Guys,
I appologies if I am going to repeat some of the stuff already written but believe me I read most of the posts already.
To keep the story short, last year I bought a TP and my intention was to retire my old trusted Wizzard. I was very disapointed and I sold the device after one month of frustration. Please keep in mind that my baseline is the Wizzard.
1. The sound level was so low I bearily heard the phone converstion when I was in a bit noisy environment (like in the car, or mall)
2. The touch screen became active when somebody called and the phone was replying automatically whilst in the pouch.
3. GPS lag, compared to my Wizzard plus an external gps, 2-3 seconds more delay compared with the Wizzard (TomTom)
4. No lateral buttons for voice recording during a call, or voice notes, without browsing the software.
5. The screen was way to small for the 3D interface.
6. Battery life very short, 1.5 days max compared to the Wizzard 3-4 days. (30 min calls, 30 min wifi, 1 hour of screen on for games per day.) For traveling the Wizzard with full battery, BT on and the screen on max bright, TomTom runing it lasts 4-5 hours. The TP last max 2,5 hours same conditions.
7. I use a lot voice calls while I'm in the car. Does the TP2 have it?
Please help me to decide whether the TP2 is the phone for me or maybe I should go for the TyTn II.
Thanks a lot for your feedback/opinions/comments.
Get it you'll love it

Touch Pro2 (Rhodium) is excellent, you will not be disappointed.
Also if you had waited a while and tried some of the custom Roms from here for you Touch Pro you would have been very impressed with the device, admittedly it did require a lot of reworking and tweaking on the software side of things to make it acceptable. I still have my Touch Pro and it really isn't that bad a device, the only reason I upgraded to the Rhodium was for the bigger screen and keyboard (my thumbs are far too large for the Touch Pro keyboard to be useable for my needs)
I also own a Tytn 2 and TP2 is a huge improvement over it!
GET ONE YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED>

Wizard Vs TP2
Hi there,
My personal experience with the wizard wasnt great, yes it was the first with a slide out, horizontal keyboard but it had a slow processor and was far too sluggish for the things I threw at it, I also had the Tytn and the Tytn 2 (my personal favourite for a long time) and I finally bought the TP2 (skipped the TP1 as I was so impressed with the Tytn 2 I felt it was moving slightly backwards).
I can say without doubt that I love the TP2, it's taken a little tweaking and getting used to as there is a lack of hardware buttons (no navigation buttons) and there is no voice call option via bluetooth (I am still working on getting MS Voice Command 1.6 to connect).
I would personally say that if you cam live without the hardware buttons and voice activated calling via bluetooth then go for it, otherwise get the Tytn 2 as it's still an amazing bit of kit and it still has the tilt screen.
I hope this helps.

Yes, it helps a lot, thank you guys for your feedback.
Concerning the voice call, without bluetooth, is it available on TP2? I mean like for the Wizard, you press a hardware button and the phone is waiting to make the voice call.
Is the phone loud enough, anyway louder than TP1?
I know the wizzard wasn't fast at all - I cannot run skype for instance - but with some compromises it fits my needs. Of course I would love the bigger screen and the faster processor and the integrated GPS of the TP2.
TX u all.

Does this mean that when the TP2 is connected to a car kit via bluetooth and then i initiate a call by speaking the name of the person through the car kit that it wont work ? i.e. my built in car kit has the option for voice dialing but it connects to the phone over bluetooth. Is this the same thing or have i misunderstood the quote above ?
thanks
Hello everybody,
I have a Samsung Galaxy 551 (GT-I5510) and I have severe problems with my gps.
Normally, it needs about 15 minutes for a gps fix (without agps). To make the fixing faster, I installed a gps-logger to check my position every two hours. By this, I could improve the fixing time to about 2 minutes (without agps).
As the summer gets really near, it's warm outside. Now, I have again problems with my gps. During the past days, I did not get a fix within 1 hour. Then I gave up. I checked the satellite connection with a gps-software. Mostly, I did not have any connection. Sometimes, my phone saw 2-4 satellites (although it was really brilliant weather outside --> no clouds).
I supposed, that the bad connection is influenced by the temperature.
Then I started putting my phone into the refrigerator. After about 10-15 minutes, I took it out.
Result:
Even inside my house, I have connection to 6 satellites. But after about 10 minutes. I lose any connection.
I don't know, how the gps antenna is installed inside the phone. But I suppose, that due to heat expension, I have problems with the connection between gps antenna and the gps chipset.
Could you help me please, to fix this problem? Where is the gps antenna located? How can I improve the connection between gps antenna and gps chipset? Can I install a better gps antenna?
Thank you very much.
Best regards
I am facing a weak wifi problem since I bought it, it was refurbished and it had android 2.3 and htc sense 3.0. i updated it with 4.2.2 r11 .
The problem is that when i sit with the router then it only get full signal, if i move even 2,3 steps signal drops and after 5 meters there is no signals.. laptop and other mobile works fine with the same router so no problem with the router.. so is it the battery cover problem or IC is weak??
i have tried one thing and it even works but it is not a proper solution.. what I did is I connected a small wire with the terminal of wifi which is under batter cover and it is so thin that it easily came out of battery cover.. it increased wifi signal power.. so any one knows what could be the problem be? THANKS IN ADVANCE..
Could be a multitude of things.
Loose battery cover

Hi people,
I have recently bought a Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, brazilian version T211M with 3G and digital TV.
The idea was to use it as an in-car multimedia and GPS device using Waze. I made some tests using my Nexus 7 2013 for this purpose, and it worked flawlessly. So I bought the GTab 3 to be a dedicated tablet for this.
The thing is: the GTab 3 GPS is nowhere near the Nexus 7 GPS performance. My N7 is able to find three or more GPS satellites and lock position in a couple minutes inside my car's garage (which, BTW, is not underground, it's the building's third floor). And without A-GPS (it doesn't have 3G connection, it's the wifi version). In the same situation, the GTab 3 keeps looking, looking... and nothing. Yesterday I went out driving, and it took 15 minutes for the GTab 3 to finally lock GPS position.
Another funny thing that happens is when I stop, for example, in a traffic signal. The GTab 3 GPS gets confused somehow, it's not sure if I'm moving or if I'm stopped. Its speedometer marks 0 km/h, then 2 km/h, sometimes even 10 km/h, then 0 km/h again, the speed keeps going a little bit up, then down. Again, different from my N7, which was very precise.
As a last test, I put both tablets in my place (I live on the 9th floor), over my sofa, right beside a window and a door to the balcony. Using GPS Status (you can get it from Google Play), I tried to find GPS satellites and lock position. The N7 could do it in a couple minutes. The GTab 3 couldn't do it. I had to go outside to the balcony, stood in its end, and then finally the GTab 3 got a GPS lock. But when I go back inside, it loses the GPS signal.
I'm very disappointed about GTab 3 GPS performance, it really ruined my car tablet experience. But before I sell it and lose some money, I have to ask: is there a way to improve it's GPS performance, so that those issues are gone? Or that's the way it is, and I can't do anything about it?
I recently bought one too, haven't tested the gps yet, but comparing with my Note 3 with AGPS, it´s surely much worse.
This post talks about a gps bug?: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=138317
