Actually I guess I could just use the Nexus Cabell with the Note 2 plug and there wouldn't be any difference.

Yes it is fine. The phone itself won't draw any more power than it's supposed to if the plug puts out more.
i interchange my cables and chargers all the time...
sometimes i come across a bad underspec-ed cable that wouldn't work... but usually it's ok... microUSB standard afterall
works on mine, i have n7 and gn2

Hi,
Has anybody heard any news about android 4.1.2 update for EE Note 2 LTE (GT-N7105)? Why Samsung takes such a long time to role out updates is beyond me. N-7105 has already been updated in other markets.
Not heard anything as yet.

Thanks, Samsung is very slow on updates for some weird reason.
I see the update is in kies now. Anyone updated yet? Any issues? I'm holding back just incase there's battery drain with it.

Ok updated via kies to 4.1.2 all good so far, even updated the Note 10.1 for good measure.
Not noticed any drain as yet but it's early days, I'll check back in a week If there is any developing issues.

Thanks. I went ahead and updated at the weekend. Battery seems pretty much on a par with 4.1.1. And that's without doing a factory reset too. So I'm pleased so far.

*sigh*
My dad recently traded his iPhone 5 with an S3 i747M from Rogers Canada plus 200 Cash.
I ran sygic (gps app) and it lagged a lot on his phone compared to my S2 i9100.
Will this mean my dad's S3 will be outdated soon with a weaker GPU at 1280X720 screen (Bad choice Samsung!)?
Mod: please move this to QA as I am not able to make new posts there.

Your dad made the right choice. Now get him off that stock garbage **** and introduce him to some custom ROMs and kernels.
I747 is going to be here for a while.

You see, he is coming from an iPhone 5 (I convinced him) and I downloaded a custom stock ROM for the cool stock looks and functionality. Anyway, here's my S2 screenshot

Hello my friends
I have a Galaxy Nexus phone runs on Android 4.2 Is there a way to increase the strength of the wireless network?
And also is there a way to increase the battery life? Is there a way to detect the health of the battery (Is it time to replace or weakened)?
Thank you

I use an app greenify and it increases battery life immensely

There s no way to increase range of wireless, you can try ak kernel that have better WiFi driver but nothing exceptional. ..
Battery life is related to use, IMHO use app like stamina mode or greenfy is stupid for simple reason: disable data or wireless and force sync is not fix, IMHO don't increase battery life, the only fix is set notification timeout to 1-2 hours and remove stupid app:]

Open up your phone, solder a 6dBi antenna to the wifi antenna.
I like to use Tasker. When my screen is off turn wifi off, wait a minute after the screen has been on to turn back wifi.

Why would you use tasker to do this when this functionality is built into the Os?
