[Q] Turning XT9 off on HTC One X with 4.2.2 - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hi all,
I wonder if someone could tell me how to turn the Auto Correction off on the Int HTC One X after my recent upgrade to Android 4.2.2 with HTC Sense 5.0 yesterday.
I want to keep suggestion for current word + suggestion for next word, BUT I wish to turn Auto Correction off..
Any help? :fingers-crossed:

Go under settings >keyboard and turn it off. Would help better if you went in to the one x board. This is the Verizon HTC one board.

Answer calls problem help!

Everytime I receive a call the phone ask me to swype down to answer. It didn't use to be like that. Before it was the green square to answer and red to decline. It only works when the screen is on. Anybodys help will be appreciate it. Thanx.

That's how Sense works, it's always been like that - unless I just never realised before...is it that much of an issue?
Yup. My friends desire works well with the green and red buttons. But is weird cause my brother phone doesn't work like mine either.

Sometimes I wanna click decline and I can't cause I have no choice to swype down. And besides I got used to the other way to answers phone calls.

Swype up to reject...
Thanx man I just notice that. Lol. But I wish I could back to the wat it use to be. Hope find someone who can help me fix it.

I think the swipe options appear when your screen is off and the accept/reject buttons.for qhen your screen is on.

Absolutely correct... And OP: U wouldn't have asked that if you had read the f***ing manual
Cheers
I know that already but My other phone doesn't do that even if the screen is off. I wish I could a video for you guys to see it. Duh! otherwise I wouldn't be asking for help.

What is your other phone? If its a Desire, is it running Sense?
Sent from my HTC Desire
Yes it is and is also running sense that's why I say the that was weird.

Then record what happens from the other Desire and host the video on youtube ))
The way it should work is:
- If screen is off/or/phone is locked -> then the swipe up to answer, swipe down to decline appears.
- If phone is unlocked and screen is on -> then the box with accept/decline call appears.
I don't really understand what is happening with you.

WiFi issue

I have been having problem with the WiFi shutting off when the phone goes to sleep. Is there a setting or app that will keep it from shutting off?

Try going into settings display sleep and choose never
I dont want the display to stay on. It seems like the same issue that some of the other HTC one phones have. HTC says its normal. I think it's really annoying.

I don't have this phone, but my girlfriend got it recently. I will have to confirm this later, but try this. As with other HTC phones, this should be similar. Go into main menu/settings/wi-fi. Once in the wi-fi section where it will show your available connections, try pressing menu. Then select advanced. You should have an option that you can change for "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep". Obviously select "Always". See if you can find this through the menu settings and if it solves your problem. This should be what you are looking for.
It was already set to always.

Wifi Keep Alive
This has happened on nearly every android phone I've had too... I usually forget about it until it annoys me again, but there is an app in the play store called "Wifi Keep Alive". I can't vouch for it but the reviews look decent. Be sure to have task killer ignore it if you have one, or that would be a waste lol.

I think you meant "make a rom", not a tom lol. Is it obvious yet I'm trying to hit the 10 posts lol?
this has happened on every Android device i have owned, which is not many but yeah. I usually just try and ignore it, my phone turns back on the wifi anyways after I unlock it.

[Q] HTC One X Issues Since Flash

Hello All,
Iv got a couple of issues with my HTC One X since I flashed and installed Venom last week
It wont let me change the volume of my handset using the button on the side, it randomly turns the camera flash on
any ideas what it could be?
is it worth just sticking the original rom back on the device?
Thanks
Chris
