Hi everyone, I have a problem with storage. I cant download any app from google play and I have 500mb free, not even a 6/7mb small app??
767mb of apps are installed in total if that means anything, rest is music and pictures.
Please help, thanks!

Move your music and pictures in your SD card.

you can get Asphalt 5 in the market for free. So it's not warez.
That's such a big game lol... have never played gameloft games, do you have to install 70mb of this monster on your ace? Or is it that most of the data is movable to sd?

it's not a monster i think . i have eternal legacy with 650mb data also realfootball2011, GTracing , sandstrom, and other "monster" that was eat 4GB of my sdcard. we have darktremor already, with fast sdard and enable datasd, no more monster you can't beat
Okay.. sorry for the offtopic but how much space do you allocate for your ext4 partition?
And with darktremor app2sd enabled my phone memory depletes quite quickly too, data2sd will completely move your games to sd?

The main data folders for games are in the normal fat32 sd card which take up space. I have games like NFS Shift,Operation sandstorm,Asphalt and many others 3D games which take up more than 1.5 GB on normal partition.And yes all your applications including game application data located in /data are moved to sd card ext4 partition by data2sd. I have some 90 to 100 applications and more than 160 MB free space in internal memory.I think you should allocate between 600 MB to 1 GB to ext4 partition because i don't think the data and dalvik cache are ever going to exceed 500 MB. I have about 750 MB free space in my 1 GB ext4 partition with all those applications.

But when I open the game it saying your device doesn't support.

Lol apk is 4 mb but rest is data(cache)
And you amazed by only 78mb
but some are around 500mb

I wouldn't be concerned. You would be very surprised to see what services need different permissions.

I have rooted my PLAY and removed all the pre installed games, external memory have 6+ GB free.
Also free most of the internal space as well by moving most of the apps to external storage??
Why this is happening??
Also market is still old one NOT the Play Store (in my Arc its Play Store)??

Clear cache and data of the market app. Worth a shot.

I had a heck of a time trying to purchase this game also. I kept getting the message "Sorry there's not enough space to install this item." This happened on both of my phones. I had plenty and memory internal and external. After doing a search i found a fix that worked for me.
Its worth a try anyways.
Go to:
Menu>Settings>Manage Applications> All >
Select the app: DRM Protected Content Storage
Select Force Stop
I was pretty skeptical but it worked an allowed me to purchase and install the game.
Hey I'm having an error with my phone saying the above error permanently in the status bar. It notifies me of 250mb free although that isn;t and amount that adds up from how much media the galaxy is saying i have stored. I have tried flashing different roms clearing cache resetting etc no prevail. Please no suggestion that includes installing apps as I can't do that and I cannot connect to the computer to backup media to format the device due to hardware issues. I also don;t have a file manager installed as it doesn't come with the ROM and can't install due to this issue :/ help is muchly appreciated!

Can you break down what the storage says? Don't forget, on a 16gb nexus there is only (IIRC) 13.3GB free after allowing for formatting and system files.

It says 13.3gb available 100mb apps 1.5gb photo/video 5.7gb 1.5gb downloads And I have 247mb left apparently

It doesn't count all other directories in the SD aside from Music, Data, Pictures, etc. Plus, other file types don't count to that total. ROMs, for example, take up a lot of space but aren't counted when you go to settings>storage. And then you have app data that apps put in a weird place and are hundreds of MBs big...
i have 351 mb left.but yet the error message in the status bar does not go.i cant install any apps from the market.it says insufficient memory.but i do hv 351mb free!! any solution??

Nope. The 2 Gb there is for the apks only. That's a hell lot of space. The data of games go to the SD Card anyway.

actually when youve installed games and apps, data of it will be on the 25gb and not on the phone memory .
I am having problems trying to install a few apps.
I keep getting error not enough space. Free up some space and try again.
Any suggestions? tried cache fixer and sweeper. Still the same.

I have tried to move apps to external card. All I get is The device does not have a real primary external storage,
or the primary external storage is emulated.
Moving app to sd function cannot be supported by this device.
Rom Tool box says the same thing, moving to external not possible on this device.
My internal memory is approx 9GB free my external is approx 18GB free.
It also says system rom: 2.21 GB (297 MB free)
Internal and media: 11.8 GB (9.91 GB free)
I have just uninstall-ed around 20 apps, so I can now update the installed apps without problems.
Now I am going to re-install to see how far I get before it tells me "not enough space".
I have nearly triple the amount of apps on my galaxy S3 and never run out of space.
I just wanted to add. No problems with my 64GB SD card. I have 4500 music tracks on it as well as 4 movies and approx 2000 photos. All work without a hitch.
Not big enough to be a "large tablet," but too big to gracefully use.
