[Q] How to port ROMs from other HTC One Variants - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hi, I was wondering if its possible to port ROMS from the GSM HTC One (including the Google Edition One) and if its easy as to changing lines in a build.prop and in the installer text file. I tried flashing Android Revolution from the HTC One (M7) forum and it didn't boot. So I'm not sure if its different partitions. My porting days from the Droid Eris are over lol

Well one dev has already ported the Google play edition that came on the gsm versions.

It will require changing lib files, build.prop, and a bunch of others - including the most important - the kernel. Check this thread out:

[Q] Htc Desire Z Roms vs. Tmobile G2 roms

Hi guys, I'm hoping i'm posting this in the right section.
I was just wondering if the HTC desire Z off the bell store in canada is compatible with G2 roms (after rooting it of course)... I was also wondering if the rooting methods are also the same.
Please and Thank you
P.s: I'm assuming the radios are interchangeable as well... ?
I'm sure the original G2 ROM's won't work on the DZ, but I'm not entirely sure... custom ROMs are compatible with both devices though
Although I think the stock ROM will work (someone posted up yesterday after flashing G2 stock on their DZ), you're probably best sticking to the custom ROMs.
Yes, the radios are interchangeable.

a lil help would be nice on this forum

i have a us cellular htc desire
already have cyanogen mod 7 on there.
want to install a new rom would i do it the same way i did with CM7?

[Q]What is the possibility of KitKat for the HTC Desire CDMA?

I was wondering there was going to be any kikat develement for the cdma desire
I've tryed myself make the cdma rom by using some of HTC Desire GSM unofficial roms. But problem is: phone is not booting after flashing. I've tried to change build prop lines to cdma settings and use original jellybean boot.img instead, but annot fix it. And can't find the thread about it!
P.S. Possibility of using GSM JB roms we have after somebody previously make ICS & JB fix for CDMA Desire. And explanation in that thread about build prop chainges for CDMA instead of GSM. Will be wiiting. If I find or make one, so will test & continue CDMA Desire KitKat thread...

[Q] Paranoid Android m7ul

Hey Guys,
I dont have the permissions to reply to the original threat, so I have to ask here:
Is the PA Version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/development/aospa-4-4-4-paranoidandroid-m7-4-44-t2828737 compatible with the international m7ul or only with the m7?
Thanks
Hello there,
The m7 version will work the m7ul device. I personally have an m7att (which is pretty much a carrier branded m7ul) and the m7 rom works fine.
"m7" and "m7ul" are pretty much used interchangeably from what i've seen, so most (if not all) of the roms in that section should be safe for you to use.

Having Nexus software on my HTC One M8 Dual sim

Hello All,
I am new to the forum and first of all I want to say thanks for every one who contributed so far.
I was able to unlock and root my htc one M8 dual sim using info from a thread on this forum.
Now i am wondering if I can make my phone have Nexus software (the software on nexus 5 phone)? I prefer the pure google version vs the Htc version.
How can this be done? I assume flashing a custom rom? Please if someone can explain to me or point me to a direction it would be great.
Mostly I like the way nexus outlines the contacts and the dialpad (missed calls, dialed contacts...) better than the htc.

I think what you want is the GPE conversion. It's stock Android.

Not sure if it works with dual sim.
Yes stock android GPE is what I want. But the link you provided doesn't seem to work for dual sim.
or maybe I should try what's suggested here?

That's stock Sense, not pure Android.

You are right. hehe sorry im new to android scene, its a bit confusing at first.
As per my google research, I am yet to find a GPE for HTC M8 dual sim, which doesn't seem logical in my head.
The current software (sens) is based on GPE right? so GPE should be available somewhere....or I am halucinating?
