Because the stock based ROM has hands down better battery life then any CM ROM I've ran... and more stable I'm my opinion. I always prefer stock based custom roms. Just my preference.

I see what you're saying. I have stability issues when I run benchmark apps compared to when it was stock and rooted but for everyday stuff it's stable for me. I've been meaning to try out a stock debloated rom but I like what I'm running too much atm lol I've gotten lazy for now.

After you flash the ROM, install titanium backup. You can remove bloatware with that app. Anything T-Mobile you can remove.
They call me "Jelly" cuz jam don't shake like this!
Don't you prefer to install custom rom? Many custom roms have bloat already removed. I recommend FrostyJB, very stable, most of bloat removed, long battery life.

I wasn't using any ics based roms so nothing from my personal experience. I know that there was Frosty based on ics, I saw it somewhere. If it is as good as his jb based then you should be happy with it. I recommend going to development forum and checking the most popular roms, you should find something interesting. Sorry for not providing much help in that matter. I just don't have much experience with sgs3 ics based roms.
Good luck

That has no bloat, but also you lose Samsung exclusive (tw based) futures like motion or smart stay, and it may have more bugs. But this is very good option for some. I'm running right now one of cm10 based ROMs and I love completely bloat free experience. Battery life is incredible. But I miss smart stay and few motion gestures.

Root & install SU + BusyBox.
Install terminal emulator from the market.
Fire up the emulator & go to town on APKs in /system/app.
For the APKs you find annoying & not spelled to your preference....or you simply wanna claim a Fatah on, delete.
Win.

Would like to know if there is a simple edit to send over 160 characters on stock mms app. Also would like to know if there are any tips to keep my phones ram from maxing out all the time never had this issue so don't know how to adjust it. THANK YOU!
This rom is GREAT! I have tried a few and this one if by far my favorite. Question though: I feel as if I am getting way more volume than I wanted, is there a volume mod/boost on this thing that I am not aware of? Also, the acid sound mod and sound enchancements (in system settings) - what do they do? I have been tring to figure out the ins and outs of this rom, I found out how to use multiwindow from another user, but is there a general guide for all these features some where that I'm missing? I just donated to SAC today for all his hard work, it's greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Chemistry Rom
Chemistry Rom is that deal I love how me having my phone flashed to boost and being able to use all the main functions like mms and voice mail all working with this ROM. Now what will be great if we can get call record added into it...

Lockscreen issue
Been running this ROM for a few days now and I've run into this issue a couple times. Sometimes when my phone restarts the lockscreen is rotated 90 degrees and I cant do anything. The only thing that seems to fix it is wiping dalvik. Any ideas as to whats going on here? It's obviously not a huge issue, but it's annoying.
Been using this for weeks. Its awesome, everything works. Just wondering if it'll work if I flash ma6 update? I just don't wanna screw up a good thing.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Thank you so much for rom, but a few questions.
Thank you so much sac23, this rom is amazing and the perfect solution for anyone who wants a stock TW feel rom with added functionality.
Ive been running the rom for about 2 weeks now, i have a couple questions, and a single bugs i may have found on this otherwise 100% perfect rom.
first, i had the phone crash 2-3 times. once was when switching between apps... the actual window that pops up to force close the app because it crashed has some !$# thing on the options. I also experienced this is i save a game file, on asphalt7 and leave the game by "quitting" although its not only isolated to this exact app, i am able to replicate it regularly.
second, i had a few questions
1- is there any way to make the toggles not shrink the icons when it gets to the last 10% of closing the notification menu? it makes it look twitchy when you open it fast.
2- i was checking out this "criskelo toggles" add on you put, but if i do it, how do i revert back if i dont like it?
3- is there any way to change the battery icon in the notification menu so that it doesnt display a percentage INSIDE the battery? i prefer using the stock percentage next to the battery, so its annoying having 2 battery percentages.
4-where can i donate? you guys deserve a reward for your work =P
I just wanted to update with a bug or two I found.
1-after taking a screenshot, pulling down the expanded notification drawer, clicking edit causes a force close/crash.
2- Gps tag in stock tw camera app is broken.
Das it! Thanks again devs

Phoenix ROM is nice. A lot of custom things. Minor modifications that are in it improves comfort
- circle batter icon
- H+ and range in 1 icon
- sound driver
- 21 toggle
- STweaks for overclock and more
There is no such thing as a "best ROM". What suits you is completely different to what suits others - it's subjective.
We all try x ROMs to find our what we like. Why should you try to take shortcuts? Don't be so lazy, try different ROMs and don't expect anyone to do the work for you. You're idle and want spoon feeding. GTFOOH and do your own research.

I did fresh install of Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 using CWM. The ROM is great, most stable of the ones I used (official ICS, Liquid Nitro and some other ICS based) it has very few random reboots, and I think that SD card is a reason to that. I really like the CM 10.1.3 but problem is that games simply work slowly. I have installed Fruit Ninja 1.8.8 which worked fine on other ROMs I tried but here it works slowl, and Subway Surfers for example won't even open. Is there any fix to this?
Also by the way... Should I flash p936 baseband since I live in Europe?
Any of the CM or AOSP based ROMs will give you poor gaming performance. Only ROMs based on official ICS will have the performance needed IMHO. With that being said, currently I am running NitroTNT, which gives me the best balance of battery, performance and stability. You might also try SphinX which is based off of official Jellybean. Even though it isn't as good as ICS for games, it still is a lot better than CM.

Why might this be? Is it because the official-based roms use the kernel for this phone while CM uses a CM-based kernel? Can we maybe get CM10.1.3 working with an official jellybean-based kernel? @lyfkevin maybe you can provide some input.

Thanks! Hope this will fix it!
Alrighty guys and gals, as promised here is my multimod flashable zip for MK7(THIS IS ONLY FOR DEODEXED ROMS!!!!!!)Now, onto the fun stuff..
What it includes:
1. 1% battery mod
2.ink effect any color super ripple( this is controlled by an app now
3. 30, yeeup 30!!! Freakin' native touchwiz toggles..including flashlight, clean ram, and 4 way reboot toggle
4. 4 way reboot power button mod
5. Custom pulldown background image
Bugs:
A couple :
1. Air gesture, air view, and personal mode toggles dont work(obviously.. because we don't have an s4 or n3 now do we? Lol) not to say that if n3 features are successfully ported that some won't work, but i'm not porting it..lol
2. To see/enable all toggles after flashing you might need to go to your edit toggles screen and push reset(this can be found in settings app/ my device / display / notification panel)
3. For light flare lockscreen go to settings app / my device /display / lock screen / unlock effect...tick light flare...To enable ink effect instead, tick ripple effect, exit settings and click on the ink color changer app in your app drawer..tick enable ink effect and pick any color..profit
4. WIFI ISSUES HAVE BEEN FIXED IN V2, DEVS MAY INCLUDE THIS IN A ROM NOW AS WELL(just thank me and the people mentioned if you do..) AND IT CAN BE FLASHED OVER ANY KERNEL, EVEN A BONE STOCK KERNEL WITH NO ISSUES AT ALL!!!!!
Again, for the third time..DO NOT FLASH THIS OVER AN ODEXED ROM, YOU WILL BORK YOUR SYSTEM!!!! If you aren't sure if it is or not read the op for the rom you are on, or ask someone in that particular thread
Confirmed working beautifully on:
Jedi master 4.3 rom
Swarm stock rom
I have been in contact with edkeys and we are trying to figure out the odex issue but nothing yet...when we have something concrete it'll be uploaded for ya guys
THE THANKS PART!!!
Please..i cannot stress it enough, take the time to thank these people on their respective threads as you would not be basking in the glory of this mod if it weren't for them..

I'm on swarm using kernel that came with it. Misspoke earlier, 25 toggles after dirty flash. Will reflash mod and see if issue pops back up.

My apologies guys, this mod is still in early phases of usage on our forum..After some testing on my phone I can confirm it is a kernel issue..This mod unfortunately will only work with a custom kernel such as agni or devil..WILL NOT WORK WITH STOCK KERNEL..I will be updating op soon with this info and links to both kernels, again..really sorry about the wifi issue guys my testers and I were on custom kernels and everything worked fine so it wasn't even thought of to be completely honest..so deodexed, custom kernel..uggh

just an idea but could it be selinux messing with the mod? stock kernel I believe is set to enforcing but devil kernel I know is set to permissive (probably agni also). someone try using selinux mode changer app to test this idea

I had these issues sometimes with my mods also.
Just reflash your kernel after (agni or w.e) and wifi will come back.
Also nice work @manufan721

Yeah, i tried it as well, no go....havent tried to reflash a stock kernel after though..i'll hafta test that out..lol..not sure why people would even wanna stick to a stock kernel anyway when agni has everything you could want with init.d support, boeffla, and overclocking..but to each their own i guess..ill test reflashing a stock kernel later today and let ya know and i appreciate the thanks for the mod man, took me 2 weeks to figure it out..lol
