Im trying to find out what I did only one time and cant get it to do it again. Basically I was ib the stock browser and trying to access the side swype in toolbar as I have the setting on in labs. And I accidently ended up with a rectangular magnifying box that I fould move around with my finger. It reminded me of an iphone were u are trying to move the cursor when typing. If anyone knows how to actually use this feature and can let me know I would appreciate it. I tried googling as best I could and only find results from the s4 having a similar feature. And for anyone who may suggest it is a motion enabled setting I have them turned off completly. And as well this was done with my finger not the Spen.

I realise this isn't a Desire specific question, but since my Desire will be arriving tomorrow and Leap seems to be a perfect partner for this idea, I thought I'd put it out there.
Basically I want to know if a full-screen widget could be designed and placed on one home-screen, where it would remain at all times for easy access?
At the moment, on my Dream I've not found anything like that. I know you can bring up the 6 last-used apps by holding down the Home key but that takes around 2 sec before the window comes up giving you access.
What I want is some elegant way to instantly access my browser/internet.
I have used Bar Control to add a browser short cut to my notification bar - this is slightly quicker than holding down Home. But I'd really like to use Leap.
Any ideas, guys & gals?
There's a bookmarks widget that gives you access to all of the differnet bookmarks you have saved with little thumbnails for each one.
ive never used an android phone so still playing with it to get the hang of it. will update if i find anything like it!
Mmm, what I'm really after is a browser page that will stay open on one homepage exactly as you left it. So you can go away, do something else and then return to the same place you left off. Rather than a list of bookmarks.
Ultimately, I suppose what I'm really trying to solve is the slow multitasking interaction (Home button held down). If there was an instant click into your running apps/recently used apps list, then there would be no reason (other than aesthetic) for this widget I'm asking for.
What I'd really love is for a quick double-click on Home to instantly bring up all you open apps. Perhaps this is something that can be achieved by remapping keys/buttons? It couldn't be that hard to code, could it? (Disclaimer: I've not written a line of code for 23yrs since I was 10yrs old, and trying to learn Basic!).
try using opera that might help solve this problem. I can see where your coming from with this though!
so i just got a tilt 2 today. and I can't get screen orientation to change whenever I would like it to. I have calibrated G-Sensor and it works for a few programs. But it doesn't work for the home screen. I put a registry editor on my phone and noticed that the gsensor only has like 5 programs for it. how can i go about fixing this? I've tried to do a few searches, but haven't been able to find quite what I'm looking for
You want to use this:
[APP] G-Config (Configurator for the new SensorSDK 4)
really simple to add programs to your rotation registry.
If you read through that thread There's a way to ad manilla/sense/touchflo3d.... whatever you call it as everyone calls it what they want to the list.
That said, you will find this REALLY annoying. I had it set to that back when I had my touch pro and after a day I got rid of it cause even if you tilt the phone slightly the phone rotated and yeah... just annoying as hell.
An alternative you can have is download RhodiumKBDControl. Search for it on google and you'll find it. You can program buttons on your phone to do certain things. Most people with the tilt2 reprogram their PTT button to do something like open the camera or rotate the screen or adjust the brightness. The cool thing about it is you can program it so a long press does one thing while a single press does another while a double or triple press does something different too. This works for ANY key on our phone.
You're better off setting it to rotate via the button because like said after a day or so you'll just be sick of it.

use the registry editor and you can add the programs yourself. all you need to know is the class name and where the .exe is stored. i have a .reg back up file to add rotation to apps. i originally found it on here somewhere but ive added/removed a few things.
otherwise you can do it manually.. if u want to know how, tell me; No mch time to write, right now

I did a search on this and found others asking and frustrated but no answers. Perhaps someone here can lead me in the right direction.
I notice the annoyance of this in landscape mode and I am talking about the s-pen auto scroll. Lets say you are using Dolphin browser and you want to type something in the keyboard pepper up taking 50% of the screen The tabs of the browser take Up another 15% . This leaves a small window to Work in. When you use the s-pen to scroll around auto-scroll jvmqs around at full speed this makes it difficult to use the pen to click on the next box.
Anyone had this problem?

Hello, I just bought Note 4 and me previous phone was Note 1! Its a big change but some stuff isn't in Note 4 or maybe i dont know how to use it yet
First I want to use customized widgets on lock screen, I could do that in jellybean but in kitkat i cant put any widgets on lock screen and there I tried to Google it but couldn't find any options called "enable lock widgets" in security settings, its not there!
and I dont want to use and thrid party softwares like lockgo
2nd question is about S-Note software, in Note 1 I could type some mathematical equations, i dont see this option anymore in Note 4, and I could make Squares and Circles manually which isn't available too
That is a huge leap!
I don't know about lockscreen widgets, as I never liked, nor used, them, but my guess is Samsung ditched them because they won't be in Android 5.0. Instead, we'll get notifications on the lockscreen, which I think will be infinitely more useful. I do know how to get S Note to recognize formulas, though:
Open S Note. Write a formula with the S-pen (or your fingers). Then, select it using the selection tool at the top. (It will tell you which tools are which if you hover the S-pen over them.) Then, click Transform Into when the menu pops up. Finally, click formula.
Ok thanks for the answers, i have one more question
I could use a wide wallpaper and when you move your home screen it extends to far right and left so you could see more of the wallpaper but now its always fixed picture,I tried to use some other software from Play but none of them worked

You're welcome, and as far as I know, it would take root to change that. Maybe someone else knows something, though.
So I've been fooling around with my spen on different apps. Originally I could use spen gestures on the samsung internet app. As of lately it seems all I can do set the button... I dont understand why this is. If I'm missing something please point it out.
