Hi all of you,
After rooting, unfortunately i uninstall some applications like play movie, play tv. Once the phone restarts, it loops in LG logo and do not go further. After searching internet a lot, trying many things, i install Team win recovery project(TWRP). in early the phone detected as normal LG device in download mode. I do not know what happened ( may be this is due to advanced wiping all), now when i connect phone in download mode, it appears in device manager in "other devices" category as "Full Jellybean on mako" and says no drivers installed. What is the problem even i installed LG united mobile drivers installed.I searched google but nothing. Why it is showing like this. Due to this i cannot install any KDZ by KDZ update method.
Second, if i want to install ROM through TWRP, it requires a zip file and i have only KDZ file. How i can install the operating system.
Kindly help me. Its 48 hours i am working on it but still no sucess. I buy this phone a month ago. Its valuable to me.

Hey guys,
I used ROM Manager to install CWM yesterday and upon reboot I got into the whole "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify"
I read that I should use KDZ to flash the original firmware which I downloaded from here and installed KDZ including the msxml.msi.
Then I downloaded and installed the drivers I could find for my phone, rebooted my PC and ran KDZ but it always says it cant find my phone.
I downloaded the LG Support Tool and it also cant see my phone. Its in download mode and it just endlessly says "Waiting for connection" and if I click the install USB drivers, it says that the newest version has already been installed.
Im running window 8.1 and dont have access to another computer with Win7 or anything below.
Is there any way I can get KDZ to detect my phone?
I was thinking about running it in a virtual XP machine but it seems that running virtual xp in win8 is a little more difficult than expected.
Any ideas are welcome!
Thank you!

LG Optimus G Pro Security Error/device not being recognized by windows
After attempting to flash the cyanogenmod rom to my LG Optimus G, I ended up with the "Security Error" screen whenever I attempt boot. I can enter download and hard reset modes, but not recovery mode.
I've done a significant amount of searching around and attempted a few stock recovery methods that don't seem to work. I am thinking that the problem lies in windows not recognizing my phone as an android device. So, it makes the mounted device sound, but when I am in device manager, I cannot find the device anywhere, and when using adb to detect devices, it does not come up, despite the most current drivers being loaded.
Help? I would like to get my phone back if possible. I apologize if this answer is somewhere, but like I said, everything I have tried seems to fail.
Hello i'm new here and i have huge problems on my LG k10, i rooted it with king root and then i deleted some system app i thought there were useless for some of them and i deleted lg bridge and lg keyboard but after doing it i had some crashs from settings etc so i did a hard reset but after it the phone rebooted and since this reboot i can't do anything on setup wizard (for wifi settings for example i can't write anything because i deleted the default keyboard and the google voice doesn't work offline), my sim card is not recognized even if i putted off and putted in .
So i plugged the usb for installing lg drivers from the official site and then i installed flashtool last version from lg and i downloaded the kdz stock rom for lg k10 k420n but when i go into download mode and start flashtool it doesn't flash it with error like server failed etc, even if i don't click on ok or if i click on it, it does not do anything.
I tried to download the LG UP software but when i open it under "new model" it say unknown but in the com ports it say COM6,K42010b ... if i click on select it say me "you have to select a known model, please."
And for the end my computer even with lg drivers installed don't recognize my phone on usb mass storage so i can't put an apk keyboard on it ..
I really need help even if i think my phone is dead..

Hi, I recently purchased LG G4 Imported version (probably imported from USA) in India. Its currently running android 5.1 Lollipop & I want to upgrade to Marshmallow but I am facing some problems as listed below please help me. Apart from them all other apps & everything other works fine (e.g. Manual Camera, Google Playstore, LG built in apps etc)
Common info: USB Debugging & OEM Unlock is Enabled & Connected G4 as MTP, I am using 64-bit Win 10 desktop, Tried different USB cables & different USB Ports.
Efforts Made:
1) Tried to Update from About Phone > Update Center, but it always leads me to App Update instead of giving option to select between App & Software Update.
2) Tried to Update by flashing kdz but when I enter into download mode by pressing Vol + button & then Connect USB cable I am getting "secure boot error 1014" & Phone restarts to normal.
3) Tried to Update using LG Bridge but LG Bridge is not detecting my LG G4. *Note: Tried Fresh Install of LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.1.1 & 4.0.4, LGUnitedMobileDriver_S52MAN314AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.14.1 & installed VC_RedistInstaller (47.6MB). Also Tried the same thing on Windows 7 Laptop but same results.
4) The same problem with LG UP "There is no handset connected".
5) Then I tried with LG PC Suite but it also cant detect G4 connected.
6) Then I tried with LG Mobile Support Tool but it also cant detect the phone. (Shows "Waiting for connection")
7) Repeated all aforementioned steps after factory data reset. (Performed twice, before and after unroot from SuperSU, check point no 3 & 4 below)
8) Repeated all aforementioned steps after factory reset from Recovery mode. (After unroot from SuperSU, check point no 3 & 4 below)
Some observations:
1) Download mode from adb ( reboot download ) just makes normal restart (I cant even see the aforementioned error screen, just normal reboot)
2) One strange thing I have observed that "adb.exe devices" lists my phone as LGLS991e484402e but Under the Hardware info it shows LG-815
3) Also SuperSU came preinstalled on my device, After some time & some Factory resets I guessed that Root was causing all trouble so I unrooted from SuperSU & then Uninstalled the app. Also now restoring factory settings wont have Preinstalled SuperSu. (Also there is no change in results after unroot from SuperSU)
4) Installing SuperSU after unroot, wont have root access. (Also checked root access with use of Root Checker => No root access now)
5) I can execute adb commands (Such as reboot to recovery mode etc).
Please help me to upgrade my phone to Marshmallow. I am using guides, drivers & softwares for aforementioned processes from this forum & androidcentral.
*Update:
I can find LS991 0423 written on back of my phone which can be seen after removing leather back (written 3 times Left, Right & up of the camera)
Hi all,
This is my first thread on this website and I am not that expert of rooting and installing custom ROM's. I am trying to find a solution on your website for 2 days but I couldn't solved although I tried everything.
I have an issue with my LG G Pad 8.3 (LG V500) tablet. It was installed 5.0.2 stock ROM (Korean version) and I decided to root the device and install custom ROM. I used King Root to unlock the device. Then I installed TWRP thing to my tablet and started flashing ROM process. While working the tablet restarted automatically and it was stuck at the startup with a LG icon on the screen.
I decided to make factory hard reset it in order to get rid of this but when I try to make factory reset with button combinations I get the following error;
* Confirmed *
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
Then I searched for the forums and first installed Android Studio, then by using SDK manager tools, I also installed USB drivers.
As the device can connect download mode, I installed adb thing and tried to fix it. But apparently laptop does not recognize the device. I run the command "adb devices" and there is no devices in the list.
I also tried to use twrp recovery tools but again it didn't recognize the device.
When I check the Device Manager when the tablet is connected to laptop on download mode, I can see LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM4) thing installed. I also tried to install Android Device drivers (Android ADB Interface, Android Bootloader Interface, Android Composite ADB Interface) but they are not working properly and they have question mark on their left side.
So as you can understand I am drawning with the issues and don't know what to do next. Apparently laptop does not recognize the device but although I checked the xda forums and other forums for 2 days, I couldn't solve. I would really appreciate if you can help me.
Best
