occasionally it's happened with my sensation and I've found this method:
recharge to 100% and remove the battery for 3 or 4 hours, then put it back and connect the phone to the charger, turn it on and appreciate the maximum brightness ....
let me know if this method works on your device ...

[Q] HTC Desire CDMA troubles

Hello ,
My HTC Desire (CDMA) will not cold boot into the bootloader (the one with all the radio and Hboot stuff) , all it will do is vibrate 3 times and show a green notification light at the top and show a blank screen and when I press the power button after charging and leaving it alone for a few hours it gets stuck on the HTC boot screen for a full 8 hours
Can anyone please provide any info as why this is happening? Thxs in advance

What was the last thing you did before this started happening? Did you flash anything, drop it on a hard surface, anything like that? This sounds like a hardware problem almost.

Sudden DIM screen\Low brightness problem..help plz?

Hello,
i have a new htc WILDFIRE S phone and I use CM9 on it..the problem is that recently...i was trying to recalibrate the battery...and my phone had 3% left and i was checking the brightness...when i suddenly by mistake slided the brightness slider to max...the brightness turned to max allrite..but then the phone got shutdown...it didnt start..i plug out the battery and plugged it back in...and it started ok..everything works fine..but the screen is set to be at very low brightness..to be more precise...well it looks like its stuck on DIM mode..you know...the brighntess level that your phone goes before screen time out?
I tried to changed the brightness setting now...and it doesnt work...the brightness slider goes as much as i want..but it doesnt affect the brightness....can anyone help please.......??? I tried wipping it all as well and installing a fresh ROM..still it doesnt work..i cleaned..factory reset/dalvic cache and everything before installling the rom again..
p.s: it looks like to me that because of very battery low..and very high brightness setting hte phone suddenly got in some kind of safe mode..with lowest brightness setting....and now its not getting out of it...i dont knw if its true or wat juz my idea...really need response quick..thanks..
Update: I wipped everything...and tried to do a nandroid restore of the stock rom..still the same prob...... i feel so screwed right now and no one is replying here either..?????????? also i can see a lil bit of flickering..not too prominent..but when i observe close i can see..

I guess you broke your screen. If you flashed the ROM and didn't get to high brightness in any way, most definitely the screen is broken.
Also when we boot our phone, (when the htc screen comes), the brightness is at highest at that animation, can you see the phone on normal brightness then or still it's dimmed?

no...the screen is dim on startup HTC logo as well... u sure its a hardware problem..? i mean it didnt get wet or anything..all that happened is...the battery was low as 3% i was adjusting the brightness...the phone went off and i had to plug battery out and insert back in..till then its dimmed..i thought some kind of power saver settings took place(fingers crossed..)but i guess i am wrong? any buddy got any idea?

me thought the same..... it should be a hardware issue... in addittion no one ever reported like this... so mostly hardware....
Im 100% sure its hardware issue now. The rom settings only take into effect after the boot animation of rom. Before that its all the bootloader and all. The brightness should be high when on htc screen.
Get the phone checked at service center.

ok thanks for the info bro...i juz have some question..is it the screen itself that is the problem? or its the LEDs at the back of screen that is not working? I mean i was searching around forum...and there were posts that suggested that the LEDs back of the screen has it all to do with the brightness of the screen...and as the screen works 100% perfect with 100% responsiveness...is it possible that it is those LEDs? im juz asking because i think changing those LEDs may not cost as much as changing the whole screen? Ofcourse, i will take it to a repair center but juz curious..any idea bro?
Thanks.
Im no expert on this matter but i guess what you are saying may be right. My old phone, which was a nokia worked the same way. I broke the led's which caused the screen to dim out. It was a simple phone without touch so idk how much they both resemble but you can ask any expert if you know of.

[TUT] Turning back you G-Sensor on for Sense 5

A lot of people is complaining out there of their broken g-sensor and possibly other sensors included , as the sense 5 camera being off all the time as it a lot dependable on it , but there have been found couple of ways to get sensors back on and it mostly work all the time , so until some will provide a camera mod people may use this mod for reviving the g-sensor back
SO HERE ARE 3 WAYS and keep cautious as these methods may harm your device
METHOD 1
-the idea is to overheat your HOX , keeping at active all the time till we get it on
-You need your battery to be around 50% not more than that , as you need to give it a chance to charge
-I open my data connection + map + navigation + screen on brightest available and on all the time + and connect it to car charger (it worked once without being connecte to charger ) the phone will heat up fast within 5 minutes ( Keep my phone connected to charger all through the process )
-once you feel your device is hot enough do a restart (fast boot way works for me )
-once your device is on back try to run your camera to see if your g-sensor is back
-and once its back , dont turn your device off or restart it as the g-sensor will go back offline and that including flashing a new ROM
-I have used g-sensor debug APP from play store to check my g-sensor all the time , once you turn it on it will recognize it as Panasonic 3-axis Acceleration sensor with numbers running up and down , but if the g-sensor is off ill will show nothing
METHOD 2
A help from a friend here used this way as he used StabilityTest app from the Play Store.
-Run “Scaling Stability Test (Root)”,
-leave it running whilst doing other things.
- After little while temperature will reach above 50°,
- restart the phone and then sensor should start working
-and again dont retart your device or turn it off as your sensor will go off again
METHOD 3
1. put on your phone around 20 songs in a format that is not supported ( .FLAC . AAC etc.)
2. make a playlist of these songs and try playing them. (this will hopefully crash your phone, if not, open some memory consuming apps as well)
3. after the crash start your phone with working sensors
METHOD 4
some people has reported that going into bootloader and flash boot.img and clear cache after that would somehow initiate sensors on reboot
!!DISCLAIMER!!
Please note that I tried this only several times on my device. THIS MAY RUIN YOUR PHONE
there is a big chance that your sensor will not start working from the first try but eventually it will
Special Thanks to @ATZ-007 for his 2nd way
Special Thanks to @getsomefood for his 3rd way
Update 9/22/2013
HTC has releases a new camera APK that can work without g-sensor being online here it is http://d-h.st/PUd , but this wouldnt turn your g-sensor back but at least this ill restore functionality of our lovely HOX back
special thanks to @virgolib

I'm not sure what kind of defect with every g-sensor out there at HOX but it seems symptoms do vary at each device , this method does the work all the time for me and also I had to repeat this process couple of times , the strange thing at my device that this g-sensor is till functioning great for the last week with no glitches , on other pages some guys recommended using g-sensor calibration at safe mode after disabling fastboot from power settings
Umm interesting how heat is helping in this situation. I would of thought it would of been related to a kernel problem as most had no issues before updating.
Has anyone tried trips kernel, see of the issue is still on there?

there are 2 ways to get your camera to work again
1- get your g-sensor back online , here you can find a way by overheating your device
2-to find someone there to provide a mod for the camera app to start without depending on the g-sensor

use data connection like HSPA +charging battery +using GPS + place screen on High brightness for sure wll increase device's Temperature a lot
( charging and discharging at the same time will increase battery's Temp a lot )
Just saying.....if (over)heating helps to fix a problem ...it's definitely a hardware problem.
Get warranty....
Well i will try it, but i need to over heat it to max so it restart automatically? I think at 80 C it restarts auto, btw Hofs, no warranty, and i think if i go to repair with it only way how they can repair it replace full main board.. And i dont think so it will be cheap thing I am not care about this but i am care about fix camera, on sense 4 it was working, i need just somebody to remove this gyro mode to get it work..

When i put the phone to charge, backlight works (it shows battery bar and charging like it should). But when i try to power it on, then backlight doesnt work, i have to light with a lamp.
It happened after i changed my cracked screen. I checked twice that all the wiring is correct.
I really hope to get some help
Thanks for all the answers!
