Are we going to get a note 3 features ROM? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I was just reading aRedmond pie article and saw their are roms in which you can get note 3 features and was wondering are we going to be able to get one anytime soon. Read the thread but only compatible with n7100. I would have loved to try it out.

Yes we will. As soon as we get a 4.3 leak that works for us. The n7100 had such a leak and that's why they have the features. By the way there are several threads on this already so you may want to search for them and follow them so you'll know what's happening and when we got our leak

Unfortunately it says the the report wasn't confirmed by Samsung, and it also says that its still gonna have to go through the carriers... dunno how att is because I'm new but I know vzw is a huge Hassel when it comes to pushing through any upgrades. Hopefully the code Samsung wrote form its handset gets leaked though because then we will have the capability to flash it without waiting for carrier approval.

Despite the fact that it's not really official (no Samsung confirmation) it's still good news. I doubt this would be an invented news, there's gotta be some truth behind it... now as for the carriers' part in this, that's another matter!
I'm waiting for two things, first, the inevitable leaks, and second, the kernel sauce.

Yes but not for touchwiz'd jellybean and it's kernel source(when developed)

Hopefully we'll see an AT&T leak in the coming weeks, as I don't really think anyone here wants to wait for them to actually approve anything..

My theory is that the Jelly Bean leak since is actually a Sammy leak and is still being worked on by Tmobile and AT&T uses the almost the same kernel both d2 the devices. The new jelly bean leak has LTE settings in it meaning that you can set AT&T LTE/PTA APN settings and use 4G LTE in theory. Their are risk because the leak contains a new baseband, you can always reflash back to an older baseband though so this is not the biggest deal. The update does not include a new bootloader so no worries their. And you can always flash back to ICS. In my mind this may be worth fixing up a few files to see if it works. I'm going to give a try. I'll report back.
Looking forward to what you uncover drew

I'll take a look - I think it can be ported without a hitch to i747.

The system and everthing seems to copy over fine, it's the kernel that's giving me trouble right now. I'm going to work on it some more and see what I can find out, but by that time I'm sure an AT&T version will be out.
I'm still working on it and will continue.
What about using ktoon's or faux' JB kernel in the meantime?

[Q] Multi Tasking?

Does anyone here know when AT&T will update the Note 2 so that we can use the multi-tasking function like all the other carriers? I have read that it will come out with an OTA update, but is there any other way to do this without the OTA? I am stock and not rooted, yet! Thanks ahead of time!

You would have to wait for the OTA or you can root and install a custom rom with multi-tasking.

This has been answers several times.
No date on the OTA.
There are several roms that have it.
Flash away, it's better than waiting on carriers to update.

Ya, I searched for this topic a bunch of times and didn't see it anywhere in the AT&T SGNII forum so I thought I'd ask. Which Rom that has it is the most stable and mostly bug free?

[Q] Will the American Revolution HD rom work on my T-Mobile T889???

The description says that you have to have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100, just wondering if it works for my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T889. Im going to attempt to root my phone for the first time (or for ANY phone EVER for that matter) and would like to try this one out since it's the closest to the stock phone. Also, I seen alot of roms don't support the s-pen or true multitasking so this would help tremendously.

No it won't work for the T899. If you're looking for something close to stock, try Jedi Master which includes wifi-calling. If not having wifi-calling isn't a problem then I suggest Jedi X. Best way to find out what is best for you though it's to flash ROMs and try it out

[ROM][4.3] OmniROM [PRE-ALPHA][UNOFFICIAL]

This is the pre-alpha thread of OmniROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (l900). More information can be found here.
This build is very bare bones at the moment. Don't let flashing this now turn you down from trying it again in the future, a lot of changes are coming soon. I would still consider this much more of a tester than a daily driver unless bare bones is your style. The rom is very smooth and fast though probably for that very same reason.
Source:
https://github.com/omnirom
https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/q/status:open,n,z
https://github.com/omnirom-slickrick
What doesn't work:
You tell me!
Installation method:
Wipe all if coming from another rom
Flash OmniROM
Flash GApps
Reboot
This rom does not come with root by default. Flash SuperSU in recovery if you want root!
Flash at your own risk! No one else is responsible if your device bursts into flames
To try out multiwindow, go to recents and long press an app. Click add to split view and repeat to add another app. Keep in mind its still buggy at the moment
Have fun and enjoy!
First
And I just flashed this. Liking it so far. I have been on TW for a while. May have to switch.

You can always use the xposted framework to add that back.
And the rom is cool right now but pretty lacking in settings.
Will this be moving to the development thread? Where should we watch for updates and report bugs?

How do you flash an AT&T rom on a sprint phone? I'm assuming there are differences between the same rom on different devices
Just found this ROM and I'm going to try it out but I wanted to ask if it's still being develop on.
What it do Slick Rick going try this I've seen other omni roms well into development not asking for an update just curious of the progression of the rom. So far so good looking forward to more to come.
