tia
john.
I would probably just go with a travel adapter that you can buy at the airport or virtually every electronics store.
Yeah - thought of that but using a travel adaptor is not ideal on an ongoing basis for me
surely there is somewhere online that is selling these?
Has anyone seen any website offering them - only ones i have seen all have the same pic of the back of the charger where you cant see the pins to tell if its uk/US
would prefer a straight thru to the wall connection for charging if at all possible
thanks....

I would try eBay. Maybe you can get something from Taiwan or any other former UK colony since many of them will use the UK format. But honestly, why would anyone in the US sell a UK adapter for a specific device? That wouldn't sell very much so you still might want to consider something more general.

Thanks again creature
I do realise that noone in US would probably sell these
I was aiming this more towards anyone who may have bought one in US but is using it in UK or anywhere compatible with Uk style 3 pin plugs
Obviously noone has done this - surely I wont be the first......
Ok - I have found a UK site selling replacement charger units but again no pic of the front of the unit to see if its actually three pin
http://www.bmcdigital.co.uk/catalog...-charger-for-motorola-xoom-asm18wchargertri2a
It does list a part number though.
Could I ask two of you nice xoom owners one from US and one from UK to check the part number on your mains charger/adaptor please and post it here
The part numbers I see on the product details is
TEL-PDA-ACC-00622 (seems to be a motorola #)
and
ASM18WCHARGER-TRI2A (seems to be a site specific #)
Thanks you very much for your help
j.
just as a matter of interest - does anyone know if the atrix uses the same mains charger type as the xoom?
The model number on the US power adapter is FMP5632A.
From what I can see on the picture in your link it seems like what you need.
I think the Xoom has a unique charger b/c of the high power requirements. It is also not listed as compatible with the Atrix.
Thanks for your help on this - really appreciate it

anyone know where i can get an Mhl adapter for galaxy s3 in the uk i know there are some online but is there any store
that sell them ??
thanks in advance:angel:
I am considering buying the new Samsung MHL Adapter for my Galaxy Nexus i9025. Question is will it work. I understand the the older MHL adapters built for the Nexus and S2 used a 5 pin layout and are not compatible with S3. However is the new adpater for the S3 that uses an 11 pin layout compatible with older phones like the Nexus?
The exact product code I would like to purchase is EPL-3FHUBEG
.....
No it won't. Samsung switched the pin layout on the GS3 so they could force people to buy their own accessories. Gnex uses the standard pins.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

i believe the 11 design was so you can use otg and mhl at the same time, unlike the nexus and all other 5 pin phones that use mhl
I recently purchased a US galaxy tab pro 8.4. However this was purchased from the usa and i live in the uk. I have got this home and it wont charge at all. It doesnt seem to charge using official leads. Anyone know if there anyway for me to force this to charge?
I have the Canadian variant of the Note II, N7105. My 6-year-old daughter broke the charging port, and I need a replacement. I took the phone apart and pulled out the charging port. It says SGH-I317 Rev 1.0 R.D33(KH) 39 on it. From what I can gather from my research, Rev 1.0 seems to be the most important part. Does it have to say I317 on it? I have found some online that say N7105 on it. Is it okay if I buy that one? I assume it would be compatible. What about T889? I read that it might be compatible as well?
How important is rev 1.0? I am having a heck of a time finding 1.0 online, especially to get it in Canada. Most seem to be 0.7. Does it matter? Do any of you have the same phone as me and you successfully replaced it? If so, which one? This phone was originally from Koodo.
TheCanadian version of the Note 2 was either an sgh-i317m (sgh-i317 on AT&T or sgh-t889(used by Freedom/Wind and T-Mobile USA). The n7105 is the international verson that was sold outside of North America.
Some third-party cables can be hit and miss. I ordered a cheap replacement from Aliexpress for the sgh-i317 and it worked perfectly although I did not make note of the revision #.
