Hi every1 i have a question doesn't make sense to overclock cpu or gpu or maybe both?
What i mean is how big difference is after oc?
If so which kernel is the best for it and how's battery drain?
Over clocking is not really needed as it's fast enough already.

I have yet to see any benchmark or performance difference between the two. I'm testing battery life currently to see if it makes a difference. Any thoughts? Does 512 over clock really bring differences vs 384 and does it hurt ocing gpu by that much?

Fwiw I'm running b29 + Franco's latest nightly 512 gpu currently.

Overclocking will always have trade-offs.
For increased GPU performance, you will likely see a battery hit.
Hi,
we also talk about CPU/GPU undervolt but i never heard someone who tried to undervolt the memory RAM/ROM ? In order to increase battery life.
I'm afraid of triying because no one tried yet, isn't ?
Majority of power goes to cpu and gpu and display. So there is no point on undervolting memory.

Hi
Are you sure? If you look at Stweak example for Cpu at 800mhz you have about 1015mv and memory get about 1000mv so it's around the same volt. I conclud that memory drain some battery ??
Thanks
You can undervolt memory, just take a look at the Memory/Internal section in STweaks.
You can but you will have hard time figuring out stable values

Ok thanks guys.
Did anyone tried to do this? ??
I recently flashed the KT747 for a super fast 2.1mHz CPU overclock. But then after flashing I realized it doesn't overclock the GPU that much.
Are there any kernels that can overclock the GPU to about 700mHz?
-Thanks for any help!
Sorry for CyanogenMod 10.1 (d2att) nightly ROM.
Does the new SiyahKernel work with the ATT Galaxy S3 running CM10.1 nightly?
Ah stupid me I meant 2.1ghz or 2106mHz CPU overclock.
I don't think any kernels do GPU OC, because it has shown to cause more problems than it is worth. That's just what I remember KT saying.

Most custom kernels if not all already have GPU OCd to 450mhz
Over clocking the GPU on a GS3 is not needed and even with it over clocked, you wouldn't tell the difference. It also leads to issues and battery drainage.
The S3 doesn't need OC at all 1.2Gz with 2Gz of ram leaves no place for lag.

Then how come when I play high quality games they lag so much on all qualities.

I haven't had any lag whatsoever at any point that I've had my S3. Try reflashing your rom and completely wiping. Also try a different kernel and kernel settings.
This phone shouldn't lag at all. Maybe a little on TouchWiz but never on AOSP

My s3 lags at 2.1 GHz too. Try it at 1.6 or 1.7 GHz or change governor settings to a faster ramp up one.
Any app for overclocking GPU?? not cpu .. i have yoon kernel.

No and there will not be one as the GPU can´t be overclocked. Why don´t you get familar with Snapdragon rather than asking such questions?
And btw. to incrase SD Card performance simply buy a faster one.
Ok, so I'm currently unhappy with my battery life. I used to underclock the CPU on my HTC Evo but im not sure how to do this on the S3 i found a guide under the I9300 for this but i need to know if it is usable for our device as well. Also, curious as to how overclocking the GPU affects battery life. Is it the same as overclocking the CPU or is there little to no change? Also i want to know the most common voltages used as well
