That seems to be the question always with VZW. I am working on porting the AT&T one - and it is very close to building without errors. So hopefully I will have that soon (and it will work):fingers-crossed: until we get source.

Got it to build, however the updater script needs some tweaking...failed. Stay tuned.

I know this is a question thread that I am kind of hijacking...but I feel there isn't a need yet for a specific thread until this thing boots. I am making progress, but I still need to work on the configuration file. I might have to patch the source up to 4.2 as well...

cbinvb's TW ICS build

So who is cbinvb? I'm running the build he posted last night on IRC, and it's awesome. No development thread from him though, and I think he released the best ICS rom I've tried so far.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was your build or not. Was it called "ATT-ICS-Tmo-PORT_2.zip"?
edit: I noticed in your development thread you said that shutdown isn't working? It works fine in this build.

Yeah I'm uploading it now, first upload got messed up. Just comparing the two, they're not identical, but probably from what Racing said, it's probably his rom modified.

I dont believe its racers rom, at a glance of course, havent flashed yet, but Racer's rom is 356mb and this one is 337mb. Unless he modified some things and took it upon himself to release the rom with his name on it. Dont know and not pointing fingers just yet...

Screen rotation is the only bug I've found, and I've been using it all day, setting it up just how I like it.
edit: I also don't have the home button problem people have been having, the No SIM Card issue comes up after a reboot sometimes, rebooting again fixes it though.
Data is working, rotation is still screwy and this looks to indeed be racing's build... Thank you

It came from the VZW variant, which also came from the Int'l i9300 variant...
Looks like I'm going to have to do a version for T-Mobile then....since the versions seems to be so different. I had no idea they'd vary so differently, since they're all running the same software. [Q] Any way to fine-tune volume adjustment?

I'm growing increasingly more disappointed with Android's volume control.. it seems like most of the levels are pretty okay, but once you get towards the middle there's a point where it goes from too quiet to too loud.
How can I solve this issue? More specifically, how can I increase the control I have over my volume output?
You could try Volumizer from the Play Store.
There's a build.prop tweak that lets you decrease the step size between the jumps

It's been a LONG time since I've seen the exact code for it, so it would take some searching
Basically, each time you press the VolUp/VolDown buttons, it goes up by a certain amount, right? This tweak let's you change that to make it smaller, and therefore easier to select the right volume level
So instead of going by steps of 14 units, for example, you can change it to steps of 10, 8, etc

Unfortunately that method is a bit old and the resources referenced are no longer consistent with the process.
Turns out the method I posted is for HTC One only. Just figured that out. Dammit.
Here is another volume mod thread,, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42631958
Sent from my HD2 using xda app-developers app
All three methods posted are exactly the same.
But the "safer, updated" version seems like it is for another device, because we do not have any of those roms and that mod was made specifically for each those roms' frameworks.
The thread I posted says he can make it for all, he even has one made for an S3 CM 10.1 rom already. He says all he needs is you're framework.jar. ROM just needs to be deodexed.

did you follow all of his steps or did you download one has made already? this mod is rom specific and needs to be made with your roms framwork.jar. he's opening post says he'll make it for you if you send him your framwork.jar file. try pm ing him and ask if he'll help or make it for you.

Before anyone asks about jcase's new master key exploit..

I do not think it is possible. I have read that the one 4.2.2 and up and the S4 have been patched (aosp source was patched a while ago). Not sure why those motos have not seeing as they are running 4.2.2.... but who knows. If its possible, jcase knows about it so don't bug him. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I'm only asking because I'm curious, not trying to bug him / you about it. Just wanna read
Pretty sure he tweeted about not using the method on anything besides a Motorola phone.
Well obviously something was a bit easier to get hacked on the Moto phones than the One, but I certainly didnt think the new Moto Line would be rooted that fast either, still cant unlock the bootloader yet right? Ah well, just have to keep waiting
Has anyone said the hell with it and tried it out of curiosity? its reversible via a factory reset it seems if something goes wrong.
