Hi there, first post for me. I've searched and searched but can't find a solution, so am resorting to asking for help. My rooted One X was working fine, I unlocked it a few months ago to run things like Titanium and Cerberus (hidden). But recently HTC announced a 4.2.2 update, which I wanted, so I relocked the bootloader and ran an RUU so I could install the upcoming OTA. Here is the filename of the RUU I used:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Ra dio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
That worked fine, after which I received a small OTA from HTC, not the 4.2.2 update but some bugfixes. That installed ok. But since either the RUU or the small OTA, my GPS doesn't work. It won't find a single satellite (I've tried GPSstatus and there is no signal) Everything else seems to work (I haven't tested bluetooth). I should mention that a few months ago I had the weak wifi problem, which I fixed. Signal strength on wifi is perfect so I'm confident that this is a software problem.
Here's the software on my phone:
HTC__001
Android 4.1.1, Sense 4+
Software number 3.20.401.1
SDK API 4.63
Kernal version 3.1.10-g03b5369 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version 5.1204.162A.29
Build number 3.20.401.1 CL156838 release-keys
Hboot is (if I recall correctly) 1.39
I suspect I have the wrong boot.img file. The phone was bought almost a year ago from Expansys, it is SIM unlocked and not branded to any carrier. I live in the UK.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, yes I've tried a factory reset. I am currently rooted.
Well I seem to have fixed it. I installed TWRP and flashed these nandroids:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
None of them made any difference. That was suspicious, so I took the back off the phone and checked the GPS contacts for the antenna. They seemed ok but just in case, I levered them out slightly, to make better contact with the antenna. Upon putting the phone back together, GPS is back.
So I've just restored the nandroid backup I made earlier this afternoon, and GPS is back there, too. Seven satellites found and locked within as many seconds.
It must have been pure coincidence that the GPS contacts failed at about the same time I started flashing.

hey,
i bought my one x 1 week ago, updated it to 1.28 OTA offical. all was fine so i unlocked bootloader, flashed recovery and a custom rom. all was fine again. but after 2 days i had signal problems. it started with 2-3 completly dissconnects and went until today to 30-40 dissconnects. i dont have data this time, cant recivece or send sms or take a call.
radio: 1.1204.90.13
hboot: 0.94.0000
my provider said i should put it to waranty but before i do this i want to know if there is any solution for my problem ?
in additon i restored my stock nandroid backup which i made before wiping and flashing a cr, flashed the stock recovery and relocked the bootloader. will there be a problem about waratny loss ?
also my bootloader dosent check anymore if there is pjxxx.zip so i cant do this right now.
Cheers
EDIT: my current version is 1.28.169 and the ruu i tried to install is 1.26.
Hi!
Recently I received a "HTC One X" as a gift from a relative of mine. He bought it from UAE. Its pure stock and receives OTA updates.
At preset its software stands:
Android: 4.0.4
HTC Sense: 4.1
Software: 2.17.415.2
SDK: 4.23
HTC Extension: HTCExtension_403_1_GA_20
Kernel: 2.6.39.4-gacfdfb2 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband: 2.1204.135.20
Build: 2.17.415.2 CL97613 release-keys
Browser: Webkit/534.30
I am in Asia and I don't like that arabic keyboard and despite my city being listed in timezone searc,it is not listed in timezone settings in "Date & Time" menu, hence every time I am on-line there is a notification saying "Timezone detection failed. Select..."
The stock apps like notes and others, type in the weird side that is RTL typing, which is pretty creepy.
Even though it shows some exceptional battery backup(I always charge it upto 85-90%) I want to flash it to WWE so that this arabic keypad and everything weird arabic goes away. I googled(newbie at it) and the results are all "Android Revolution HD" roms. I did a search here and found "mike1986" posted here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970".
I am open to suggestions and advices. And how do I check if my bootloader is unlocked?
Thanks!
P.S: I use cwm recovery to flash roms in my Nexus One. I can use adb fastboot to flash img files as well which I did on my nexus one back when I bought it.
If you got the phone new you'll have a locked bootloader unless you have actively unlocked it yourself. You might be able to flash the 2.17.401.2 RUU as they both work on both CID so perhaps give it a go. It WILL wipe the phone when you do it, though

Hey, thanks for your quick reply
I have finally unlocked my bootloader from "HTCDev.com" 15 minutes back and kept a copy of "Unlock_code.bin" safely into my backup.
I did a little googleing+reading around and found that RUU is a complete package with radio, system images into a neat little executable.
I have noticed several RUU and there were no independent WWE like my Nexus One had, instead there were "hTC Asia WWE" or "hTC Asia SEA WWE". I wonder if the Asia is the right one for me. Then again there are also different radio versions. I wonder if OTA updates my radio or not.
I also spotted a RUU that had the same radio/baseband and software version but it had the string "40_S_hTC_Asia_WWE" in it and I wonder if that "S" is for One S or just a naming.
I just want to flash a stock that has English(US) and that receives OTA rather than me downloading and flashing them manually.
There were some talk about S-OFF related to RUU and something about GoldCard but no explanation what so ever.
I will be looking around and waiting for more replies so that I know what I am doing before I proceed to do anything.
I just found that my CID :HTC_J15
which is HTC-GCC according to this post:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660807
Thanks!
Hi everyone,
My HTC One V phone has developed a strange problem. The Wifi does not turn on and is always stuck at Turning on and off loop.. Previously this used to occur once a while and got solved after rebooting phone, but now it occurs even after reboot. I don't think its a hardware issue as Bluetooth is working fine. Also in the system information the MAC address of wifi is being shown.
I am not sure but this problem may have started to occur after OTA update. Thats why I want to change my rom to see if this wifi problem could be fixed.
The details of my phone is as follow:
baseband: 20.76.30.0835u_3831.19.00.120
build: 2.24.720.1 CL 98360
kernal 3.0.16-g133e482
hboot: 1.18.000
version: India
I found RUU stock for my phone RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_hTC_Asia_India_2.09.720.1_Radio_20.72.30.0833U_3831.17.00.18_M_release_264251_signed.exe
But since the phone Hboot was updated to 1.18 during OTA updates, i am not being able to flash this rom as it is meant for older hboot 1.17..
And I cannot find the newer stock rom 2.24.720.1
I have unlocked by bootloader, S-ON and have TWRP recovery installed... Please help me?
Hello,
I've just received my One M8 some days ago. It came with Lollipop and I immediately did a system update to 6.0 Marshmallow.
Next step was unlocking bootloader and rooting it by installing LeeDroiD (based on stock Sense). At this point I discovered that the phone did not want to connect to my car audio and my bluetooth speakers. The One M8 simply does not show these devices. It DOES see my Moto G and my laptop computer's bluetooth which implicates that BT is not 100% broken. Sadly I can not say if it ever worked well, because I did not check with original HTC Android.
System information:
Bootloader unlocked, S-ON
HBOOT: 3.19.0.0000
Radio: 1.29.214500021.12G
Open-DSP: v51.2.2-00593-M8974_FO.1015
OS: 6.12.401.4
I've also tested bluetooth on CM13.0 and a SkyDragon version of stock Sense ROM, but same result.
Not being able to use my hands free calling in my car makes this devices a useless brick for me
Is it possible that the initial system update did not work properly? I'm thinking about flashing a 6.12.401.4 RUU (altough I'm already on this firmware) what might get hard, because I'm S-ON and Sunshine keeps telling me that my ROM is not stock enough.
As far as I know I can not flash a RUU of the same version when I'm not S-OFF. But in order to get S-OFF, I need a stock Android system...
Any ideas? I'm ready for anything

RUU is what I would try, for 2 reasons:
1) RUU is a "cleaner" way to update, it re-writes all partitions. OTA often just patches what has changed, plus migrates user data, which can often lead to random issues.
2) It sounds like you went straight to a custom ROM. So its best to RUU to a full "stock" baseline, then see if you still have the problem.
Be aware that RUU will wipe the phone, so backup any data you want to keep accordingly.

RUU of the same version is fine (for "repair" such as in your case) with s-on. The limitation is running an older version RUU, which is only possible with s-off.
A RUU update worked for me!
Thank you for the note that flashing the same version is fine on S-ON. It was no problem; after that I could easily S-OFF via root and Sunshine.
Bluetooth is working fine now! I never was a friend of OTA updates and I never will be. So it was the right way going the clean way. :good:
Warning, quite often think i'm doing better than i am with this android stuff. So I have a feeling I jumped the gun a bit with my updating to a new ROM and have some how broken my radio signal.
I got the HTC 10 on UK Carrier EE on release and immediately rooted, S-OFF and updated to the 1.30.401.1 firmware which EE was taking their sweet ass time to do as per usual.
Since then i'd not really bothered with anything and had neglected to run any titanium or backups, and I was getting an OTA to 1.80.xxx being offered. Being a bit of a noob i wasn't sure whether to take this OTA (Was this my mistake?) so just took my photos and important bits off the phone to my computer, wiped it and just came and downloaded the latest LeeDroid ROM 2.28.617 and flashed that onto my phone.
All seemed well until i got no signal - "Service State : Radio Off"
So decided to go back to 6.0 and 1.30.401.1 with stock recovery which i downloaded from a source on XDA, perhaps I've flashed the wrong versions?
This is what is displayed in bootlaoder currently,

Is there any other information i can provide that would be helpful? I'm just hoping someone can point me in the right direction, I'm versed at flashing via SD card, just started using adb commands etc
Many thanks for reading and any help you can offer.
Edit:
Dialing *#*#4636#*#*
Pressing Turn On Radio does nothing.
Can no one even offer a thought? Please? I've reflashed various roms/firmwares and nothing-I can get everything working apart from radio signal. Someone please help!
Have you tried a RUU file? You will lose everything in internal memory, but not sd, so remember to backup. Definitely not a signal issue in your location?

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm not worries about stuff on the phone that is long gone! I've tried various RUU but just get ERROR 155: UNKNOWN ERROR
I just tried RUU_PERFUME_WL_M60_SENSE80GP_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.80.617.1
and RUU_PERFUME_WL_N70_SENSE80GP_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_2.28.617.8
I flashed Viper last night and that upgraded my firmware, android version etc but still no signal and no ability to turn it on via #*#*4636*#*#
Currently my download mode displays

Perhaps I'm flashing the wrong things/using incorrect RUU due to lack of knowledge.
Is anyone in the UK on EE that could send me a Nandroid or something? I must admit i'm out of my depth here!
Thanks for helping!
