[Theme] Red Oreo v2.6 for CM 4.0.4 [8-31]

If anyone still uses this theme at least pm me, so that I will know whether or not I am wasting my time porting it to the newest builds, or I will just keep porting it and never bumping it and some one will for no reason be scouring 20+ pages back and be like wtf and up to date theme
Fairly current screen shots.
New status bar icons.
New clock.
Has the old launcher from the stable cyanogen roms.
New cyanogen boot screen.
Other clock is still available for download.
Just remove .zip extension, then adb remount, and finally adb push AlarmClock.apk /system/app/AlarmClock.apk if you want it instead of new one.
Added hero clock 5 to bottom of post in case anyone just wants it. just remove everything after.apk extension and use above process to put on phone
Have 2 versions one with a black clock in notification bar (same as always) and one with a white clock in the notification bar
Also changed the text color of the ticker to white
The clock that gets installed with the theme for some reason is 2x2, if you want a 4x3 clock install via the commands above.
The newest clock is AlarmClock.apk.hero5new.zip in the bottom of post, just remove everything after .apk
Added new notification pull down background
Cleaned up the battery icon some i.e. made it less jagged looking
Changed the data sync icons in the notification bar (I wonder if anyone can figure out where I jacked the icon from?)
I will bring back the the white clock version if there is any desire for it, but seeing that i do not use it, i won't do it if no one wants it.
Nothing new for CM 4.0.2
Made a new clock which is also in my filth theme but i think it does look a little bit more home here will put a screenshot of it up later when i get up. really, really late here. (will do at some point but was working on a new theme today, ported this and filth to CM4.0.4, and other fun stuff)
Flashing
Place download on root of your sdcard (rename to update.zip if you do not have v1.4 of cyanogen's recovery)
Reboot into recovery
Do not wipe before flashing theme
Go to apply any zip from sd (only Cyanogen's 1.4 recovery) select the download name to flash) or if you renamed it to update.zip select apply sdcard:update.zip
After it installs reboot.
Allow up to 10 minutes for initial boot. if you get antsy do adb logcat.

Works fine on cm3.9
All u need is the transparent lockscreen and revert back to the white text in notification bar but its a definite keeper tho

Which version are you using? And thank you but the biggest thing I put time into changing was the test color and loading bar colors

Looks awesome, oreo is my theme of choice, you said you were taking requests, I would love to see a red version.

How much red? Like notification text with more of black feel for the background. I could easily do that, but it would take a few days before of my crappy work schedule to change most of the blue selecting images to red. I could post the notification text mod tonight, if thats what you want, but if you do want more let me know and give me some time

all i did with that version was change the boot screen bc someone asked for it lol. i didn't change anything beside 2 images. i am about to up a red preview version with htc boot per request and a version of my blue with the htc boot.

red theme
i finally got a somewhere with the red theme. i like the way notification bar look maybe i should carry this one out

V6 with the with text. Is the ish...couldn't really ask for a better theme...gr8 work..days of figuring out how to edit progess bars are behind us

well i like the way the red theme is shaping up. well i just isolated all the remaining files i want to edit and its 163. maybe i can work on it some more over the next week or so and have an actual theme i can really say i worked on out lol. oh well. glad i was able to help with the progress bars. on one of the threads i put up my process for how i edit them. its actually amazingly easy.
i can post some screenshots sunday night of how the red theme is going if anyone would like to see some

If the friggin battery doesn't kill me first.... i suck with the actual changing of images... xml's are easy enough for what i do with maybe i can ask sir*mez if i can use his battery from his red prodigal sun theme. That would make it soooooo much easier and make it look more complete for v3. It'll probably be a day or so before i can post v3 though because i get to drive 3 hours to a concert monday then 3 hours back lol.

Well with v3 I have gotten a lot more images changed than I possibly thought I would get done tonight. They're not as polished as they can be, but I want to get what I full rough version out before I go about get everything like I would like to get it.

Cage and friends (I can only hope friends means aesop rock). Well I am waiting a response from sir*mez ,but I finished all of the other files that I consider needed. Well like 145 of them in the past 5 hours. I haven't slept in like 24 hours and like 6 hours in the 2 days before that and now I get to drive all day. That's what they make monster and no-doz for though lol. When I get an internet connection hopefully in the next 24 hours I can post v3 which aside from the battery, looks overall pretty good to me. I'm still trying to get a few files to look better but eh ocd. Well peace. If anything else comes up I'll post

The aim of this theme is to mix certain ones up and provide a community sort of theme, that everyone has contributed to.
There have been many amazing themes released, based on the new Gingerbread. I took some of the releases and mixed them up a bit to create a much more tailored Ginger theme.
Firstly, i take NO credit for making the images for these themes. The main base was from ZeuBug's GingerBlue theme, and i then added stuff from scheichuwe's BlueBread, and then Antonda's Ginger theme, and last but not least R64's Theme, I also used images from vukandrics VA GREEN NSC / VA GREEN v3.
NOTE: This version ONLY consists of the AOSP Lockscreen now consists of 4 Lockscreens!

Thanks mate gotta say man you started all this theme hype , one thing i gotta do next is theme the top bar of, for example the Phone app, where it says 'Keypad, Logs' etc.

I'm not going to theme the topbars. I build my theme to fit with the light blue. I have done it for a theme I made for a users who wanted to use it for his rom in the captivate forum. Remember that al lot of the samsung apps use files from twframework-res. For example the top tab bar you want to theme is also controlled by twframework-res.

Ah i see, thanks for the information, i'm going to look into editing them and making them a bit more gingery to match the theme.

Few bits to point out\recommend:
- Lockscreen seems to lag a bit when you swipe the unlock toggle across
- Anyway you could allow the lockscreen wallpaper to be amended by the user?
- Track info for music player in notifications bar is too dark against the background (tested on MIUI and MixZing)
Other than that it's pretty much the theme I have been looking for since I got the phone! Simplistic, black on white and tidy...perfect!

Thanks for this MAMBO04, But to be perfectly honest, I am happy with Darky's Gingerbread theme for I like the Green, Orange and Black Scheme.
But enough said, can you please upload a picture of the "Gingerbread Themed WP7 Keyboard" for I am interested in finding a WP7 port to android and if you would be so kind but to upload some kind of update.zip file of the WP7 keyboard

If you just booted after the flash theme it can feel a bit laggy, should go away after a few min.
And for MIUI music I made a mod to show white text which you are welcome to use. If you are on darky's roms you can flash this with cwm. If you are on another rom you could try to install the apk inside the normal way

Yeah sure, but it's not what you think it is i'm afraid, it's a themed Gingerbread Keyboard made to look like a WP7 Keyboard. There are no ports for now, but as soon as one pops up you'll see it
I'll post the link to the main Keyboard thread where i got it from, you can get any version from there and screenies are also present.

Thank you for your feedback as R64 stated, if you installed a fresh ROM it will lag a bit, and yes that can be done, i'll add the new Gallery3D in for you. Thanks R64 for the information!

I only like the looks of the WP7 keyboard anyways So that doesn't worry me, is there by any chance you came across a WP7 skinned swype keyboard?

I'm not entirely sure of such a Swype, but you can check this thread out for Metamorph Swype themes, i think there's a WP7 type one in there.

It only a modded MIUi player. It does nothing to the theme. You can use it on any rom or theme.
The reasson I mentioned darkyy is his rom has this app in /system. You can't normally delete system apps. And overwriting it with a modded version fails so when on darky rom you'll have to use the zip. On any other rom you can use the zip but you should also be able to extract the apk and install it the normal way.
And MAMBO04 you can use this modded version of you want for your themed app set.

Very nice theme. Well done mate. But can you please make this theme with samsung lockscreen (glass)? I prefer samsung lockscreen as it is more elegant, simple and usefull. Please it would be great if you could do it.

Introduction
Hello everybody! My name is Nitroz. I am a themer for TeamKang, thanks to Roman for letting me in You will be seeing alot more content from me and in the AOKP ROM. Some of you may know me from the Galaxy SII forum (Here), I sort of got my "fame" for porting the Black Android Theme by Pele. The theme got about 60,000 downloads and 100,000 page views and counting! But I decided to move onto an AOSP phone and start creating my own themes since I have gained the experience to do so. So welcome! If you're looking for a Black, Minimalistic theme for your Galaxy Nexus then this is the thread for you.
What is Black Exodus?
Well, when I first got my Galaxy Nexus one thing stood out to me which I didn't like. The color scheme of Ice Cream Sandwich. Its a very dull Blue color which I didn't tend to like for the most part, plus the dialer backgrounds were, in a way, fugly. So I decided to take on the task of making the style as minimalistic as possible with a nice Black & White design instead of Blue. This is what Black Exodus is, a nice, Black & White simplistic color scheme. Maintaining the ICS look, but with a White color instead of Blue.
Why Are You Moving to the Theme Chooser?
As most of you know, the other day via Twitter, Roman and Kejar announced that they have managed to get the theme engine from CM9 working on their ROM's (Gummy and AOKP) I've been working closely with Roman and AdamTheCashew and testing Black Exodus for the theme engine and turns out it works! So no more CWM Flashable ZIPS (Unless you want the inverted apps).
Why Are There No Inverted GApps?
Since I am very new to the CM Theme Engine and had to work it all out for myself, I haven't got round to including the inverted GApps (If its at all possible). I'm more concentrated on theming as many system apps as possible whilst maintaining a small APK size
Installation Instructions
-Download the BlackExodus from the Market links provided
-Depending on which ROM you're using, go to Settings>Themes (This is for CM9)
-Apply Black Exodus (There's no preview yet)
-Hit Apply Anyway
-Reboot for the navbar to theme properly
-You've been Exodus'd!

Power menu is themed if you're on a new CM9 build. Or (I would assume) on an AOKP build based on b36.

Good to know that it is working , actually I have modded only the images in the apps and nothing in the system so if you guys give it a try after backing up it won't do any harm ..
As soon as you try and you find its working fine or not working fine , please share your feedback it will help me make the theme compatible.

Yes, confirmed for FreeGS3_R5. I didn't have a boot loop, I've been using for almost a day now and I haven't encounter a single FC's that could relate to the theme. I like how the weather widget is themed.
I saw Red has just released R6, I am going to give it a try and report back.

I am glad you will port this theme for us. Thank you! it looks fantastic so far. During the flash process I noticed several icons did not get morphed successfully because it couldn't find it. Therefore several app icons (i.e. the market and the browser) remain unchanged. Beside that minor issue, everything else seem to work fine, even the widgets, the contact and the phone app look great as your screenies. I am looking to forward to seeing this theme fully working. Thansk again for your contribution.
I look quickly at FreeGS3 ROM zip folder structure and it looks like the developer moves some apps from the system to the data folder and I believe that's why during the morph process it could not find the apps in question for theming. I don't know nothing about development but it's just a guess...

Wow, now stupid question, now my IM's are talking, can someone tell me where this is coming from, I use Handcent, and there are no speech settings that I saw....weird, koooool.

I tried messing flashing Anastasia V2 theme but not all the icons morphed, I sent this info to the OP of this theme, asked him to download FreeGSM Release 6 by Team Sonic and uoY RedruM and port it to that ROM...APK's have probably been moved in different locations than your current stock ROM
examples that did not morph - Gmail, Google +, Internet, YouTube, SecCalender
Was hoping you could morph Facebook, Twitter, Root Explorer, ESPN, Sports Tap, Yahoo Fantasy Football 12, Southwest Airlines, Flight Track, Camera ZOOM

Real Blue Theme for ViperOne Rom is a Heavily modified version of the "Real Icons" theme which was originally created by jbeitel and then it was ported to the HTC One by Krocko and I have been working on for about 3 to 4 weeks now and its finally ready. Other themers such as Basil3, who created the Real Icons status bar theme and killerb777, who created the Real Icons sense icon pack, were all inspired by the original "Real Icons" theme. I really loved the look of the realistic icons on my One so I wanted to make my own version of the Real Icons theme with blue as the base color of the theme and it also includes modified versions of all the Real Icon themed variants, all which have been modified by myself. I use to make themes for my old phones like the HTC Desire HD, the HTC Amaze and the Google Nexus. I really miss making themes so I decided to give it a shot again. This theme started off for personal use at first but then I figured that I might as well share it with the community that always gives me so much. So here it is and I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I did while making it!!!​

Real Blue v2.2 will have 2 files this time but you will only need one of them depending on your setup, the first file which is the normal full theme zip which you would install on a fresh copy of ViperOne v5.5.1, and the second file is ONLY for the people that have already installed the last version of the theme(v2.1) onto ViperOne v5.5.1, this "update" file contains only the 3 files that where changed in the v5.5.1 Rom update that are in Real Blue theme, so only use the "update" file if you have already installed Real Blue v2.1 onto ViperOne v5.5.1...

Having problems with the overlay colors on your notification pull down? Here is what you must do to fix them:
First, change the "Header Buttons" which is at the bottom of "Header Bar" on the Colors tab to #00000000 for the icons in the top right corner of the pull down to show the way they are supposed to. Second, make sure that you have "Overlay - On" and "Overlay - Off" found under "Native EQS", both set to #00000000 for the icons on the quick settings screen of the pull down to show properly. Lastly, you can set "Action Button" to any color that you wish, but just make*sure*that you set the alpha on it so that you can still see the icon through the color when you press it... Instructions for Installing Real Blue Theme for ViperOne Rom​Tutorial originally created by:*ghostryder12*and can be found Here on page #31 of this thread.
Quick Settings Pull Down:
To get the icons correctly on the Quick Settings Pull Down, you just need to set the Overlay on and the Overlay off color to #00000000 (tweaks -> color -> native eqs - overlay Color)*

Icons in the Upper Right Corner of the Pull Down Screens:

If you are still having display issues after setting all color codes, it is most likely cause by having another theme/mod installed before installing Real Blue Theme. It is most likely a leftover file somewhere deep and hard to find. You will have to dirty flash the rom to get everything related to the past theme deleted and ready to reflash the Real Blue Theme.
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST​
Reboot into recovery, then select install. Select the ViperOne ROM you are currently using to flash. Tic the “agree with terms” box>Next>Next. Select Install ViperOne. Tic Install without wiping>Next. Tic Keep Existing Tweaks>Next. Tic Viper Boot. Select Next and tic your Custom Carrier Tweaks>Next. Now you are ready to flash the ROM. Once done with flashing the ROM, you MUST make the initial boot up of the rom before flashing the theme, it take a few minutes but not to worry because this is normal. Once you are booted up, you can reboot back into recovery and install the Real Blue theme..
EDIT: If you are using a custom kernel like ElementalX or Bulletproof for example, you will need to re-flash the kernel as well. If you are on the ViperOne ROM using the stock kernel, you are good to go.

A year ago I begged the themers to create something like that for the HTC OneS.
Today I like the flat sense 5 style more though.

all others are ok exept blin...is to dark.

the charge animation is working just fine on my end. are you sure you selected the right battery that comes with my theme? because if you did then it is the exact same version that is on the Venom Hub and again it is working just fine here and with the guys that tested the theme... Also I have already mentioned in the thread that I will fix Blinkfeed soon, so you don't have to remind me on what someone has already told me. Thanks

yes I think so by removing this file from the zip "Real_Blue_v1.0_For_ViperOne_v4.2.0.zip\system\framework\HTCCommonctrl.jar". But I am not 100% sure.... I don't normally use blinkfeed myself so I never noticed that it was dark like that, I will have a fix up soon.

Do you have that too?

Hi really nice theme. Great work.
Just a Couple of small things the colour for the phone number in phone book is real light and difficult to see. Also any chance you could theme the quick settings in the side bar with the real icons?????

yes and everyone will, it is a by product of using VRThemeing, to remove it del the folder on your sd card called "/sdcard/vrtheme/" and it will be gone, in the next update i will make sure that this folder is deleted before the phone reboots
v1.1 is now in the second post, the only change in it from v1.0 is that Blinkfeed and other apps that had a really dark background and dark text are now fixed... if you already have v1.0 installed then you must install the temp fix file to fix your problems, and it is in the post above or in the second post under Fixes.
