As long as they're for 4.3 they should work.
I'm going to assume because it's unofficial and test, that's why I don't have LTE right now?

Does anyone else notice that the charging light is dimmer than normal? I hope my light isn't dying lol

Its not handling handoff particularly well, at least when I first flashed it. Goes from being on WiFi to nothing, just basic cell signal. Have to airplane mode once or twice, maybe reboot.
EDIT: It can't handle handoffs AT ALL.

this rom is amazin!!! I can't believe more people aren't using it. I am experiencing similar problems with handoffs, a reboot seems to fix it though. Please let me know what I can do to help out with new builds and stuff.
Link to the original thread/dev thread? Looking for screenshots for reference.

So my situation is that I can get signal as long as its not connected to WiFi.
EDIT: After further tinkering it seems like if you wait about 20-30 seconds in airplane modr the LTE will connect once you turn off airplane mode.
Its a little annoying but beggars can't be choosers.

Quick Tips:
◘ Make sure you do a Full Wipe and then flash the ROM.
◘ DO NOT restore data via Titanium Backup. More often than not it will cause stupid issues.
◘ If you have done all that, and still face issues please post a logcat. (Search on how to do that)
◘ For battery related issues, please post a relevant screenshot from an app like Better Battery Stats etc.
No logcat or no screenshot effectively means your issue doesn't exist

Nah. It's known that 4.2.x consumes more battery. I just wonder if any head way has been made to control it better.

I have similar battery life to 4.0 as well. The difference is something along the lines of 20 minutes of screen time. Idle is about the same in my case.
Some early 4.2 builds had a system process that got out of hand. Most if not all builds at this point have that fixed. 4.2 also eats battery for the first hour or so as well, since it tries to download your apps from Play Store. Once you get past that, it evens out to about the same.
thank u all for the new rom! downloading or even opening ur website is very slow here too. just got it downloaded ! it runs awesome for a beta ! Thank You !

Actually battery is amazing on galaxy nexus on 4.2 Roms, you have to factor in that crespo4g batteries are pretty old and diminished if your using the same battery ever since your first purchase of your phone.

I have a hunch that it has more to do with the gnex and above having multiple processors vs the ns4g only having a single processor... I think this one has to work harder for the same tasks that a multi-core system would do with relative ease...
So an example would be a photosphere image... It might take around 3mins for my phone to process that image... The entire time running with the screen on and high frequency... Whereas the gnex might be able to do it in 1-2mins, essentially cutting the time in half and using much less "peak" power...
That's the only thing i can think of on why these phones don't do as well with +4.1... I could be way off but this is what i tell myself and it makes sense lol

What is ChameleonOS?
"Chameleon OS (or ChaOS for short) is a custom Android ROM that gives the user more control than they can experience on any other Android ROM. Starting with a CyanogenMOD base, we customize each piece to give ultimate control while maintaining the simplicity we all love about Android. The most notable feature of ChaOS is the theme engine, which can apply different pieces of themes in a true mix-and-match style. The launcher has been completely overhauled with tons of options that you'd normally need to download a third-party launcher for, such as home screen previews, folder sorting, and folder icon styles. The Messaging app has also had some UI retouches, including messaging bubbles and quick emoji button," (http://www.chameleonos.org).

So far so good, though the Chameleon OS itself doesn't have many themes so you need to use MIUI or the other options they give. Haven't had any random reboots just some force closes. Like that it has 4.2.2 which has many awesome features so will see how that works with the themes. Good job OP in porting this to our phone, thanks.

I'm pretty sure it is kernel related... Coderz .62 and .64 kernels had a fix for the heat. I wish I knew more about it. I think the MIUI rom had the first 3.xxx kernel with the fix in it.
I believe elgin has a pretty firm grasp of the problem, but no time to find the fix and implement it:

its not that simple. last i checked miui was on android version 4.1 point something. The ramdisk needs to be modified even before flashing. and even if that was changed, that's still a completely different kernel.

This ROM is compiled from the latest sources. It is a very snappy ROM; however it does not have as many theming options as ChameleonOS or PAC-man ROM. I have only had this phone for 6 days now, and this is now my second ROM for the device. LiquidSmooth has many features such as Performance Control and Pie Control, but still maintains the "lite" feel to it. If you like what you hear, flash the ROM and please hit the thanks button and perhaps consider donating to myself, Team-Hydra, or Team-Liquid if you really like it

I was listening to music for the past hour and that does not happen. Perhaps you were charging it while you were listening or something, but I doubt the problem is ROM related.
Edit: check your battery drain. If its really fast, for example streaming from Google play music, than that might be the reason its getting hot, although it won't matter if you have headphones in or not. Also maybe your pockets are warm. Sorry that's all the ideas I have.

NEW Build: http://d-h.st/R37
Front facing camera is fixed :good:
ROM is now even lighter, so should be faster
Anything not working, let me know, but now everything should be 100%
Enjoy!!!
Credit for the camera fix goes to krislibaeer for telling me about it

boot animation
First off, THANK YOU for providing us tweakers with another option for our aging phones. Still getting artifacts with boot animation, reflection at top of screen. Again thank you for sharing with us.

That's not an artifact that's just a poorly made bootanimation. If I find a better one, I will include it.

thank you for your great work!
I know that it‘s very impolite to ask,but is it possible that you port the lidroid rom(the best cm10.1 rom i have seen)from i9000 to our glacier?
I have tried,but failed.

Probably not, I hate doing ports, I only like source builds. If they have sources for it than sure. Otherwise only if I suddenly find allot of extra time

Let me know how it goes. It would be nice to verify it on another device.
Ahh darn. Was going to make my own thread. Oh well I'll just keep compiling it for myself. Thanks for taking it over so other people can have some Carbon awesomeness.

Yeah you should be fine. I haven't changed anything and it worked well when I did it. I should have a new build ready later tonight.
I had to do a fresh flash over 10/20 non stop android.phone fc.

Not to step on anyones Toes, but here is a fresh build from late last night with proper APN for data fix. Have yet to have the phone FC and data is stable, been running since last night. I use same sources as Spleef used. I wouldn't flash the NH Kernels, even though i love them too, it makes the builds way too unstable (no offense NH).

You are not stepping on any toes. Sorry I missed the newer APNs, I am still getting up to speed and acclimated. I will make sure the new one is included in tonight's build. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Unfortunately im almost never in a roam area. I'm lucky i have 3g/4g towers everywhere around me. You could let us know if you try it....
I get repeating phone process force closes on both 10-29 and 10-30.

Really strange, I've got better battery than usual, been running good. Here's my battery so far...
Installed the agimax version this evening. LTE speeds are just about normal. Customizations all work. GPS locks quickly and is very stable. WiFi connection is solid and stable. Will put it through the paces over the next couple of days but so far impressed.
