Temperature app - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

hello guys,
just got my Ascend P6 few days ago and I am also new here.
I would like to know more things about the temperature sensor mentioned in phone specifications, what really do and if there is an app for that.
thanks in advance.

The battery tab in CPU-Z shows the temperature. I honestly have no idea what is the purpose of this, maybe for clocking down the cpu so the phone doesnt heat up that much, I could be wrong.

Best Battery save app

Hi Frndz i came across this app n it really really cool... a must try for all battery savers and it works like charm
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eugene373.cpu.sleep&feature=search_result
NOTES BY AUTHOR
### Attention, Root Required Application!! ###
What is it?
Its a fairly simple App that will put CPU 1/2/3 OFFLINE when the screen turns off. Once the screen comes back on, it will allow CPU 1/2/3 back ONLINE.
How does it work?
Since we have Dual & Quad core CPUs, we have a CPU 0 and a CPU 1/2/3, core 0/1/2/3, while the screen is off we really only need to have 1 core active "CPU0", this App will make sure CPU 1/2/3 shuts off while the screen is off, then resumes normal usage when the screen comes back on.
Compatibility?
Works with any Dual Core & Quad Core Devices!
Battery Saving?
Battery savings all depends on Usage & idle times.
Trying this. I'll post my report later.
Thanks for the info
thank y:good:
have by it

Try this bro....
Install stock kernel
Enable power saving mode (only cpu option)
Then use this app.... when u see cpu stats u will see deep sleep mode enabled instantly when screen is off....
Gives me amazing batt life n when i game i simply disable power saving mode n it works like charm...

The sgs3 already shuts off the other cores. That's what hotplugging feature of the kernel does.

looks promising but can someone report back to see if this app uses up much battery itself in BetterBatteryStats, if it doesn't ill certainly purchase it.

I have WiFi and Sync on and my battery do not seems to discharge (I don't know if it was already like this before, but it's impressive)
I'll deactivate this, try the same experience, and post a screenshot of the result
I don't really like the power saving mode, but I'll try these options
Well does it still sync all the stuff it is supposed to with this tool enabled? (Gmail, Twitter and what not?)
Its important when testing this app, to ensure you do not use powersaving mode.... I bet powersaving mode is actually doing ALL the work and the app, nothing.
OR, first use powersaving mode without the app.
What the OP is suggesting is you use the APP and powersaving mode. Well of course powersaving mode saves power (the clue is in the title) so how can anyone tell how good this app, (that simply turns off the cores like the SGS3 already does) really is?
It costs money too?
What?!

Eugene is actually a very reputable dev here on XDA. I saw his thread for this in the US forums. There might be an xda edition of it somewhere

Oh THAT eugene. These threads have been locked countless times and it has been proven several times it has been useles son teh SGS3 as it already does this.
Here is our thread we already had on this:

Lots of technical reasons given by a kernel developer as to why this doesn't work and even why it is bad for your phone.
Yes, but this is the best response from the dev.

It was just an illusion.
This app did nothing on my battery life, the S3 has just a huge battery life. I noticed that during this short period (~4hrs) my battery life is rather a little bit worse with this app activated.
This app is definitely useless
Thanks for reporting back, i shall not be purchasing this app

[Q] Battery Saving apps stop working

Hey everyone! Over the last weeks I have been trying out several battery-saving applications on my Huawei P6:
- Juice Defender (Ultime)
- GreenPower
- Deep Sleep Battery Saver
- ...
I configure all of these battery saving apps to enable data/wifi for 1 minute, then disable it again for 5 minutes.
All the applications work when they are just started but after a while (~20minutes) these application stops enabling data/wifi...
Because of that I no longer receive any emails, ... because the connection is not enabled automatically...
I am running version B111 and all background apps are allowed to run. I am not running a task killer which could be killing these applications.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Anyone else using any battery saving apps that they can recommend?
Feedback is appreciated!

Whether the battery saving apps are Bloatware/Crapware is a personal opinion. I'm free to use whatever I like and I wanted to use if because there is much more functionality included in these dedicated battery saving apps compared to the built-in power save option on the Huawei P6.
I don't get why it's not compatible? Even after disabling the built-in power save feature on my P6 It still did not work.

[Q] [Battery Drain] Android OS sucking a lot of battery

Hello,
From the last 2-3 days my phone's battery life reduced by 4-5 hours. Upon checking I found that Android OS is taking a lot of battery (Image attached). I have just a couple of sync settings on. Its also keeps the CPU awake. Please suggest any way to stop this.
Thanks

you wont see much or any power savings from switching to a lower resolution..no matter what the resolution is your display is still having to drive all X amount of pixels that your display physically contains. get a lower power screen usually lower res ones will be lower power and thats about the only way. dimming helps too. just a few notches dimmed from full/half can make a world of difference. all the pixels will still be lit regardless of resolution used

Assuming you are right, there is still much battery savings from lowering the resolution because the processor doesn't need to push as hard to drive the lower resolution.
I've lowered mine and definitely saw a difference.
