Is it true that Samsung skipped Android 4.2.2 update for Note 2 and then will skip directly to Android 4.3?

Yes, You can see examples of this by browsing the Android Development thread here and you will notice that the majority of ROM are all 4.3 Touch Wiz based
This is due to Samsung wants Samsung gear to work with NoteII, S4 and S3 I guess.

This is what Sammobiles's FB page says,
- UPDATE NEWS - Just chill and be happy Samsung will update your GALAXY SII and Note to Android 4.1.2 included new Touch-Wiz Nature UX.
Samsung started since December the development of Android 4.2.1 updates Galaxy S III #SGS3 1/2.
Android 4.2.1 also for the Samsung Galaxy Note II 2/2. Release begin Q2.
https://www.facebook.com/SamMobileOfficial
No need for 4.2.1
Just let Samsung update directly to 5 KLP. 4.2.1 has nothing to offer to us. Battery sucked big time too in Nexus devices.
Be happy to have a fully stable and full af features phone.

You can always flash one.... If you're looking for an official release I would certainly say yes. How long remains unknown. The GSIII and Note2 are Samsung's flagship phones... and 2 of the best phones on the market. It will come, just a matter of how long.

Thanks for the advice acrually I don't wanna flash it will make my S pen useless. So , why did nexus devices got android 4.2.2 early ?

Because the Nexus IS "the google phone" It's Google's very own. It's made by various companies depending on which one (previous "google" phones), but it's "vanilla" meaning it has no UI on top of it. Example: HTC phones have "Sense". Samsung has "Touch Wiz" It takes time for Samsung to implement their stuff on top of the new OS.
Ok ok thanks

The nexus will have 4.3 or 4.4 by the time Samsung gets around to getting a 4.2.2 rom out for the note 2 ... just the way it is .... Nexus is always ahead

You would be better suited to post in your phones forum. This is the sprint note 2 forums (sph-l900) and you're using the international variant (n7100)
I like to break stuff!

We'll get 4.2 TWiz ROMs when we get 4.2 TWiz ROMs. Which will be sometime, who knows when. A leaked GS3 4.2 build appeared in the wild today FWIW.
This phone runs awesome on the current version. I'm very content
Hello. This davic will get android 4.3?

While I don't have proof, I would say yes. This device is freshly new and let's not forget it's the little brother of the giant S4 and it's definitely bound to get support from Samsung in software updates.
my hope is yes, since it was released on 4.2 its probably to get at least one update

hy,
no s4 mini dont get 4.3 firmware will go direct to 4.4, "from a reliable source"
Perhaps the same way as with the S3 that skipped 4.2 and gets 4.3 next month.
However I dont think the S4 Mini will get 4.4 during its debut, I expect it most likely next year.
I do hope we get a working port of Ubuntu Touch from the Ubuntu Edge phone. Since it coworks with Android and its linux based I hope its available in the future. Ubuntu Touch rocks!

does samsung galaxy note 8.0 will be android 4.3 or 4.4 ? note 2 get android 4.3..sorry bad english
Nobody knows the answer to that yet. My best guess (based on history of updates to the first Samsung 10 inch flagship tablet) is that an update to 4.3 may be possible, but don't expect it until the version after KitKat 4.4 is almost released by Google. I would be surprised if we see it before next summer. Android 4.4 should make it to our tablets in custom ROMs by the developer community. Less likely to be updated by Samsung, but not impossible.

Has anyone with KK (android 4.4.2) installed on the Note 8.0 tested how well it works with Samsung's Gear 2 (or Gear 2 Neo)?
Can you connect to Gear Manager?
I am particularly interested whether Gear 2 apps can be seen in (and installed from) the Samsung App store....with Android 4.2.2 I cannot see those apps....
Thanks!

You can reply yourself...
Is there already a KK 4.4.2 Official TOUCHWIZ update available for NOTE 8.0?
Yes - NO?
I give you hint - AOSP 4.4.2 available roms are not TouchWiz - GEAR compatible.
Official support for GEAR starts with 4.3 on S3,N2 etc....even 4.3 is not available for Note8.
Thanks - no, I am not aware of any, but Samsung has stated they will update the Note 8.0 to KK. So, I need to wait for this offical update....hopefully Samsung will start rolling it out soon (they announced the upgrade back n February, I believe)....until then I will not be able to load any apps to my Gear 2....unless someone finds a way to sideload them...not well done by Samsung...what % of Samsung tablets/phones is on 4.3 or 4.4 (with Touchwiz - Gear 2 compatible)?

Off the top of my head, we have the Galaxy S3, S4, and S5, Note 2, Note 3, Note 10.1 (2014). Pretty much every flagship Galaxy phone made within the last 2 years is running at least 4.3, and most of them have had 4.4 OTA (s5 shipped with it). So in reality, not a bad job by Samsung at all. You have to understand that just about every Galaxy or Tab or Note line runs on different hardware, and needs it's own build of TouchWiz. Naturally, the newest and most popular devices will be first in line for updates, and this is completely understandable. Unfortunately, the Note 8 is a niche device, which was very expensive to buy, and consequently not many people own one or need one. We will get 4.4, but we will probably be the last to get it. Whether it will support Gear remains to be seen.
