/cMetal ROM and am trying to change the LCD density from stock to 240. I've got ROM toolbox pro and tried to use the built in build.prop editor but it doesn't seem to work.
Is this a 4.4 issue? I've tried in r/w and r/o and it does not work (I only did that because someone mentioned it during my research.)
Has anyone had any success or have any tips?

Navigate to /system/build.prop using Solid/Root explorer and open it in text editor and change the property ro.sf.lcd_density to 240 or whatever you like. Then reboot.

There is no reason your lcd density should have caused a bootloop unless you configured the numbers outside of the galaxy nexus proper density radius or you messed with the wrong thing in build.prop. Try downloading Build Prop Editor from the play store and only modify the LCD Density.
DPI 280 is so clear and comfortable.
With latest nightly cm-11-20140120 I am unable to change the lcd density. Seems lcd_density attribute in build.prop is ignored... Anyone experiencing this issue?
