im using omega v11
great rom and i feel real long life battery with fast operations
you can get the v12 from the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1915036

Personal preference imo, in term of performance, stability and longer lasting battery.

I think the best ive ever use is Android Revolution HD 12.0 ....the batt usage is superb =D

Stock

I am using pacman at the moment; very fast and you can tweak dpi with paranoid android settings - otherwise having such a big screen does not make much sense for me

The best one is whichever one you are happy with.

Im using revolution HD at the minute after using omega rom. HD is pretty close to stock rom. Im constantly looking for a rom that is really customisable like I used to have on my i9000. (Darky rom 10.2) as a lot of the mods you got OTA but as far as I can see there is no darky rom for n7100

Phoenix ROM is nice. A lot of custom things. Minor modifications that are in it improves comfort
- circle batter icon
- H+ and range in 1 icon
- sound driver
- 21 toggle
- STweaks for overclock and more

There is no such thing as a "best ROM". What suits you is completely different to what suits others - it's subjective.
We all try x ROMs to find our what we like. Why should you try to take shortcuts? Don't be so lazy, try different ROMs and don't expect anyone to do the work for you. You're idle and want spoon feeding. GTFOOH and do your own research.

What Note II ROM should I go with if I prioritize the following...?
- Highly customizable with loads of configuration-options.
- Good speed, low battery consumption.
- The ability to use S-Pen with pressure sensitivity.
Another question... what is the difference between a ROM and a "Kernel"?
Get one from here mate http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1794

just ginger DX v029
It depends what day it is. Seriously, I swap ROMs so often even I don't know for sure.
Enhanced 2.3.6 has been the best for stability etc but CM7 offers the next best stability with greater features - e.g. music controls on the lockscreen.
weekend : cm9
school days : enhaced 236
friday : sometimes cm7

How can i remove bloat from a rom?

i got a rooted rom that i'm going to install. but i want to know some things i can do:
1 - how i can remove the bloat?
2 - what bloat is safe to remove?
3 - are there risks to removing some bloat that the system might need?
heres the link thats got the rom i want to mod:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771687
After you flash the ROM, install titanium backup. You can remove bloatware with that app. Anything T-Mobile you can remove.
They call me "Jelly" cuz jam don't shake like this!
Don't you prefer to install custom rom? Many custom roms have bloat already removed. I recommend FrostyJB, very stable, most of bloat removed, long battery life.

I wasn't using any ics based roms so nothing from my personal experience. I know that there was Frosty based on ics, I saw it somewhere. If it is as good as his jb based then you should be happy with it. I recommend going to development forum and checking the most popular roms, you should find something interesting. Sorry for not providing much help in that matter. I just don't have much experience with sgs3 ics based roms.
Good luck

That has no bloat, but also you lose Samsung exclusive (tw based) futures like motion or smart stay, and it may have more bugs. But this is very good option for some. I'm running right now one of cm10 based ROMs and I love completely bloat free experience. Battery life is incredible. But I miss smart stay and few motion gestures.

Root & install SU + BusyBox.
Install terminal emulator from the market.
Fire up the emulator & go to town on APKs in /system/app.
For the APKs you find annoying & not spelled to your preference....or you simply wanna claim a Fatah on, delete.
Win.

What would you like to see in a rom

Man, I've really been wanting a linairo build Cm10 pre supercharge v6
.I have this phone BTW.. this is my other device

Touchwiz 4.0.4 that's snappy like like AOSP with all tweaks and goodies included, Jedi Kernel, with an AOSP theme.
Also, a build of cm10 that doesn't suck the life out of my battery.

Cm10 has always been a battery hog Lol. Slim bean is good tho and so is any AOKp build.

I would like to see master&slaves make a jb rom for our phone.
I would love to see a feature like my asus laptop has, a simply app that can change between high performance, regular or battery saving life mode right now we just highly tweaked then battery saving mode
Most roms dont show battery percentage
Automatic ram clearing coding
Some way of easily switched on the torch without unlocking the phone

CM7 based on stock ROM is great..
fast and less battery consume..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2164025
stock or CM7 based are the lightest ROMs around.
no ICS/JB ROM comes close.
I'm using MaclawStudio's AOSP ICS for some time now, and I must say that's the best rom I've ever used for the Galaxy Gio ;d
It's smooth, the battery life is good and because it's ICS it also looks awesome!
I'll try M'rage Rom v2.1 is beautiful hahaha, tks ppl :victory:
I would prefer Erik's cm10.1 rom. Using it in daily use over a year. You can install link2sd or a int2ext4+ script to gain more storage for apps if you need it.

Jellybread is very stable.
Only issue I have is that sometimes text is unreadable in buttons or notification bar (light text on light background).
