problem with wifi

the wifi doesnt work if i install any ics rom
i tried alot of ics roms
i have the latest radio version
and i tried alot of kernals but it didnt work with me
any solution to this problem please

Weird. Coz i didnt have wifi issues with any rom Whether its ICS or JB or even sense roms. Ive tried over 20 roms ..

Hmmm. Straight After flashing rom did u change the kernel?

Btw why do you have to change kernel ? I always use default kernel of every rom.

i tried every thing
some people said i have to change the kernal of nfininty kernal
but i tried alot of kernals and i tried the default kernal with the rom
but nothing made the wifi work on ics

Try flashing latest radio. Maybe it'll help.
EDIT: you already have latest radio. Does wifi works on GB and Froyo ?

Odp: problem with wifi
If nothing helps then i'm afraid if it will be hardware problem. Probably ur wifi module is broken. Do u have problems with 3g and mobile data?

If it wont work only on ICS roms i dont know.
If it works on GB or ... than its not hardware
Just make sure you do correct wiping before flashing, maybe its that thing with that thing

Wifi Tethering in CM10 A 7

Guys,I can't use my wifi tethering in cm 10 a 7 ROM, and I just knew that that thing is a bug from that ROM. So, I decided to install several wifi tethering app from playstore,but it doesn't work as well. So, what I am suppose to do to use wifi tethering in cm10 a 7?.

Im using xperia cm 10 latest update by mikrotik

If want workung full wipe..

its work for me.. if u use the default kernel, i think it will work.. if u change ur kernel maybe the wifi tethering disabled..

Ow..What ROM do u use bro?. Mine is from arco.. or maybe i made a mistake about using the wifi tethering,didn't i?

Re-flash your ROM may solve your problem. I'm using CM 10 A7, and it's work for me. Make sure you are:
1. Go to recovery
2. Wipe data and cache
3. Wipe system
4. Flash ROM
5. Flash gapps
6. Don't flash other kernel first, just to make sure that WiFi tethering is work
7. If it works, don't flash your modified kernel, probably that make your WiFi tethering doesn't work
8. If it doesn't work, it may hardware failure.

What's your kernel? If you used a custom kernel that not support cm 10 alpha 7 because that diffrent wifi driver on custom kernel.

im using that ROM before from arco too, and i dont have wifi tethering problem.. but now im using CM 10.1 ancora..
hmm.. maybe you have problem with wifi driver.. but i dont know about that driver.. sorry

please...help me...i've tried to find region code in advanced menu in wi-fi settings...but nothing happens...i cant find it...

Try eos or pac but fastboot the kernel first before flashing the zip

Although eos 4 is still in development, it's a very smooth rom. i'm currently using it on a daily basis.
It doesn't have any wifi issues. Even the NFC is working.

wifi not working in cm11
Hey devs.... even i have the same prob... the wifi on/off switch in my XM is greyed out...
i even tried porting some wlan modules from the stock with no luck... could anybody point me to a solution??

hi xda 2days ago i wanted to get rid of gb and installed cm9 zeus(the final version), the phone booted without any probs and very smooth but when i wanted to turn wifi on in setting it just says turning wifi on... and i cant scan or add network both of them wont work i tried to change the kernel but nothing changed any solutions?
btw my play is r800i

kernels flashed:
the kernel i should install that is in zip file (boot.img)
lupus pro cm9 v3.1
luus cm9 720p recording
nexplay kernel(also tried with nexplay rom)

Try flashing lupus jb v8, I'm using it now to boot between ics and jb roms it has an,option to fix WiFi in recovery

Well thanks for answer but didn't work I found that if I put simcard out wifi will start working... anyway to make it work with simcard? Also tried cm10 roms and still wifi won't work with simcard
