Hi
I have a HTC One X and i'm trying to flash a stock rom after a failed custom rom flash.
I'm using the command fastboot flash zip firmware.zip but it's failing the signature check.
These are the data from the phone:

(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.72.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 5.1204.164D3.31
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 4.17.161.2

(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: RUU
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: None
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 2

Can anyone point me to a correct firmware?

why are you flashing a firmware?
stop flashing the firmware zip
I have to go off for a while so I will leave instructions.
firstly get philz touch recovery from here>>>>>http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=16046#files and flash it in fastboot
next go here>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140 and look for your cid, vodap102, and get the 3.14.161.27 nandroid. you can restore this backup from recovery and then ota up to the latest version. you will also need the stock 3.14 recovery which is further down the page after the nandroids.
follow the instructions on the page to restore, and don't forget to flash the boot.img that comes with the nandroid and then the stock recovery.
This of course is assuming you didn't make a backup of your own? if you did then flash that using the instructions in the nandroid thread above

Thanks. I did fastboot oem lock. I need the device unlocked right?
Sorry for the trouble.
ps: it says relocked.
Thanks

Yes, to flash anything except, ruu, you need to be unlocked. And you do not need to relock to receive ota. But you do need stock boot.img and stock recovery after flashing the nandroid
Press thanks if I helped you. Sent via XDA Premium 4

Thanks. I managed to install the rom but after booting, a screen to input the sim pin apears.
The problem is that the touchscreen doesn't work.
Edit: Nevermind i managed to solve it. Thanks for all the help

[Q] Need help with restoring to stock

Hi,
I am attempting to restore my HTC ONE X to the optus stock after having a JB custom ROM. I am using an nandroid backup for the CID Optus001 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
When I try to restore the backup- my phone just gets stuck at either the Optus logo or the HTC one BeatsAudio splash screen. I've tried manually flashing boot.img in fastboot, wiping cache wiping all data, dalvik cache etc....
I have also tried to use the Optus RUU for ICS with no success.
I got this out of fastboot if it is of any help

That is really odd. Did you make a Nandroid backup before you flashed your custom ROM? You could try restoring that backup instead of the one you got from xda. You can flash the stock recovery separately if you need to.

[Q] Help with upgrading to JB

Hi smart guys
Few hours ago I've decided to upgrade my phone to JB (it's about time). I was trying to run cyanogenmod 10.1.3. It ended up with error status 7 ("ro.bootloader"). I was doing everything in instructions but then I saw in HBOOT I have HBOOT-1.12.0000. Even if I run 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' (boot.img from cm-10.1.3-endeavoru.zip) it is still 1.12. Could anyone please help me how to updgrade HBOOT?

flashing boot.img does not change your hboot.
do the command "fastboot getvar all" but erase your serial number and imei
get your cid and go here to get your firmware>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
do a search for "one x upgrade hboot" and you will see plenty of threads to help you
fastboot getvar all

to be honest, I would go back to stock and then ota up to the latest. that way your hboot, radio and everything else will be up to date and you can flash any rom you want after that

not a stock rom, a nandroid backup. I'll post a link at the end. you flash cwm recovery in fastboot, then you get the nandroid backup which matches your cid and main version, which people have kindly donated.you flash the boot.img from the nandroid that you download and you then restore the nandroid in cwm recovery as if it were a backup which you made yourself. once you have done that, you flash the stock recovery, which can be found further down the page after the backups. and when all that is done your phone will be fully stock and you will start to receive official OTA's until your phone is on the latest version for your part of the world. this will also upgrade your hboot to the latest version and then you can flash the latest custom rom's or just stay on stock.
follow the instructions EXACTLY >>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
so basically, look for your cid, HTC_032 and then click the link for the 2.17.401.2 nandroid
So I've found an answer...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaKlStSJpA8
..and it works. Now I have a CM up and running and I'm so f*king happy I'll give you thanx for your time.
Have a nice day good sir! :good:

first you need to fully charge it then you need to unlock it again. then, if you haven't already got it, flash a custom recovery. do a full wipe from recovery then copy the 4.19.707.3 nandroid to backup/restore folder on the sdcard. flash the boot.img from the nandroid zip in fastboot then restore the nandroid from recovery. that should be it if you follow all steps and read the instructions in the nandroid thread

[Q] One X stuck on logo with other firmwares

Hello,
I've got this model and is very strange;
before I receive it other one made a format via twrp to the system and all the other data.
The phone now goes only in fastboot and in custom recvery.
I flashed a lot of different firmwares but the phone don't power on.
Stays only in HTC Logo.
The only firmware that is working with it is this: cm-10.1.3-endeavoru.zip
The details for this phone in fastboot are this:
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5a

Any idea to fix it because I don't wanna let it with cm10.
Thanks!

Try flashing this recovery
You have to flash the boot.img via fastboot ! I think you are booting different roms with the CM kernel, hence the bootloop/stuck at logo.
Different rom = flash boot.img, full wipe in recovery, install rom......
Only flash the above recovery if you are planning to install a kitkat rom. If you want to flash any other rom i suggest philz 5.15
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqzlpqo8illa53j/Philz recovery 5.15.9.img

Sorry but I don't understand something: what boot file do I have to write via fastboot?
I'm already using philz_touch_5.15.9-endeavoru.img and I don't wanna install kitkat rom.
So I have to extract the "boot.img" from my custom recovery that I have and flash it via fastboot or what?
Thanks!
Yes via fastboot, fastboot flash boot boot.img
With that i mean the boot.img from the rom.zip ofcourse ....

Ok thanks. I will try.
One more question:
3.14.401.31
3.18.401.1
3.20.401.1
4.18.401.2
4.18.401.3
Which one is the newest version? 4.18.401.3? Can I use that version to flash my phone?
PS. Thank you very much. It worked.
If 4.18 is the latest, can I update to it now? And how?
PS2. I tried to update from phone menu to 3.20.. but after the restart firmware was still the old one 3.18.
PS3. I tried to update once again and now it worked. Strange, but now i am on 3.20. Will continue to update
PS4. There is even 4.18.401.4
