[Q] wi-fi direct on dhd

i installed an ICS rom on my dhd and i noticed wifi direct in settings, when i tried to swap files with a Samsung Galaxy s2 he didn't find me nor i couldn't set up my connection
Is this ever gonna work? plus the real bummer is that i cant play multyplayer games over wifi like bia2 or others

well any ics sandwish can contain error in this time , meanwhile u can try an other rom or try with the ics but with a clean installation (wipe cache, format system) and try if it works

I tried with several roms still no luck, i am more than curious if anyone managed to get the wifi direct working fully on the dhd

[Q] Cant connect wifi

since im using 4.1.2 jelly beans im trying to connect wifi but cant...im finding all the tips reset the router and everyrhing but seems not work
if im using 4.0.4 ICS i can connect wifi without any problem...ant solutions?:crying:

are u change your kernel? or using the default cm 10 alpha 7 kernel?
i have the same problem before.. because i change my kernel into athena kernel.. its not compatible for cm 10 alpha 7.. so i cant use wifi and tethering

Maybe the problem is that your modem use WEP,

WEP is not working in CM10 alpha 7. only option right now is to set your wifi security to wpa

In your wifi advance setting select any wifi region code.

Network problem.

Hello everyone. The other day I wanted to change ROMs. From AOKP to Cm 10.1. Everything was fine until my data wouldn't connect on Cm 10.1 so I went back to AOKP but I'm still having the same problem! I had a back up from November 2012 AOKP 4.1.2 everything works on the this backup. I thought maybe it was just those two ROMs or something so I flashed Slim bean and everything went fine but I was still experiencing the same problem. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Did you flash the newest radio? The newer CM10.1 builds require it. That is where you should start. It is called uvmc6 and can be found here:

No I haven't. I figured that since I'm running an older version of AOKP I didn't haven't to. I tried the newer versions of AOKP and the older versions of AOKP. I get the same results. So now I'm going to flash CM 10.1 and then flash the radio and see if it'll work.

The uvmc6 is for 4.1.2 and the cm 10.1 is 4.2.2.

The radios in that thread should work with any T989 ROM.

Alright. Thanks for the help. I'll flash the cm10.1 and the radio and see if it fixes my problem and I'll get back to you. Thanks again.

Last night I completely lost data like how u said..I thought my sim was not making connection..I flashed different ROMs. Aokp then soap then Jedi...then around 3am my data bars everything worked like nothing ever happened.... Weird

[Q] [HELP!!] Everything crashes for all the ROMs I install!!!!

I'm so confused!!!
As the title says, for ALL the roms I install, they all crash (launcher, setting, google search crashes).
What the heck is wrong with it?
I tried Carbon Rom, PA, AOKP, C-Rom, and they all crash!
I factory resetted it multiple times but doesnt work..
The Android Version before was 4.3, but I'm installing 4.4.4 ROMs.
Do I have to update my phone to 4.4.4 for it to work properly?
Or the build version doesn't matter?
Could it be that I'm using an incompatible kernel?
What is wrong with my phone?
I even went to Settings - Apps- Launcher and force stopped & clear data.
How do I fix it??? Thanks!

Did the 4.3 ROM work? Have you tried the stock ROM?

I installed CM Remix rom, which is also 4.4.4 rom, but it works perfectly fine and has not crashed once. What do you think the problem is? For other roms, I downloaded the right Gapps, used stock kernel..
I noticed that everything crashes when I download multiple apps from the playstore..

hi xda 2days ago i wanted to get rid of gb and installed cm9 zeus(the final version), the phone booted without any probs and very smooth but when i wanted to turn wifi on in setting it just says turning wifi on... and i cant scan or add network both of them wont work i tried to change the kernel but nothing changed any solutions?
btw my play is r800i

kernels flashed:
the kernel i should install that is in zip file (boot.img)
lupus pro cm9 v3.1
luus cm9 720p recording
nexplay kernel(also tried with nexplay rom)

Try flashing lupus jb v8, I'm using it now to boot between ics and jb roms it has an,option to fix WiFi in recovery

Well thanks for answer but didn't work I found that if I put simcard out wifi will start working... anyway to make it work with simcard? Also tried cm10 roms and still wifi won't work with simcard
