hello XDA. I am looking into using a Note 2 as a media player for a car install, and was hoping some of you may be able to help me with a question ive been researching unsuccessfully. I am interested in the Note 2 since it has the quality wolfson DAC, and love the roms developed here to maximize its potential. Are there any models/carriers where the DAC is not the wolfson? i have choices of a t mobile and a verizon note 2, but wanted to make sure i did not inadvertently purchase a device with an inferior DAC, as samsung is known to use different DACs for different variants of the same device. is one better than the other/ or do all the note 2 have the same wolfson DAC?
thanks a lot. i appreciate the time.

Hey fellow Tab 8 owners! I just replaced my Galaxy Note 1 for the Note 8. Before I did, I ordered an Appradio 3 knowing the original note would sync. My question...Only the Note 1 & 2 are listed as compatible with the Pioneer Appradio 3..They both use MHL to connect...Since the Note 8 Tab uses MHL, as well as being so simalar to the Note 2..Does anyone think my Tab will work? I'm so impressed with the many intelligent people on XDA, hopefully somebody has some insight...:good:

How about anyone with the Note 2 using Appradio? Do you believe the OS is pretty much the same so the tab might work?

I have been stuck between the appradio 2 and 3. Two has arl app which allows foul mirroring. Three uses a different protocol and had no app for full mirroring at the moment. Very interested in results though.

Hi
I know this is not the right place to post this but while there is no dedicated forum may I ask if anyone could confirm if the Galaxy Note 3 (N9000) is equipped witht the Wolfson DAC and supports Apt-X; I could not find the info out of all the news about its release.
Thanks a lot
Beng
I also really want to know this. Super tempted to get it but I am an APT-X fanatic.
Going by previous devices though, the S3, S3 Mini, S4, and Note 2 had APT-X, so lets hope they follow suit.

I'm a longtime Note 2 user. I love this phone. But cameras have advanced so much since its release, I'm considering a newer Note for sharper photos of indoor activity or low-light settings. I'm curious whether the Note 3's enough of a hardware upgrade or if I should spend the extra and get a Note 4.
Obviously Note 7 would have the best camera, but we know that's not an option. Note 5 would be next-best, but I like removable batteries and expandable storage. So, Note 3 or 4.
I can look at comparison videos all day, but it's different with custom ROMs. Can someone share their experiences with a Note 3 camera coming from a Note 2, or for a Note 4 coming from a Note 3?
Is the Note 3 getting too old?
Also, is the Note 3 the only model with an IR blaster? Or just the first?
Any other notable differences?
I don't much mind screen ppi or nits. Mainly looking for everyday-user differences like camera quality, unique features on each model, or anything else you consider important when deciding which to get if I'm coming from a Note 2. Thanks for any answers!
Hi there,
There are threads already established that are devoted to discussions about devices, please read, and if necessary, repost your question in one of these threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.
There are also several other discussion threads that you probably should review to help you. They are What phone do you wish you had? or
The Worst Android Device That You've Ever Had & Why or even this place that talks about The best phone you ever owned.
I will have to close this one. Thanks for understanding.
Hi guys, I've recently adopted an S9. I'm loving it. One of the best Samsung experiences I've had over the years. I moved from an Honor Play. What I was wondering is, like the Honor Play, is it possible to connect 2 bluetooth devices at the same time on the S9? I'm aware of Dual Audio for 2 different speakers, but what I truly want is to connect my GearSport watch and IconX headphones at the same time when they arrive. Is this possible? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Yes this would be possible
of course, you can pair i think 7 or 8 devices
I am Confusing to purchase Samsung Smartphone. Should I purchase Galaxy S10 or Wating for upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11? Which one is best for me. Can You Suggest to me?
The answer that you are looking for is quite broad and your question is quite vague. If you would please elaborate on how you use a phone, your expectations from the next phone and a possible budget, I can provide further info.
How would anyone know which phone is better for you when the phone is question is about 3 months away from being released and all we know are leaks and rumors, no official word on anything...
the upcoming S12 will be better, wait for that instead
If you want or need a headphone jack the S10 is better.

You think the S12? I was gonna suggest Note 12
I would suggest samsung galaxy X
Galaxy s43++ is better
If you want the best of Samsung, then of course wait for the S11, note also that Samsung phones with Exynos chipsets are bad for gaming, if you play games on your phone, then get the Snapdragon version or look for another brand.
