[Q] Multiple USB devices and HDMI

Guys,
I was wondering whether it´s possible to have a "connection chain" like this to the GNex ???
1.) Connect an OTG cable to the micro USB port of the GNex
2.) Plug a standard self-powered USB hub into the OTG cable
3.) Apply an USB-A to Micro-AB adapter and so connect the Samsung Micro-USB2HDMI adapter to the USB hub
4.) Connect a Logitech game pad
5.) Connect a USB stick, portable drive, ... you name it
What´s the purpose you´re sure about to ask ... Well, launch any emulator on the GNex, bring the video output to my 46 inch plasma and gamble old games with the game pad over the GNex.
Do you think, it´ll work? I don´t wanna spend all the money for all the adapters and stuff ending up in a mess.
Cheers
Christian
Don't think it will work honestly.
I don't think this device supports mhl and otg. Sounds like the galaxy s3 does with a special cable. That cable does not work on our phone.

Thx for the replies. Kinda sad, my idea won't work out.

Slimport (HDMI) with OTG in one?

I was just wondering if there was a product that enabled this? Thanks in advance!
I don't believe that this is possible. My Slimport adapter has a micro USB port and if I connect my OTG cable into it my HDMI resets and the device never registers what is connected via OTG.
if I am wrong about this someone feel free to jump in and correct me as I would love to be able to output to TV while also accessing my flash drive/mouse and KB.
Here's hoping the nexus 7/8 (2014) has an HDMI output...

Slimport connectivity issue

Hello XDA,
I have just purchased a HDMI slimport adapter to connect my nexus 5 to my LCD screen. But for some reason it is not showing anything. I wanted to know if the HDMI cable I am using is apt to connect the slimport to the TV set. This is the cable that I am using. I am also posting the link the slimport adapter that I purchased. Micro usb to s-video?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to display the screen of my m7 on a s-video in port of my satnav in my car. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
It is possible. First you need standard MHL video out adapter, and HDMI to s-video or composite one. That's two independent devices. Look them up on ebay
Or since it is a car, maybe instead of MHL which is cable, you could use one of many Miracast adapters (or Google Chromecast) to make it wireless. Plug it in HDMI-to-analog adapter, then to your satnav.

2nd Display for Nexus 7 in car

Hi there,
I just want to connect a 2nd Display to my Nexus 7 2013 LTE 32GB for mirroring the display to my car dashboard. The tablet is already integrated in the double din space.
For these installation mode I needed OTG with Y cable so no MHL is possible. But maybe with this adapter it could:

Does anyone know if the Nexus Support 11pin MHL via this way?
My last chance is chromecast then, but its very handy to find a 5inch Display with Miracast Support or HDMI Port which don't display a black stripe at the left..
Thanks a lot
Greetings

The nexus 7 2013 has slimPort, not MHL for HDMI output.
