I have a problem where if I have my phone plugged in to the charger, after I get a text message my lock screen stays lit up. Is there a way to make it go back off?
It's not rooted and still has the stock T-Mobile ROM.
I kind of think they screwed my phone up at the T-Mobile store when they transferred all my pictures and stuff from my old phone.

For a couple of days now I have had a blank screen on my desire HD. It was working fine then froze and then after I pulled the battery out and put it in again the phone screen has not come on.
When I turn the phone on I feel the vibration when it first turns on and it must work as I can hear message tones and phone calls when they come in but the screen is completely blank.
The led also does not work anymore, if I plug charger in etc no light shows up or if I get a sms it doesnt show up.
Any ideas
I think it is a hardware problem, all you can do is sent your phone to HTC.
well whenever i attempt to power on my phone the little t-mobile animation doesn't show up anymore(still makes the ringing noise though). now the blue led light stays on for a long period of time. i'd have to plug the charger and then take it out to get it to come off. i'm also not able to get into my gallery for some odd reason. i figure this has to be connected to something. any ideas?
I'm guessing you're running on stock. With those issues I would probably restore the whole thing via Odin...start from scratch.
Ever since I reflashed with stock att 5.1.1, my phone has been either sounding off a notification or vibrating, depending on which is turned on, every few minutes. Nothing shows up in the status area or on the lock screen. It doesn't matter if I leave it on full charge or unplug it. How can I trace what is causing it do this?
Solved.

I found it. It was under Device -> Accessability -> Vision -> Notification reminder.
Hi,
My phone's display goes completely white when I wake it up after being dormant. This started happening after I had the screen replaced and a full reset was done, but I am not certain if it is a software issue or a hardware issue.
The behaviour of the phone is as follows:
- Power ON: The phone powers up fine and boots up fine (display works as normal), and I can use the phone (call, text, play games, etc...)
- Now, when I let the phone go to sleep and then I wake it up, the screen goes from being completely off to being completely white. Kinda like one of those "flashlight apps" that don't use the flash...
- Same happens if I let the device go to sleep and a call comes in. In that case, the device wakes up as it rings, but the screen is completely white. If you know where the button to answer the call would be, you can actually answer the call though... So the screen is responsive, it just isnt displaying anything
So, I am looking to see if anyone has seen this in the past and what the cause may be. This happens with either the HTC ROM or Android.
FYI, the shop that did the screen replacement is not taking responsibility, so yes that sucks, etc... etc... No point discussing that.
so this has been my backup phone for a couple years. my main phone just died so now im using this. I did the system update to 10. And from what ive read, ambient display no longer works. The screensaver only works when phone is charging. I tried the Always On app, and while it did give me a clock on screen while phone screen is off, it just sat in the middle of the screen, even though it was set to jump, then slide. the time never moved and i dont want that, it will burn the screen.
So is there a way to get the screensaver to work when screen is off? instead of only when its plugged in. I dont want to have to pick up or turn the phone on just to see the time.
Custom rom only, but your battery will take a hit.
