I tried many times to root the phone, unfortunately i couldn't.
Special thanks to user destroyedbeauty, he adviced my ( in PM ) step by step how to do it, but still no success.I followed the steps very careful.
When i tried to root, i didn't check USB Debugging & Unknown Sources.
Should i ?
Is there a way to install apps which require root, on the phone with no root ?
Below are the steps i tried to root the phone, adviced by the mentioned user.
I rather recommend that you install an kernel with pre-configed root access (Doomkernel / Advanced Stock kernel / XzK-kernel) by using built-in Fastboot in Flashtool. By doing this method, do this!!!:
1) Download kernel ZIP from specific kernel thread in "Xperia Z (Original) Android Development" thread section. Take anyone of these below, I also link Advanced Stock Kernel if you want complete stock Sony kernel with added init.d / root / recovery add-on / built-in!;
a) Xz-Gaming v1.0
b) XzK-Kernel v11.0
c) Doomkernel v19
d) AdvancedStockkernel
OBS!! Choice latest kernel from list in each thread for getting latest kernel that is optimized and made for your installed FW. Otherwise, problems can occur..
2) Extract boot.img from downloaded ZIP and put boot-file in Flashtool > Firmwares. After this, copy the same zip to your phone external / internal-SD card. Leave it there and continue read..
3) Turn off your phone and hold volume up, then connect phone to USB-cable. Keep an eye on LED notify lamp, see if it blinking blue - then you're connected in fastboot mode between phone and PC!
4) Open up Flashtool and push on the "Bolt-Button". Select fastboot, then go to firmware subfolder in your Flashtool folder on HDD and select extracted boot.img. Read log in flashtool, read it carefully. If everything seems to be normal, disconnect your phone and boot it up.
5) Go into recovery mode by either hammering volume up / volume down button and then choice "Install ZIP" option. Search after your ZIP file in recovery that contains boot.img and wifi-specific modules (critical for getting working WIF / Bluetooth!!).
6) After completed flashing, wipe cache and Dalvik cache (Dalvik can be found under Advanced section in recovery).
7) Reboot and voilá! Enjoy your custom kernel!
I only tried with "AdvancedStockkernel"
After step 4, the display stays black, nothing happent, no boot, no Sony logo, nothing.
I want to mention one more think : when i unlocked the bootloader 2 days ago, i followed this link :
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
It was successful. On the next step I was asked to write my email / imei / etc !!! Everything went ok.
After that, i tried to root and something went wrong, so i flashed whole .67 FTF in flashmode, again. Now is stock
Is the bootloader still unlocked, after i flashed .67 ftf in flashmode ? Could that be the reason i can't root the phone ?
Should i try again to unlock the bootloader, before i start again to root ?
Please help me guys.
Thank you

Hi,
I am currently using CM9 on my Xperia ARC, there are certain bugs which disallow me to use my Video camera and there are some WiFi issues too. Since the official ICS update is already out for the Xperia Arc, I wanted to rollback to the stock OS.
Can someone please guide me through the entire process or even point out to a post on this forum that will help me in doing so.
I went across many suggested post but there were none for the Xperia ARC.
Thank You.
This is the latest framework for xperia ARC " NOT ARC S "
http://www.mediafire.com/?rtoaz2tc6c7bsjc
simply .. download , extract , flash through flashtool .. It contains baseband , kernel and ROM, all in one =)
BTW , It's not Rooted since It's the latest Official framework
Use the Search button for the Root ..
regards ..
I think the user above means firmware, not framework.
Anyway it's easy, just use Flashtool and official FTF file. As you said you were running CM9 you must already have an unlocked bootloader. These steps are for unlocked bootloader phone and this is how I did it on my Xarc.
Go to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330314
and download official LT15i 4.1.B.0.431 Generic Global World (big bold letters, you can't miss it in post #1)
Unrar this file to get the official Sony 4.0.4 FTF.
Then go to:
http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
Click the tab that says "Installation".
(I assume you are running MS Windows)
Download Full Install, Windows Edition - v0.8.0.0
Download Updates, Windows Edition - v0.8.5.0
On your computer run installer v0.8.0.0 first, then run v0.8.5.0 to make it the latest version of Flashtool. Flashtool by default installs to c:\flashtool and doesn't create a shortcut in start menu, so you will have to find it with file explorer (My Computer).
Power off phone. Do not connect data cable yet!
Run Flashtool.
Drag the FTF file onto the Flashtool window.
In the window that appears, leave everything as is, but tick "No final verification" in the bottom right corner.
Click "OK" and wait a few seconds.
When the message appears, hold down the back button on your phone and insert the data cable.
Notification LED should turn green and Flashtool begins flashing the firmware.
Wait until flashing is complete. Flashtool will say "Ending flash session" and say something about phone rebooting when it is finished. Wait about a minute after these messages appear and you can then unplug the data cable.
Now for Clockworkmod:
Go to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680793
and download LT15i Arc v2 from first post.
This is the stock kernel with CWM added.
With phone powered off, hold down menu button and insert data cable. Notification LED should turn blue.
Run Flashtool. Flashtool should say "Device connected in fastboot mode"
Click the button in Flashtool which looks like a lightning bolt (the button furthest to the left.) Tick "Fastboot mode" and click OK.
On right side "Select Kernel to flash", find the kernel with CWM you just downloaded and "Open" it.
Kernel flashes in just a few seconds.
You can now unplug data cable and start up the phone. You can give a quick run through the start up settings, language selection etc. before we root. (The only real reason I said to start up the phone is to make it easier to transfer the Superuser install zip to your sdcard from Windows.)
Now root:
Go to:
http://androidsu.com/superuser/
and download Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
from the Eclair/Froyo/Gingerbread/Honeycomb/IceCreamSandwich (2.1 – 4.0.3) section.
In the settings menu of your phone: Menu > Settings > Xperia > Connectivity > USB coonection mode: Choose Mass storage mode (MSC)
Connect the data cable.
When your sdcard appears as a drive in Windows, copy the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip file onto it.
Unplug data cable and power off your phone.
It's important to watch the notification LED for the next bit!
With phone off press the power button as normal when turning on.
Once the Sony logo appears, watch the LED.
When LED turns blue start pressing the Menu button. You have less than 3 seconds to do this!
This takes you into the Clockworkmod recovery.
Use volume up/down move up and down. To confirm use Home button.
Select "Install zip from sdcard" > "Choose zip from sdcard" >
Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip > Yes - Install Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
Once the install completes you can go back and "reboot system now"
Your phone should now be rooted.
Good luck.

Yes, with a few small changes I believe this should sort you out. As you are using Arconium MiUi I take it that you have unlocked bootloader.
I used this method on my own Xarc to downgrade to GB after testing out some of the first ICS roms in April, so I know this works.
The FTF file you need will be LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic Global World which is the latest official GB 2.3.4 from Sony. (Note, this particular version can only be rooted on an unlocked bootloader.)
IMPORTANT: Never downgrade arc to a version of GB older than 2.3.4, because you will get the 0% battery problem which can not be repaired. The safe FTF files are LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.42 or LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.62 which are both GB 2.3.4 .
The main change is when it comes to the Superuser/root and CWM steps.
I would do it in this sequence:
1. Flash the GB FTF
2. Boot up the Gingerbread and copy the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip to the sdcard from Windows. (You can of course also put Superuser on the sdcard at the start if you wish. I just like to see that the unrooted firmware is working okay before I make any changes to the system files.)
3. Instead of flashing a kernel to the phone, I use Flashtool to "hotboot" a kernel with CWM recovery.
4. I use CWM of "hotboot" kernel to install the Superuser/root the phone.
In greater detail:
1. Get LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic Global World from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18997655&postcount=1
Flashing this FTF is same steps as for the ICS in previous post.
2. This part is straightforward, just get the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip on to the sdcard.
3. From http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18997655&postcount=1 scroll down to heading "[Tutorial]Root with recoveryLT15i". Download the file "Recovery.rar" from that section.
Extract the file recoveryARC.img from the RAR file.
Although the RAR also contains instructions for using commands to hotboot, I personally think the easiest way is to use Flashtool.
So we want to hotboot "recoveryARC.img" :
Start Flashtool.
With phone powered off, hold down Menu button and insert data cable.
Notification LED should turn blue.
Flashtool should now say: "Device connected in fastboot mode"
Click the button in Flashtool which looks like a lightning bolt (the button furthest to the left.) Tick "Fastboot mode" and click OK.
On left side "Select Kernel to Hotboot", find "recoveryARC.img" you just extracted and "Open" it.
Wait a minute while phone starts up. You do not need to press anything, it goes directly into Clockworkmod recovery.
Now you can proceed to root the phone from CWM.
4. The only difference is that in this version of CWM you must use power button to confirm your selections rather than Home button. Otherwise rooting GB from CWM is same steps as ICS in my previous post.
Disconnect data cable and reboot. Gingerbread should now be rooted.
Good luck!
Thanks a lot mate..It really worked. Now I am back on GB with Internal space problem solved.
Your detailed post really helped..Now I can go for any GB custom ROM..

RxHy

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/198483#198483 . A well-explained thread, and assuming you dont want/(haven't yet) to root your your phone(since u recently bought it),you can use this.Or else a better option would be rooting it and using a custom gb rom, since it gives you a much better experience.Use the search for rooting or other info.
Simple guide:
1.- Download flashtool. In the folder you install it you will find drivers folder. Run the program and install drivers for your device (if they aren''t installed yet)
2.- Download any 2.3.4 GB firmware, I would recommend you 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware. 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware for ARC S // 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware for ARC. Introduce that firmware you downloaded in the folder firmwares (inside the flashtool directory)
3.- Turn down your phone. In flashtool, press the thunderbolt symbol, and press flashmode. Then, a list will appear. You must select the 4.0.A.0.62 fw you downloaded (and inserted in Flashtool/firmwares). When the PC is ready, will ask u to connect the phone in flashmode. Press back key and then connect the phone to the computer. A green light will appear in ur led. When finished, take the phone and reboot, you will have Gingerbread 2.3.4 in stead of ICS 4.0.4
Hope I helped u!

It does sound like a safe file.
Install the drivers from Flashtool folder 'drivers' (by default C:\Flashtool\drivers).

[ How to Unlock ] (Official Way)
Video Link ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRH3pC7MhEA
For better understanding, I highly recommend you to watch the above video along with the instructions below:
1.) Download ‘Fastboot Drivers And Pacakges File For Xperia S’ file from → Here
2.) Extract the file you downloaded above on your PC. You’ll get the following three files:
drivers.zip
fastboot_with_Android_USB_file.zip
3.) Go to: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ and read everything!
This will open a web page in your default browser. Scroll to the bottom of the Instructions on the page and you’ll see a link like “Continue”, click on it.
In the pop-up window click “Yes, I’m sure” and then in the next window click on both the checkboxes, and then click “I accept”.
4.) Now insert the details as per the instructions:
First 14 digits of your IMEI No. Do NOT enter the last digit (15th) in the box. To know your IMEI No. dial *#06# on your Xperia Arc.
Your Name
Your Email Address
Click Submit.
5.) You’ll get a KEY to unlock boot loader. Write it down somewhere you can remember, it will be used later.
6.) Switch off your phone.
7.) Now extract the “fastboot_with_Android_USB_file.zip” file you got in Step 2.2.
8.) Pick up your phone (it must be switched off) and hold the “Menu” button (the key at the bottom right of your phone), now while holding the “Menu” button connect your phone to your PC with an USB cable.
9.) Once connected — the LED light near the phone’s USB plug will turn blue. If it doesn’t — repeat the Step 8.
10.) Now to install the drivers do the following:
Extract the “drivers.zip” file you got in Step 2.1
Open “Device Manager” on your PC and look for “S1Boot Fastboot” under the head “Other devices”
Right-click on “S1Boot Fastboot” and select “Update Driver Software…”
Now select “Browse my computer for driver software” and select the folder where you’ve extracted all the three files you got in Step 2. Once done — click Ok.
Now click Next (Make sure you’ve ticked the “Include subfolders” checkbox).
If you see any Windows security warning box, don’t worry . Just select “Install this driver software anyway”
Wait for “Windows has successfully updated your driver software” message to appear on your screen. Now click Close.
11.) Open the “fastboot” folder from the file we extracted in Step 7.
12.) Now hold Shift and press mouse right click (Shift + Mouse Right Click) anywhere on the empty white space inside the “fastboot” folder. And then select “Open command window here” from the context menu.
13.) Now in the command prompt window type/paste the following:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version
14.) It should return a value like “0.3”. This ensures that your device is correctly connected.
15.) Now type/paste the following line in the command prompt window:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY
IMPORTANT! Replace the word “KEY” from the above line with the KEY that you received in Step 5. Then Hit Enter.
Click to collapse
16.) Now wait for the process to complete. Command prompt will show a “Finished” message when it will be completed.
17.)Once it’s done, disconnect the USB cable from your phone and switch it ON.
18.)Your phone’s boot loader should now be Unlocked.
(The above videos and some steps are for Xperia 2011 devices, but most the steps are same for Xperia S/P/U/Sola)

Troubleshooting
If you experience a bootloop (phone constantly reboots and reboots on the boot screen) or a soft brick (powering on the phone shows an orange triangle with a phone and computer), don’t be afraid. XDA to the rescue!
For a bootloop:
Hold The Power Button And Volume Up Button
If You Hold For 3 Seconds = Soft Reset = 1 Viberation
If You Hold For 10 Seconds = Hard Reset = 3 Viberations***
Power on the Phone Again, Keep pressing Volume Up Button
Your phone will boot into recovery.
Select “Wipe data/ Factory reset”. (Volume Up for going up and Volume down to go down)
After the reset is done, select “Reboot system now”.
The phone will reboot and you should be all fine.
***Do Not Try Hard Reset Untill And Unless The Phone is Facing Major Problems,
For a soft brick:
You probably flashed some faulty firmware or firmware not meant for your device.
The File You Downloaded Must Be Incomplete.
Download the correct firmware and flash again.

Hi, I searched a lot for the way to flash a custom rom on my Xperia S. But now halfway through, I've got a problem. My device says it does not allow to unlock bootloader, so does that mean that there is no way I can flash a custom rom on my phone? :crying:

You can use only Stock based ROM for locked bootloaders, not the unlocked bootloaders one.

You cannot flash .zip files using flashtool. You can flash only Firmwares or kernel files using flashtool.

Which recovery are You using? The 2.8.1.0? It doesn't work with Xperia S. Use the 2.8.0.1 version.

Wait i will let you know the complete story.
so what happened is
first i was on CM11 for few mnths then switched to MIUIv5 for 1 month. everything was working fine
but when day before yesterday i flashed PA rom i am not able to access the recovery now (previously there was TWRP in my XS). now i can't flash any zip file
when i reboot to recovery it gets stuck on black blank screen. Even the recovery apps like twrp are not working. when i tried to install recovery through app, the app crashes.
As recovery is not working i cant even switch to other roms or any zip file.
i am totally stuck on this ROM
i asked this que on sony mobile group on FB (created by some sony fans), one of the member said "probably this is not ROM fault but the kernel fault. consider trying new kernel"

If You are on Beta 6 of PA, it doesn't have twrp or cwm. Flash the twrp v2.8.0.1 by terminal emulator method.

Ah yes, even that one doesn't have recovery.
Unlocked bootloader is must.
You need an Android app. You can find the app here. Also, here is the page of the twrp.
What You need to do is, download the twrp from here. Rename it to fotakernel.img .
Then copy it to Your sdcard.
Then run the following commands on the terminal emulator app:
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/fotakernel.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11

Hello guys, i have a xperia ZQ C6503 Brazil, i want to unlock the bootloader , install a recovery and a stable cyanogen mod , but the cyanogen installer shows the device is not supported ( they are not equal the ZL ? ) , i want a correct step-by-step for this things i want, i am confused with tons of topics with differents things..
So i want a how-to Unlocka bootloader, install a custom recovery, how to root, and how to install the cyanogen mod without the windows installer if possible. thanks.
ZQ it's exactly the same of ZL, I don't know why Brasil changed the name, I have a ZQ and installed the cyanogenmod 11 for ZL and everything works, don't worry about that. I can see you're a little insecure, so I suggest READING MORE TOPICS. And make sure that you're installing everything for xperia ZL (ODIN) and not for the Z (yuga) or Z1.
First: read this .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201148 READ EVERYTHING, DOOMLORD IT'S THE MAN !
AFTER READING DOOMLORD'S TOPIC: IF it's not clear, you can read http://techglen.com/2013/11/28/install-android-4-4-kitkat-on-xperia-zl-with-cm-11/# and http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_odin
Suggestion: Use flashtools to install the custom kernel (connect the phone in fastboot mode, click on the lightning, choose fastboot mode and choose install/flash custom kernel) it's way easier than using terminal.
After installing adb drivers, sony drivers, fastboot drivers, and etc ...
1) unlock bootloader
2) download the last cm11 nightly and google apps for android 4.4.2 (search on the cyanogen site)
3) on the phone: put the .zip on the root of sdcard ........... on the pc: extract the .zip on desktop (you're just gonna use boot.img)
4) shutdown the phone, plug the cable on the phone pressing VOLUME UP ( + ) , a blue led should appear
5) open flashtools, click on the lightning and choose fastboot mode, after choose install/flash custom kernel and choose the boot.img that you placed in the desktop
6) Unplug the cable and reboot the phone (or it'll reboot by itself) WHEN SONY LOGO APPEARS (A PINK LED WILL APPEAR, this is the phone telling you that you can press volume up (+) to open recovery), so, when the pink led appear push the volume up (+)
7) Now you're in clockworkmode recovery, wipe cache/data/dalvik, flash the rom, flash the gapps, flash the supersu.zip(if you want it rooted)
8) Reboot (it may take a while, up to 5 minutes)
9) Have fun

God bless u, haha thanks a lot dude, i will read all these stuff and try to install de cyanogen thanks !
I have made this thread as a desperate attempt to minimize questions such as the one that follows. I have seen these questions clog up development threads and the responses are usually short and the user if extremely new to android, gets lost.
In making this guide, I have chosen to use the custom rom: CM-10 for Locked Bootloaders Rom shared by @optimumpro
I chose this rom due to the simple fact that the question was based from that thread AND because I myself use this rom.

The instructions as given are
1. Have JB latest Stock Kernel, Roger's Baseband in case of LT28i, Root and Recovery
2. Format System/Data/Cache in TWRP or Mount and Format the same in CWM
3. Install the ROM and Reboot. Nothing else is needed
here is the general breakdown if you are moving from Stock on XPERIA ION to in this example, the CM 10 rom for locked bootloaders.
------If from ICS, follow from step 1
------If from JB, follow from 1a
1)
1a)----Flash----
-You need flashtool (http://www.flashtool.net/index.php)
-You need the firmware (http://forum.xda-
developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752345)
You need to download the JB for Generic International Firmwares - LT28h and if you wish to have LTE for AT&T devices then
you must also download the latest JB for rogers (Rogers Stock Firmwares - LT28i)
First, Flash the Generic Ftf
(optional) For LTE, flash the Rogers Firmware with EVERYTHING excluded except for baseband
1b)----Root----
There are a few methods but personally I use:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Download the current version (happens to be v33 at the moment)
-Connect phone to computer with Android Debugging Enabled with Unknown Sources
-Run the required File and follow the instructions in the Command Prompt Window
--It will complete the required steps and upon reboot, you will have root access.
-Install Busybox after root
1c)----Recovery----
-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30149181#poststop
--Download RECOVERY for XperiaIon v.4.zip
-Connect phone with same requirements for root
--extract and run the .bat file->done
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SPECIFIC ROM YOU WANT ALREADY ON YOUR INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL SD CARD BEFORE CONTINUING you have been warned
2) CWM MENU SELECTION
-Upon Reboot a BLUE LED should appear, immediately hold the volume DOWN key, CWM menu should appear
--Scroll using the volume and select using the power key--
-Go to Storage and as instructed by the CM 10 Rom I specified, wipe System/Data/Cache
For more information on the CWM menu breakdown visit:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...neral/ref-cwm-clockworkmode-menu-options-t1542857
------OPTIONAL BACKUP------
-If you would like to make a backup of your current rom, go to option 4 the Nandroid menu and select the Backup Option
3) INSTALL
Then go back to main menu, to go the INSTALL MENU
and select choose zip from (external/interenal (depends on where you stored the zip))
-navigate to zip location-> select-> yes-> install
-----wait patiently-----
Reboot
Done
I think you should talk about making data backup too. For a newbie, he may never know that he should first have a back up and how to go about it.

Q&A for [Guide] [XAS] Xperia Unlocking bootloader, flashing ROMs/kernels (BPaul's 5.1.1)
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [Guide] [XAS] Xperia Unlocking bootloader, flashing ROMs/kernels (BPaul's 5.1.1). If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Very cool explanation

This is a guide for XPERIA ACRO S (other xperia users can also reffer needed information)
[Below procedure looks lendy, but you'll just need max 30 minutes if you have every downloaded file.]
I make this guide for noobs as there weren't such guide (even for my first time of flashing ROM I didn't get any such guide, so I decided to make one)
This Guide is especially for flashing BPaul's 5.1.1 ROM
So here Iam giving detail process to install Bpauls 5.1.1 with every links needed.
we are going to take below steps;
1. unlocking bootloader
2. flashing kernel with recoveries
3. backing up stock rom
4. installing bpauls 5.1.1
Special Thanks;
@BPaul (for awesome ROM)
@cobrato (for stock kernel)
@jajb (for gapps)
NOTE: I'AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DAMAGED YOUR PHONE BY CROSS FLASHING OTHER ROMS,KERNELS ETC.
BELOW PROCESS IS SUCCESSFULLY CARRIED ON XPERIA ACRO S. AS NOOBS CAN MAKE MANY MISTAKES
I'AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DAMAGE. -DO AT YOUR OWN RISK-
-Here we START-
*_UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER_*
(unlocking bootloader will erase everything on your phone, i suggest you to take backup of your data)
First of all you need to take unlocking code from official sony website (link below)
http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/
after clicking on above link, on the page just scroll down
1.select your device
2.provide your imei
3.you'll get unlock code (save it properly)
Next you need to download minimal adb and fastboot (link below)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1S0LCuXCnnmOWhnUk1ZWVdQakE/view?pli=1
install it to your computer.
Now we have to connect phone in fastboot mode, follow below steps
1.Turn on usb debugging mode.
(setting > developer option > usb debugging)
2.Turn Off your Xperia Acro S
3.Press and Hold volume up button and then connect usb to computer.
(If you see Blue LED of phone, then everything is going right)
(Let your computer install essential fastboot drivers)
Now open minimal adb and fastboot (we installed previosly)
Type below command
-fastboot devices
-fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x(your unlock code without this brackets)
-fastboot reboot
DONE
(Now you have successfully unlocked your bootloader)
*_FLASHING KERNEL WITH RECOVERY'S_*
As you have STOCK ROM, you need to flash STOCK KERNEL with recoveries (link below)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309117
-The above kernel cantain CWN as well as TWRP
After opening above link, download respective kernel
Save the above downloaded kernel to fastboot folder on your computer.
-Get into fastboot mode and connect to computer.
(Press and Hold volume up button and then connect usb to computer).
Now open minimal adb and fastboot (we installed previosly)
Type below command
-fastboot devices
-fastboot flash boot kernel_62B196_acroS.elf
-fastboot reboot
DONE
(Now you have successfully flashed kernel with recovery)
*_BACKINGUP STOCK ROM_*
As you have successfully flashed kernel with recoverys, its easy to take a full backup of your system.
To enter into recovery follow below steps
1.To get into CWM reboot your phone, press volume up key for few times when the magneta LED appears.
(To navigate use volume buttons, for selecting use power button)
2.To get into TWRP reboot your phone and tap the screen for few times when the magneta LED appears.
3.Select Backup.
DONE
(Now you have successfully Backedup your ROM)
*_FLASHING ROM BPaul's 5.1.1_*
For Flashing This ROM your phone (Xperia Acro S) needs to be rooted (if your not, use towelroot app, for me it was the easiest way to root my phone)
and USB Debugging in developers option should be enabled.
A] Download ROM BPaul's 5.1.1 (link below)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799765&page=54#post60570826
-Extract the above downloaded ROM to your computer
(you'll see 2img files and 2recoveries)
B] Here you need to download acro s kernel (link below)
http://d-h.st/nJXM
C] Download below minimal GApps for 5.1.1 and copy it to your sdcard/ext_sdcard(link below)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-google-apps-minimal-edition-t2943330
(keep this downloaded kernel to above extracted folder)
Now to flash this rom you need to download FLashtool (link below)
http://d-h.st/Kb8
install the above downloaded Flashtool to your computer.
1.Now to flash recovery open the extracted ROM, and open recovery folder (2recoveries)
2.Pick your Recovery CWM or TWRP (TWRP Recommended) and copy it to internal storage of your phone.
3.Open minimal adb and fastboot
Type below command;
-adb shell
-su
(confirm popup su request from your phone)
-dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 OR dd if=/sdcard/cwm.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11
Now you need to flash 2img files, to do so follow below steps
1.Open Flashtool
2.Click Flash button (Lightning icon, top left)
3.Select Fastboot mode
4.Reboot phone to fastboot (power off phone>push vol up key and connect usb)
5.Now in flashtool select SYSTEM to flash and open system.img (wait for 6 minimum minutes)
6.Now select KERNEL to flash and open boot_07_05_15.img
7.Now select REBOOT DEVICE INTO SYSTEM.
8.Open your respected recovery (CWM or TWRP)
9.Install>your downloaded gapps from sdcard/ext_sdcard
10.Wipe cache + Dalvic cache + Factory reset
11.Reboot
(Optional) : For rooting this ROM, just download SU, save it to your phone and install it manually with recovery. (link below)
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
For the first time it can take a looooong time to boot up. So just don't worry.
DONE
(You have successfully installed BPaul's 5.1.1)

Explain the unique and wonderful brother, thank you
But there is a point I can't understand, come on for
Install the kernel
Put a link to the kernel and you try to access the file to download
They found three links and no! know which is better or more correct for installation
Thank you for all your explanations about the wonderful but if it is possible to make a video for us to install the ROM I was very thankful to you
A point I would like to inquire of the installation steps that I have created on installation after the formal system of the machine or from another custom
And you have to work the manure and how it works
I hope I haven't she disturbed you thanks
Wait for response from you, since I'm a wait to install this ROM
Great job thank you

Dude if you are on stock ROM then navigate to
settings > about phone > build number
(Download specific kernel from that three options that matches your build number and flash it)
About video tutorial,
I recently can't provide it because I'm on poor internet connection.
If you do every step carefully, you'll be done!
Let me know if you have any problem
