Camera apps'missing slow motion recording option
Is anyone having that issue?
It is there you have to go to the cog looking icon then the icon that looks like a camera. In there you should see the recording modes.

You could just use screen filter in combination with tasker. I created an task witch fires the camera and screenfilter.

I know why you need that dirty people !

Ive been hearing a lot about camera mods and was wondering if there was one that would work with my phone.
Do you have an Epic? What kind of camera mod are you looking for?

Well i didnt know there was more than one...I just thought there was one that would improve quality of audio and video, maybe pics ? And yes i have the Epic 4g.
I don't believe there is. Only mod I know of disables the shutter sound for the camera.

HD Camera from the market seriously improves the pix quality.

I'm not sure, but the last time I tried to use an SGSII Camera app on the Epic , the shutter button would glitch it out.

What app is this? I ran a search but can't find it.
Oops, left out a letter HDR Camera, sorry. It seems to take 2 or 3 quick shots and merges the pixels for an awesome HD picture.

Yup I use this app to. It takes one I believe saturated picture one less saturated and on with no edits and combines them, the only thing is that camera shutter noise!

The stock GS3 camera app will allow you to take a photo while recording video, as long as video stabilization isn't on. A small camera icon should appear on the right side of the screen while recording. You can turn stabilization off somewhere within the camera settings.
I think they mean while playing back a video

I just received the jelly bean update. I was under the impression that the camera would be updated, but it's not. Is anyone else having this same problem? Also, I thought that the lock screen was getting an overhaul as well. Thanks in advance for the answers.

There are changes to the lock screen and the camera but they are subtle.
The lock screen can now have 5 shortcuts, instead of 4.
The camera now has a low light mode for still photos (look under shooting mode). You can now pause and continue recoding in video mode.
There may be other changes but that is all I have noticed.

Disable the ripple effect under settings/lockscreen/lockscreen options. This will give you the JB rings when you press and hold the screen.

Does anyone know if you can disable the camera shutter sound?
my HTC phone can do this but my note can't.
This is pretty annoying when taking pictures during a conference.

Doesn't look like they included the option in the camera settings but you can silence the notification sound on the tablet before you open the camera app and it won't make the shutter sound

Hmm, silencing all the volume sliders doesn't seem to have an effect on the camera sound. I ended up using my phone for taking pictures and adding them to my notes later.
