I have figured out a way to get MMS to work on Slimbean. I am not responsible for you borking your phone up. It works for me but only tested on my phone so far. Took 2 weeks to figure this out.
I want to thank Curtis1973 for the unofficial Slimbean ROM. It's great and stable. Keep up the good work. Go to the Slimbean page and thank Curtis1973 as well.
Direct ALL questions about this method here and not the Slimbean page.
First have Slimbean installed per instructions on the Slimbean CDMA page .
Second download this https://db.tt/gqgdJw7E and extract it. It contains almost everything you need. This is not a flashable zip and must be extracted.
Here comes the fun part. Delete the apn-config.XML file in system/ect and replace it with the file from the zip. Make sure to change the properties to first row all boxes checked the next two rows first box checked. Do this for all files being replaced. Look for user name in apn-config.XML. it will say [email protected] cricket.com. Change the MDN with your phone number. Example [email protected]. Replace the 5s with your phone number.
Now delete and replace with the build prop and the MMS.apk in their respective places from the ones in the zip. Make sure once again to change the properties as stated above.
Reboot.
Go to playstore and download offline sim APN database.
Once installed open the app. Click OK when the pro version box comes up. Just states what pro can do.
Now their should be 2 boxes one with numbers one blank. Click the blank box and choose mobipcs. It will come up with an ICS warning stating apns are hidden. Click OK. There will be a box that says go to android APN settings. Click that box. It will take you to the native jb APN setting.
Click on your menu button (bottom right touch button on your phone) and select New APN.
Put this as your new APN.
First box: Cricket
APN : Cricket
Proxy:wap.mycricket.com
Port:8080
User: your [email protected] (replace your number with your 10 digit number.
Password: cricket
MMSC:http://mms.mycricket.com/mycricket/mms.php
Go to APN type and delete the * in the box and make it blank.
Press your menu button again and save APN.
Now the new cricket APN will appear. Select it making sure the bubble beside it is lite up.
Reboot.
MMS should now be working on your Cricket HTC One V with Slimbean. Any questions or help needed just ask.
I take no credit for the MMS.apk. I googled it. If this mms.apk is your work let me know and I will give the proper credit.
If this helped just hit the thanks button.

Lol people are missing out its a great ROM just because it says virgin mobile only doesn't mean it can't be tweaked for cricket....60 - 80% of ROMs for the one v are virgin variants and people tweak all the others to run cricket most want it done for them they don't want to get their nails a lil dirty or risk breakin a nail to attempt to do a little work on their own.

I have to reflash the ROM then try again I think one of the tweak packs I had installed messed up the build.prop when I was editing it.

Hey all. I decided to release the raw files for the Search to Recent mod. I am still working on getting the flashable zip to work, but I've dragged you all on long enough to get this released.
NOTE: Make sure to do a backup of your current ROM. I take no responsibility for what this may do to your phone.
This was built using the Andro ICS repo. I have not tried it on the pure CM9 build, but I would assume it works as Andro is also based on CM9. Additionally, this only rebinds the touchscreen search key. The hardware keyboard search key remains search.
Here are the two files:
android.policy.jar
atmel-touchscreen.kl
To install these files, mount /system through recovery and use adb to push the files to the appropriate locations.
/system/framework/android.policy.jar
/system/usr/keylayout/atmel-touchscreen.kl
Unmount /system, reboot and that is it.
EDIT: Thanks to the wonderful work of gee one, a working flashable zip is now available! (Be sure to give him so "thanks" lovin for helping out) If any issues are encountered, please let me know and I will help out where I can.
Enjoy!
I sent you PMs
Got it. Testing it now and will let you know in the next 10.
Works great! Loving having an actual use for the search button!

Anything come of this?
Still working on it. I've been going back and forth with Powers in PMs about it. My android.policy file is causing a boot loop. I had to take a break on it for the past few days to reconfig my server, but I hope to start working on it again tonight, or this weekend.
Hello. Can you build this patch for andromadus audacious beta 2? for now, it works, device boots, but some menus and stuff linked with android.policy.jar is corrupted. I flashed only .kl file, it makes search button to bring up old-style recents menu - may be useful, too.
Yeah I found this didn't work a few days ago when I upgraded to B2. I never even was able to complete this for the Droid 3. After I got my server back up and running I just haven't had a whole lot of time to sit down and work on it. I don't work my second job this weekend, so maybe I can sit down saturday and knock it out.
thanks for answer =)
Also, is it necessary to patch up android.policy.jar? Is long press of "home" button is being handled in that file?
I tried to find some manuals about android key event handling this in the internets, but i only got .kl\.kcm editing manuals.
It is necessary to patch the android.policy as just changing the kl file brings up the 2.3 app switcher. I would assume that the home long press is handled differently and cannot be bound in the same functions without the file change.
Can u make this for sense 3.0 rom?

Steven How, you can just change your atmel-touchscreen.kl
can anyone make a patch for andromadus? thx
seems that there are bugs flashing the zip in andromadus rom
I'm having issues getting the repo to sync, but I've been working on it.
I keep feeling like I've been letting you all down. If anyone wants to go ahead with this, by all means, please do.

Okay, once I rooted/unlocked my HTC One V, before I even installed a custon ROM, I noticed I now received video messages split into two files both audio/video and majority of the time the split file ends up being bigger in size than the original sent file. This only started happening after unlocking/rooting my phone, and reinstalling a RUU/installing a custom ROM has never fixed the issue, do any of you have this issue at all, or can offer any advice on a fix? It does this in any SMS/MMS app like stock/SMS Pro, but with pro it plays the files in unisome instead of one after the other.
Now along with the unlock came a wipe, and for some reason that wiped out my APN settings, this is were the trouble began, I was able to manually configure my APN settings through finding the settings by doing a Voice Search, as the APN configuration is hidden on my phone. And my MMS works now for sending pics/audio/video, but the video gets split and this all started when the wipe wiped out my APN configuration.

The above may be true, but theres TONS of people helping people here, so it does not hurt to ask if anyone has the same problem, I seen a similar post here about the issue on a different phone two years ago, and PM'ed him but never got a reply on what all he did to fix it...

I havent used CM10 but maybe check your APN settings. What kernel are you using
maybe you also need to flash a (newer) baseband
---------- Post added at 09:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 PM ----------
APNs are only used for internet access. But in order to access the internet, you must be on a mobile network (or WiFi)
What method did you use to get CM10 on your phone? Give us as much detail as you can. It sounds like you need to manually input your APN settings and you should be fine. It happens some times. I know some ROMs wipe mine if I don't reboot between flashes.
Reboot to recovery, do a factory reset, reboot. See if that fixes your issues. :good:

You want the rogers lte one. I've gotten multiples on at&t as well. Then others are for tethering and some to not use late and just hdspa or 3g only. It will usually select the right one

Do you have the propper settings for your apn? Thats the first thing id check.
Settings --> more settings --> mobile networks --> access point names -->
Then select your apn to open its settings.
The 3 most imoprtant things to check are:
Apn : epc.tmobile.com for the regular 4g / tethering or fast.t-mobile.com for lte
Mmsc: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
And finally -
Apn type: default,supl,admin,dun,mms
If the mmsc server isnt set and the apn type doesn't have the mms flag, your picture messaging will not work. Make sure yours has the exact same things. If it does, then I'm at a loss but I would check those first and foremost.
Dont forget to report back and let everyone know if this helped. If so, dont forget the thanks button please

Just to be sure, download this app - http://goo.gl/hCu9A
Open it and make a backup, calling it test. Then copy this to /sdcard/apn/backup
http://db.tt/Hw6VaeAv
Go back to the program and restore the tmobile.xls you copied to the directory. It will be an option on restore.
Reboot and test. Hopefully that gets you up and going. Both apns work with mms ( I just tested). If not theres some serious issues with that rom, your service, or your sim card.

You might want to try a different rom just to test. If you are already on avatar, it shouldn't take long to backup your current system and Install something like jedi master just to test. If it works with jedi master which is a tmobile base, then it's definitely something with avatar not playing nicely. If it still doesn't, well, your phone has deeper issues.
