(Request)S View Window Customizations? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

So as the title states I'm wondering if this would be difficult. Basically I would like the option to be able to use more or all apps in the S View Window as well as change background, live wallpapers etc. I will be looking into devoting this sort of feature on my own so anyone that wants to chime in on the subject I.e. difficulry or advice on where to start, would be great. Or if someone has already started working on something like this let me know . I think this could make this device even more awesome than it already is.

This has already been done! It's an app called pen window manager. Search for it by name and you will find it. I might however be mixing up what the pen window is and what the s view window is. If the s view window is the semi circle window that pops up when you pull out your stylus, then I am absolutely mistaken.

I think he means the sview window for those that bought the sview cover from Samsung. Right now its only limited to camera, music, n action memo.

Absolutely wrong on both assessments. The S-View window is the area that shows up in the opening of the S-View cover.
Yeah, I'd love to be able to change the music app to Google Music and add a couple of more windows.

work in progess. Picking thru the LG G2 code to see how they did it. The options are not much, but the G2 has some cool window view functions. BUT they are not really that cool. just being able to change the clock and a couple other features. I wouldn't hold my breath on more functions until a port of the G2 stuff is figured out.

Nice, wasn't expecting too much but just maybe some kind of theming or like you said some weather app mods. Maybe add a widget or 2

I just noticed in this pic there are 3 windows?/ Anybody have any idea how that's possible. I have 2 windows. CLock and weather, Music/camera/memo screen.
There's no option to add more stuff on the Sview menu. This is going to def take alot of looking into .

Hi there,
Is there anything new on this topic ?
I really would enjoy being able to develop a video player or any other app as a "s view window widget". I am new to the Android programming world, does Samsung offer any API that can be used ?
Thanks

You can use Trigger to switch tasks.
Very very simple.
I made a short demonstration video of how to use Trigger to change tasks. Quality's not too good because I'm still not used to using Screencast yet.
You can use Trigger without gestures and that's by setting the dragging up, left, right, down directions to be the actions you want to activate. I've set the left action to be switch to previous task and the up action to be show Recent Apps.
And for a limited time, you can download Trigger from the Samsung Apps Store to get the full version that lets you make an unlimited amount of gestures.
Otherwise, you could download the free version of Trigger from the Play Store to try out.
Edit: If you want to move the Trigger Icon, you'll have to hold onto the icon for a second or so. If you don't hold, it'll activate the swiping actions instead.

I believe its because Trigger is still new and not popular enough yet.
Searching for Trigger Varience should have better results.
Also, in my original post, if you click the word Play Store, it'll link you directly to the app.

Fantastic app. Simple and easy.
Can't we add more devices to the assets library. There are some devices out there that aren't as popular to be noticed by the dev to include them.

However, I've never gotten that message if I hit the share button from the screen shot in the notification drawer and select device frame generator. Seems to be a decent workaround.

SPen command gestures.

I absolutely love my SPen and would really be lost without it. But for those of you who are not following the other thread about this subject it has been learned that there are some gestures you can do while holding down the SPen button. So while holding down the button and drawing a line up the left side it will bring up a search command prompt to search within the app you are currently using. Also if you hold it down and draw a ^ it will bring up the Menu. And if you draw a < it will go back just like the back button. Some of you may have already known this but I didn't and thought I would let everyone know what has been found. All credit for this find goes to budde2 because he is the one who told me about this.

you can go to the settings - "S Pen / Quick Command settings" and add more. I added the last one in this picture just as a test...
Or off you don't feel like making your own this app is actually pretty effin sweet ...I use the one made for touch not the spen but it definitely gives you alot more features than using the native quick commands option too...not sure off there's a lite version for this but there is one for the touch version.

Nope, I didn't do that, yet.
I need help reverting back to stock. I tried flashing the stock air command zip but all I get is the Air Command Menu with dark grey icons and the Zelda sound playing every time the Air Command menu pops up.

Unable to choose just once or default app

Is anyone else able to pick to make an app default or just one time use? Like pics show I pick which app I want and it automatically makes it the default app which I hate because I'm constantly having to choose which app then hit OK for default things change so quickly on my phone that I'm constantly choosing the app. With being able to choose just once a quick double tap on the app you want took you to that app.

I believe nova launcher is a problem. Try to delete it and post results. On note 4 I had same problem.

Uninstalled Nova same results I did a hard reset and from factory fresh I still cannot choose just once. Can you? Maybe I should try to reflash with odin? Surely it's not only my phone doing this. I assumed it was something samsung took out. My wife's s6 has the option though

After more research I guess it's a "feature" exclusive to the note 5

So when you choose your app you can pick just once or make it default?

I read it was a Samsung feature to make it easy on the users. Must be the iPhone migrants

Agreed....forbid anyone have to click more than once on something to make a decision....:banghead:
Aside from a few quirks like that though, still a good device.

Yah I love it. It seems like to me that I still end up having to choose either way so instead of double click I click then wait for dialog box then click again.

I've been using App Picker Classic, and it emulates the functionality close enough for me.

Samsung has released this as a stock feature on the Verizon and AT&T Variants that I have. I believe we will be seeing this on the 6.0 release for the GS6 variants as well. Don't quote me on that.
