Wipe dalvik cache via CWM_6.0.3.6 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

When I am trying to wipe dalvik cache via CWM_6.0.3.6_Touch_SGH for M919 I get this note: "No file_contexts"...?

Try philz touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322676
Has a one click wipe for installing a rom. It's cwmr based and most people on these threads here swear by it

Second that and yes phils touch is better because I switched from CWM 6.0.3.6 touch because it started acting up on me so I installed philz touch and it is awesome highly recommended

Flashed Infamous got bootloops.

Noob question here im sorry. i just got the tmobile gs2. it was already rooted and had cwm, so i got home downloaded infamous excited to flash it. I went to cwm wiped everything flashed and got bootloops. did I do something wrong?
Did you use darkside superwipe before flashing?
And try darkside cache wipe after you flash the rom.
Please give steps on exactly what you did so we can pinpoint where the issue is. I have flashed this rom many times over and never been on a boot loop.

Exactly what I did was, put the rom on my internal sd boot to cwm, the I wiped data, cache and dalvik. Then flashed the rom. It said it was all good so I rebooted and got boot bootloops. It goes to the Samsung screen then shows the infamous boot screen and keeps looping those.

I always have this issue. Wiping everything in cwm solves it for me

Do a nandroid. Install darkside super wipe and darkside cache wipe. Install ur rom ,super wipe, flash rom, let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Reboot and darkside cache wipe. Should boot as supposed to.

Flashing CM9 from AOKP rom?

Hi,
I am currently running a AOKP rom on my Rogers S3. When I go to flash CM9 on CWM it says:
Installing Update...
Installation Aborted.
(not even an error #)
I clear my data and cache before attempting to flash CM9
I have tried deleting the first line in the script (as other xda forums suggested). Still no luck.
Thanks in advance
What recovery are you running?

Sorry I'm new to android. When you say full wipe do you mean "Wipe data/ factory reset", "wipe cache" and "Wipe Dalvik"?
I've already done this
I'm almost certain you need the updated recovery 5.8.4.7...update through rom manager....

I do the same without problems. I would suggest you odin flash Twrp.
I think twrp is safe with darkside wipes but not cwm 6. Either way, I don't take chances and just made an auto wiper for me. I just got too used to having a zip wipe for me and it works great with the zip ordering thing in tarp. All done in one swipe.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992386&nocache=1
I have an N7100 but I just want to be sure.
And I was wondering is format system on CWM recovery the same as wiping cache and davlik? Im new to all of this
No one? It really can't be difficult to answer...

If you press the download button it takes you to the download page where they are all listed as N7100

Uhmmm nope it cannot run on n7100 .. However there other similar ROMs that do support t0lte a.k.a n7105 .. Like jellybam or carbon and many others..

No, formatting system will wipe the rom from the device. Cache and dalvik wipe only the "temporary file" partition.
Do not wipe system unless you are getting ready to flash a new rom. Cache may be wiped at any time and will not delete any of your data.

Android 4.3 boot but doesn't reboot

Why after flashing most of 4.3 roms it boot an works perfect until i reboot? It stuck on note 2 logo. factory reset failed. I can only wipe data and reflash rom or restore my 4.1.2 backup.

Do a clean wipe before flashing. ....always be on latest recovery

Whenever you flash a new rom, don't flash any mods directly. Complete the initial setup, wait for 5 minutes for the rom to settle, then reboot. Later you may flash mods

Everything like you wrote, after flashing rom always do first boot. After this works great until i reboot phone.
Also do a tutorial by someone, factory reset-flashing rom, wipe cache and dalvic-flashing gapps for 4.3 and wipe cache/dalvic-reboot and also doesnt work.

Uhm, i'm guessing you tried to flash the new 4.3 Leak ROM
Bet you 10$ you didn't flash the new Bootloader before flashing the MJ5 or MI6 ROM?
You lose , i flash mj5 bootloader first

Good
I don't what else could be the problem. Tried Super Wipe? (Philz recovery ---> Wipe Data/Factory Reset ---> Clean before installing new ROM?)
