Is there a setting in cm6 that I can set the screen orientation upon wake up? Every time I wake my phone up the screen is turned horizontal even though I'm holding my phone vertical.
If theres one thing I like about Samsung's phones is the Fading off/on animations of their phones, like on galaxy tabs, etc. The Evo has this fading animation, but only when you turn on the screen and not when you turn it off.... Is there a way I could get/make/port etc... the fading off lock animations from a galaxy rom?
After I install almost any rom, the screen no longer turns off normally. Theres always a little flash before the display shuts off. At first I thought it was linked to the crt animation, however even when I disable crt and disable the animations from the developers settings, the flash always stays. I believe there was a rom that i installed that didnt have this problem, and im pretty sure that one didnt have a crt animation setting. But I can't really find that rom or any rom without crt animation anymore to test with.
Theres a link to a video where I try to show this. Its hard to actually capture since its all very fast, and Im not too good with cameras. But you could still see it.
The first time is turning it on and off with the default rom that came with the phone -- Display turns off normally, no flash before turning off.
The second is with CM10.2 right after installation -- There is a flash before the screen shuts off, but its hard to see with the crt animation.
The third is also with CM10.2 with crt and animations off -- There is still a flash before the screen turns off (seen best in the 2nd to last instance)
The flash mostly comes from the upper right corner area if that helps.
Its hard to see on video because of the changing in lighting from turning the phone on and off, but its very noticable in person.
How can i fix this, or is this a condition on all phones?
Edit: You can see it a lot better in this video after i turned it off and on with a black background
Anyone else experiencing this on their G3?
It seems to happen when I take a picture or two, then the transition animations turn off by themselves which is really annoying to me.
I have to turn them on in the Developer Options again until I use the camera app
Anyone getting the issue with always on display, where the fingerprint reader does not show up. 2/10 times for me does the finger print reader show up when I turn the screen off. Everything else such as the time, weather, notifications are working correctly. Most of the time if I want to use the finger print reader from the screen being locked is using the power button, double tap to wake, flip to wake. On the latest update.

I had the same problem. Turns out it was from setting Animator duration scale to .5x in Developer options. It appears that setting Window and Transition animation scales to .5x does NOT break the AoD fingerprint reader, so you can keep those at a faster rate.
Temporary fix is to set Animator duration scale back to 1x until Google can fix it.

Thank you for the reply, and that is exactly what I did. Set animator scale to .5x. Will change it back till fix.
Good catch! I wonder what else it breaks and when Google will fix?
