HUAWEI P6 and still no functioning CWM RECOVERY !!! - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

This model is on the market long enough, but still it is not fully functional CWM Recovery, which can back up and restore system .
Quite sorry that this one does not deal with .

You can use TWRP:

[Q] FreeGee ??

I have the international LG Optimus G..
Can I use FreeGee for any thing ?
Will it give me CWM ?
seriously, how have you not found the info you need by searching? It's not like you're new either -.-
Anyway, it lets you unlock bootloader, gives you twrp which is a prefectly good replacement for cwm.
Cm 10.1 can be found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229806 and http://get.cm/?device=e975
They are not the same. I'm using the one by chad

Yes, look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212323&highlight=freegee
To boot into recovery:
Power off
press volum UP + power, this gets you to the fastboot menu.
Now, press volume down TWICE, then Power.
Yes, only those two CM 10.1 so far. When most of the bugs they have are sorted out I think we can expect some different ones to show up (slim bean, pacman etc. I really don't know though)

Will I be able to flash new bootamimations ect like on Samsung Galaxy S3 with CWM ?
Is it posible to do full backup in TWRP and always have options to go back to stock rom ?
Will the ROM MANAGER backup/ Restore work or only in TWRP ?
Can I Lock bootloader again if it needs to be repaired ?
I think so, look in the theme & apps section. I tried changing the font through rom toolbox pro, gave me a softbrick. so be cautious.
Yes, you can always make a nandroid backup when you want. Just like cwm recovery
Well, rom manager is based on cwm, but nandroids should work regardless, you can set twrp as your recovery in rom manager.
I think you can relock the bootloader by using the kdz method to restore your phone to stock. Pretty sure its been asked before.
You can NOT use twrp recoveries in cwm, and vice versa!! Also, I have no idea how to get back twrp after flashing to cwm recovery without using a kdz recovery. Which basically wipes your phone.

Hello guys
Well i have just received my phone yesterday and im back on the modding part.
Sooo happy that there are people out there already developing for this phone.
Problem is, i downloaded the recovery, from both links, tried to flash it with mobiluncle tools, it took 2 seconds, maybe its to fast and its not really flashing??
rebooted to recovery and i can only see 2 lenovo logos overlapping and in the lower screen text saying Recovery mode.
It hangs a few seconds and then reboots normally. but no recovery.
Then tried to flash with flashtool. same story.
i could never access the original recovery anyway, it just said no command.
all information on the phone or other apps says unknown recovery, is this normal when its a stock recovery?
Any other ideas? need help, this phone is awesome so far, except for the internal memory, its too small and i have all of the phone memory doing nothing, i have my sd card, but i wanted to mod it in the first place to make the internal memory partition bigger.
Anyway this is not the thread to talk bout that, but any help with flashing this recovery?
Much appreciated.

[Q] Problem with the " Wipe NAND all " on Odin

Dear friends ... I have a big problem with my P601 Tablet ... my problem :
I were having problem with my nand memory so I managed to flash a ROM with having the " Wipe NAND all " ticked in Odin and after that I found that the phone wont boot so I thought it might be from the bootloader and updated the bootloader to KK and now I can't get my tablet to even boot android and also I can't mount /data in recovery to boot a custom ROM... is there any solution for me ? ... is there any way to get that JB firmware flashed on my tab ? ( to get 4.3. ROM on it to see if it might boot )... is there any way to even boot the android to pick my files ? ... thanks in advance ...

OK, since you already flashed KK bootloader, then you have no choice but flash STOCK 4.4 rom. This should fixed your issue and it's too late to go back to 4.3.

CWM OR TWRP : The Better One

The first thing i would clear is that this is solely my personal opinion. At the end it's your wish what you want to do.
So there are 3 recoveries : CWM , Philz ( based on CWM ) and TWRP . Each one has its own merits and demerits . I currently use the TWRP . It's touch interface is a huge advantage over CWM . Also most developers like developing their projects with TWRP . It also has advanced backup options where we can select specific partitions we want to back up . Also , while backing up , you can lock the recovery , basically it turns off the screen . Thereby saving battery . And it has more no. Of more options than CWM .
Bugs in TWRP : I found none . Many threads tell that there are bugs in TWRP but I've been using it since a month and I came across no problems flashing any ROMs
How to Flash : I've written a post on this too " Easiest way to Flash or Change a recovery [Root] "
So I would recommend TWRP to anyone who's looking for the answer.
Hope this helped , and if it did, don't forget to press the thanks button

Yes. That's normal. The recovery is not built properly or honor doesn't properly support TWRP am not sure. Otherwise it works well.
Do you have a backup of stock recovery?

As SVR pointed out, Honor 7x has two recoveries. So you got to flash recovery1 and recovery2 in fastboot and then erecovery won't comeup. On a different note, do you have a TWRP backup of the stock rom by any chance? I wish to go back to stock but there is no stock rom for Indian version yet. If you haven't yet flashed the custom rom and not taken a backup of stock, please do so before you flash any custom rom, using the TWRP backup feature. That would save you a lot of time incase you wish to revert back to stock.
I didnt know that there are 2 recoveries for 7x. I went the by video posted by XDA and there wasn't mention of it on the XDA page also. Anyways I went through some post and there was a reply in which there was a backup link of the stock rom.
So thanks to whomsoever uploaded it. Restored that through TWRP and now phone is fine. I got one more doubt , while rebooting on the AOSP 8.0 build , a message " your phone has a internal problem" always showed up. Any issues ?
