Htc One V India version stuck on Wifi Turning On - HTC One V

Hi everyone,
My HTC One V phone has developed a strange problem. The Wifi does not turn on and is always stuck at Turning on and off loop.. Previously this used to occur once a while and got solved after rebooting phone, but now it occurs even after reboot. I don't think its a hardware issue as Bluetooth is working fine. Also in the system information the MAC address of wifi is being shown.
I am not sure but this problem may have started to occur after OTA update. Thats why I want to change my rom to see if this wifi problem could be fixed.
The details of my phone is as follow:
baseband: 20.76.30.0835u_3831.19.00.120
build: 2.24.720.1 CL 98360
kernal 3.0.16-g133e482
hboot: 1.18.000
version: India
I found RUU stock for my phone RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_hTC_Asia_India_2.09.720.1_Radio_20.72.30.0833U_3831.17.00.18_M_release_264251_signed.exe
But since the phone Hboot was updated to 1.18 during OTA updates, i am not being able to flash this rom as it is meant for older hboot 1.17..
And I cannot find the newer stock rom 2.24.720.1
I have unlocked by bootloader, S-ON and have TWRP recovery installed... Please help me?

WIFI not working after upgrade to 2.29.405.2

Hi everybody, I have problem after upgrading from 2.10.405.2 to 2.29.405.2
After this upgrade I am not able to switch WiFi ON. It always stays OFF saying an error message while I am trying to start it.
I have tried to upgrade radio. Successfully upgraded to latest (32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27), but WiFi is still dead.
I have NOT rooted Desire. Update was made by ZIP file from Recovery. Originally it was Orange branded phone.
Anyone can help me please? Thank you in advance.
Latest radio is 5.14.05.17. You can download it here. When I upgraded the update worked for me fine. Can't you upgrade further since there is 2.29.405.5 version out?
Thank you for your answer. I have sucessfully upgraded radio from your link to 5.14 but WiFi is still disabled - dead.
Do I need to do RUU flash for upgrading to 2.29.405.5? I have tried to RUU with 2.29.405.2 but with no success - so does it meen I need to have gold card? It looks my phone is debranded. Am I right?
If you're not sure if your phone is locked on a specific network, just try to use another SIM and see what happens.
As for unrooting, there is no express need for the goldcard if you are using a generic RUU, but is required if using a specific RUU.
No, it is not locked. But why it refused to RUU? Perhaps I use wrong RUU. Which generic RUU should I try? And - will it fix my dead wifi?
Check this thread for a comprehensive list of official RUUs. Assuming you are using a GSM version of the Desire, I would recommend this .
If after the succesfull update of the RUU your wifi does not come back to life, you should make use of the warranty.
Oh my god! I have realized that this Desire IS ROOTED!!!! That should be a reason why it created mess and now WiFi is not working properly.
So I will try to flash some rooted rom.

Try this:
Go to wireless networks
press menu button
select advanced
select the wifi channel policy
after you have selected the wifi channel policy you will be able to turn on wifi.
this used to happen to me when i changed rom on my htc desire. the problem is that the wifi channel is not selected. it just keeps turning on and off. the above procedure solved the problem for me. hope this helps.
Thank you for replies. I have solved the problem by flashing another rooted rom. Now I am 2.29.405.5
to jamy: it's a pitty I flashed the phone sooner as I have read your post. I am really wondering if it would help...
Anyway thank you, guys!

[Q] Updated to JB but no WIFI / BT /phone signal

Hi all,
Just spent the last six hours trying to get my One X onto JB- well I got it on finally but now have lost WIFI/BT/Data and signal.
I started with bootloader 00.93.0000 I think, then attempted to install JB. This didn't work... So I tried to upgrade the bootloader to 1.31.
I then installed RUU 2.17.401.2 Radio 2.1204.135.20 trying to revert the damage of installing JB with wrong bootloader and upgrade the bootloader thinking .91 was the reason I couldnt update using fastboot commands, it would always hang as it was pushing the file.
I think the above RUU gave me the wrong radio. (was asking for date/time on bootup)
I then used the JBFWTOOL which have me the 1.31 bootloader and then I reflashed Revolution HD 14.
I then installed revolution 9.7.2 thinking it was to do with JB but this hasn't worked either.
It worked the second time around but I have no signal/bt/wifi.
Device ID is HTC_001 s-on
Believe it was O2 but was unlocked I use a 3 sim card in it.
I can still get to the bootloader menu etc
I don't know what else to do. The RUUs wont work due to bootloader and I haven't found any info on just changing wireless packacges like you can with odin.
Please help!
you never mentioned flashing the boot.img
1- update bootloader(seems you already did) and unlock and install cust.recovery
2- flash the boot.img file included in ARHD's rom.zip from the bootloader, fastboot flash boot C:/location_of_boot.img_on_pc
3- install the arhd rom.zip from cust.recovery
Note: sadly since you have installed a new hboot (anything greater than 1.23) there is no way to use an old RUU (ICS), new RUU's wont be released anytime soon (unless leaked)
hence, i recommend properly installing your JB and stick with it, after all its much better than ICS , unless you experience one of the hardware bugs.
Once the newer (1.33) bootloader is released(should be this week), it should fix all currently known bugs, and then you are safe to flash use latest ARHD or Maximus Roms for daily use.

[Q] No GPS after flash

Hi there, first post for me. I've searched and searched but can't find a solution, so am resorting to asking for help. My rooted One X was working fine, I unlocked it a few months ago to run things like Titanium and Cerberus (hidden). But recently HTC announced a 4.2.2 update, which I wanted, so I relocked the bootloader and ran an RUU so I could install the upcoming OTA. Here is the filename of the RUU I used:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Ra dio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
That worked fine, after which I received a small OTA from HTC, not the 4.2.2 update but some bugfixes. That installed ok. But since either the RUU or the small OTA, my GPS doesn't work. It won't find a single satellite (I've tried GPSstatus and there is no signal) Everything else seems to work (I haven't tested bluetooth). I should mention that a few months ago I had the weak wifi problem, which I fixed. Signal strength on wifi is perfect so I'm confident that this is a software problem.
Here's the software on my phone:
HTC__001
Android 4.1.1, Sense 4+
Software number 3.20.401.1
SDK API 4.63
Kernal version 3.1.10-g03b5369 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version 5.1204.162A.29
Build number 3.20.401.1 CL156838 release-keys
Hboot is (if I recall correctly) 1.39
I suspect I have the wrong boot.img file. The phone was bought almost a year ago from Expansys, it is SIM unlocked and not branded to any carrier. I live in the UK.
Thanks in advance.

try factory reset from bootloader or from booted phone ....did you rooted the rom?

Hi, yes I've tried a factory reset. I am currently rooted.
Well I seem to have fixed it. I installed TWRP and flashed these nandroids:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
None of them made any difference. That was suspicious, so I took the back off the phone and checked the GPS contacts for the antenna. They seemed ok but just in case, I levered them out slightly, to make better contact with the antenna. Upon putting the phone back together, GPS is back.
So I've just restored the nandroid backup I made earlier this afternoon, and GPS is back there, too. Seven satellites found and locked within as many seconds.
It must have been pure coincidence that the GPS contacts failed at about the same time I started flashing.

HTC One V RUU Problem

Hello Friends,
I recently was fed up of my ROM so i updated it with the RUU and it went fine, but then i did software update from device ( OTA update) once and then it worked fine, then again i updated it once as it was showing one update but after that second update it did not receive the signal and my phone became dead as far as signal was considered. after that i tried to run again RUU to restore it back but it shows error that uncorrect RUU version. I tried installing other custom ROM but it stucks now and i am waiting at bootloader in wait of your help.
My details of phone are
Device : HTC One V CDMA Virgin Mobile
HBOOT 1.57.000
RADIO 1.00.00.0928
Can anyone please help me to get my phone running. i would be grateful for any help as i am stuck at this point.

radio invalid fix?

searched all day yesterday and seemingly i need s-off to fix my firmware (radio)?
if so how did it get the wrong one in from flashing a rom if you need s-off to change it?
Hboot 3.16
orang001
twrp 2.7.x.x ( any higher hangs at entering recovery )
leedroid os boots works fine except no comms most likely because of radio issue.
fastboot from pc working
update: flashed an older rom and i now have a working phone again with wifi and cellular working.
but looking in hboot radio still says invalid!
dont worry about it?
and/or upgrade hboot / firmware etc? then i can move forward with newer roms/android?
Your current hboot version is too low for all the available custom ROMs on Development section.
You need to do OTA update up to at least 4.19.61.3 or the best to 6.12.61.4
Once you do the update I believe your radio problem will be fixed.
