I am getting a new iPod 2 from Dish Network. I'm assuming it's the cheapest model, 16 gb and WiFi only. They sell for 399 or so I think.
What would be my chances of finding someone who would trade me a Nexus 7 for it? Am I dreaming, is that a crazy deal? Is this ipad have value comparable enough to generate interest? Thanks for your response

It's an iPad, it'll fetch you more cash than a Nexus 7. Personally, I'd sell the iPad and go buy whatever you want.
Edit, but hey, if you really wanted to trade, my N7 is three days out the box. Is r the iPad new?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
It's brand new yeah. I'll find out tomorrow when it's arriving, and I'll message you. I'd love to work that out for sure.

iPad 2.. You should be able to get the money for a nexus but I wouldn't expect more than $250 or so, it is pretty old by now.

Oh, an iPod, I thought you said iPad lol
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4
No its an iPad 2. Not an iPod. Ive seen the promotion.
If you like apple, I would sell it and grab a iPad Mini. New models should be announced soon. I heard somewhere they were announcing new iPads this month.
The N7 is what I spent my money on though. The Mini 2 will probably be on par with the new N7. I suspect a high res display and better PPI over current. Probably iPad 3 speeds.

Then no. Why fork out 150?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
HELLLLZ NO! You gotta be crazy to add $150 to the trade.. Maybe like 20 bucks if that lol
Well, keeping in mind the other end paid full price for the nexus from the play store, 380$ after tax, I paid 150 for my gs2, am saving my upgrade which is due now for the end of the year, I don't know, am scratching my head, lol
Am getting tired of flashing, and I really love the early updates on the nexus phones, software updates kills the need to buy a new phone every 6 months or so, am about to pull the trigger guys lol help!!!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Just wait for the next Nexus. Why pay that much for such an old phone? You'll be able to upgrade to the new one for like $50 more.

Terrible deal for you. Sell your S2 for $300, and buy this http://forums.redflagdeals.com/galaxy-nexus-jelly-bean-4-1-1-a-1228759/. all about patiently looking for good deals to come!
Well, I traded the phone only, kept the cash, deal was done with a close friend, so no biggie, so long, sgs2 forums, great developers over here, going to see what is like on the forum downstairs,
Thanks for your feedback folks

Yeah that's crazy. Your friend wanted $150 more. What a great friend lol..glad he was willing to do a straight trade which is a lot more reasonable
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, I actually almost gave him the money, but I started to point out how long the phone had been out, the condition of the phone which is not bad, at the end its all good I just don't want to pay full price for a phone on a contract, I had already bought the Sgs2 when the nexus came out, I had the first nexus and nexus s , so now am back on track lol that's lame but at least I ain't getting an iphone

I love my galaxy nexus. So much in fact i bought an s3 and after a couple of months went back to my nexus.
Is it worth the upgrade/leaving verizon?
Would you do it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The nexus 4 isn't really an upgrade. If you play with one u will see that there really isn't a difference between them. I wouldn't leave vzw for that phone. If I where u I would wait to see what's coming out in the next few months.

Yes. Then order a SIM card from Straight Talk and pay $45 a month for unlimited everything. Including HSPA+.

That's my thoughts if this one dies. As long as the HDMI converter works on them. Haven't researched it yet though.

That galaxy 7" my mom picked to replace hers is doing nicely, I'm not sure it's a huge improvement but it runs well enough and probably lower in price now then it was a few months ago, especially with the first gen n7 coming down to $200 for 32gb. The screen alone would make it a better device then the a100 if nothing else.
OK. Asus memo pad. Its like $100 right now, and it has like a 5340ma battery, I'm all about that! Reportedly they're gonna come out with a new one for $150 though, and the Samsung one has an ir blaster built in, and multiwindow, and since it Samsung there should be a strong development forum to fallback on. Tough call.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Those look good but I'm not too concerned with the root ability ofy tablet, I'm more concerned on what it can do and if its smooth. If I go with the Samsung I'll want to mod the multi window so I can use any app with it though.

I currently have the 16 gb wifi Nexus 7 (2013). As everyone knows the new LTE model was just made available.
Should I buy a T mobile lte hotspot
Or
The lte Nexus model
PS I have a sprint note 2 and my coverage is terrible, so that's why I'm not tethering from this
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'd say the tmobile hotspot would be more useful as you can tether other devices or share the connection out to other family members. However, it is one additional device to carry around. :victory:

I would think it's annoyance but if I'm going to have my Nexus with me I'm going to have a backpack anyway and a smaller hotspot wouldn't be too bad.... Would it? Lol

You'd be surprised. I can palm the N7 with a single hand and it also fits in quite a few of my walking short front pockets (ie. sliding completely in and out of sight). So I'd say a backpack is not a must with the N7.
Definitely not but it just seems as though I always have a backpack so bringing a small additional device wouldn't add any noticeable additional weight
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I would choose the LTE model myself. You should be able to use that as a hotspot to other devices when needed, and the rest of the time you wouldn't have to worry about keeping an extra device charged and watching battery. Just my opinion.

I just wanted to update my post to let you know that there are some conflicting reports on the ability to tether the US version of the LTE Nexus 7, so check that before you make a decision. See the LTE thread in the general section.

Your serious? This is why I hate people sometimes, this phone has been out for less than a week and just cuz you went out and rushed to buy it you expect tons of devs to do the same...SMFH
Devs will come and make roms at their own leisure!
Sent from my note 2 ya bish!
Mybad I'm coming from nexus line I apologize
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That does explain your post as nexus phones are vanilla android and dont have skins to deal with. Just give devs time to acquire this phone as its definetly more expensive to purchase than nexus line.
