Hi,
I have some texture glitches when playing two games (Temple Run 2, Manuganu) and I don't know if its an incompatibility bug, if my device is defective.. or what can be. I bought my P6 one week ago, so if is just my device, I can change it.
Screenshots (1º, 2º and 3º, from Manuganu, 4º from Temple Run 2) are also attached, as long as I can not post images yet.
My ROM version is the default one from Orange Spain: P6-U06V100R001C109B102. Not rooted.
I've tested with "Normal" mode in power management and in default one. Also tested with and without "Performance Mode" enabled.
This happen after some time playing, but not always.
Both games run fast and smooth, except for that texture glitch that sometimes appears. Also, sometimes fps goes down without reason, and after restarting the game, they run well again.
Can someone tell me if this is normal? Should I return my device? Should I wait for incoming updates?
Thank you very much.

B111 has fixed that bugs? I will try it!
Thank you
After upgrading to B111 from official Huawei download page, it still doing it, at least, with Manuganu.
Manuganu works fine the first time, but if I close the game and open it again, the bug appears. Deleting game data makes Manuganu work fine... first time, then, bug appear again.
With Temple Run 2 is harder to say because it only happens sometimes, not always, so I have to play more time to check if the bug appears under B111.
Any ideas? x.x
Tested on other P6, this time with B112 (OTA update). Same bugs.
Also, I have found other game with same issue: Tiny Thief. But this time, all screen is black, no textures, only black screend and music. On first launch, it works well, but on the second one, it didn't.
Can someone tell me if this bug is solved on lastest updates (china updates)??

Whenever I play any game, the emulator has 'hiccups' where it'll lag on certain points while I'm playing..the hiccups last a few seconds and goes away for a minute or two then comes back...
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the recent releases of tiger arcade?
I heard that this issue comes from the MicroSD card

no is not from microsd as u turn the sound off for the games then games will run smooth and suspect is xperia play original speed (1.0Ghz) is not capable of running most games fullspeed with sound enable.
thanks
Hiccups are bound to happen if you've got a lot of apps that require attention at the same time you are playing.
I had this problem too. I just reinstalled older version.. Updates are big **** whenever the app. ( Black pegasus last update for example, unplayable, hate the updates. )

Yeah I'm aware of that but what bugs me is hiccups happen when they didn't before...
Hey,
I got my N7, 16GB WiFi, 1½ month(s) ago, and it was amazing. I was playing games, like Modern Combat 4, at a super smooth frame rate, I was browsing the web at amazings FPS's, just the general UI was so fluid.
The day I got it, I unlocked, flashed a recovery and rooted. I play the game I mentioned above, MC4, a lot and am quite good at it. I though that it would be a good idea to record what I was doing and show the world! (www.youtube.com/user/StealthGamingAndroid if you want to see)
The game was smooth before, just playing, and was still smooth after. What impressed me was that even while recording, it felt like I still had amazing frames.
About a week or so ago, that stopped. I was getting lag, the game was jittery and making the whole thing unplayable, even when not recording. But it wasn't just the game. The whole UI felt, even though it wasn't terrible, sluggish.
I didn't/haven't changed my setup, regarding ROM, Kernel or Processor Speeds since the day I got it. It is running the version of 4.3 it came with out of the box. (My choosing to keep it on that and not update)
The only things I have done regarding root have been using SCR Pro, the recording software, and using Xposed and Gravitybox.
I do not know what is causing this sudden lag, and how I can fix it. A brief search on Google didn't turn up anything that I could relate to. So I present to you my question.
How do I fix this lag?
I do not mind if it means using root, flashing a new ROM or even a new kernel. (Never flashed a different kernel on all 4 of my devices) Over clocking I also haven't done, but if it means removing the lag, I will consider it.
I am extremely grateful for what ever solutions or suggestions you give me, and will happily look into them.
Thank you for your time reading this, and for helping a confused user out.
Faithfully,
-R
Boot into recovery, clear you caches, boot normally, see if that fixed it, if not...boot into safe mode and see if the problem persists, if that fixed it, it's one or more of your apps, you'll have to either flash to stock and reinstall one at a time, when it starts lagging again you've found the app, or remove one at a time and see when it stops, if the problem still occurs in safe mode, backup and flash back to stock and see if it persist, if it does, maybe it's hardware.

That has fixed some of it, but it still feels choppy. (The wiping of the caches, I mean)

I use an app called Clean Maste. You can get it in the Play Store. It's basically like CC Cleaner on the computer (if you don't have it, get it!). Just clear all the stuff in the junk option EXCEPT obsolete APKs. If you know what you're doing, cleaning in Junk Advanced can help too.
Also, be sure to delete all the apps you don't need, and clear your multitasking often.
For a big performance boost. you can overclock your tablet. First, tell us if the other things work above. If not, PM me and I'll be glad to teach you to overclock

Did you try uninstalling Xposed?
When my tablet lags a little, I usually turn it completely off for a couple minutes. This helps me quite a bit.
This may sound dumb or crazy but you got to remember that it's a computer and turning it off once or twice a week will clear the cobwebs.

Totally agree.
Got my shiny new VS986 home and DL'd Mortal Kombat X as a test since it's somewhat painful on the VS985, and...
It won't run. It gets past the intro, starts the splash then drops back to the app tray.
Tried clearing cache, data, un and reinstalling. Same crash. Can someone confirm?

I haven't installed it yet, but...
could it be a compatibility issue with android 5.1?
Same here, notified the developer, they are looking into it, so a new version should be on its way.
Yea, I am having a lot of trouble with Injustice on this phone. It runs terribly. I know that it hasn't been great since Lollipop, but my Moto X 2014 on 5.1 ran it pretty smoothly. This is very near unplayable.
Dungeon Hunter 5 is almost unplayable. Constant lag/stutters and freezing. I'm starting to think it's poor coding on LG's part. I hope not but I'm worried.
If your games are running badly, but running, try turning off "game optimizer".

Same experience here with MKX. I have DH5, but haven't tried yet. Gaming optimization has been off Since day 1, so that's not it. I am also VS986.

Weird because after the update I crashed one time then it worked for awhile. I beat the entire Raiden challenge with it over a few hours, start / stop. Then it started crashing again in the same spot.
I'm having issues with a few of the games I play cashing randomly on start.
Dungeon Hunter 5 is unplayable. Did anyone try nomone resolution changer? I tried it, I have a rooted/unlocked EU H815. The app isnt really working (needs root). I have been trying to set the values but they dont stick.

I tried to see if it would run on my devce (US991) but I sadly can not even get it to install from the market currently. I can get up to about 1.4gb downloaded (usually less than a minute remaining on the download) and then I will get an error and the app download will cancel itself out.....I assume this is an issue with the market (or internet) however and not some weird negative glitch in the app itself.
(Granted, I have NEVER experienced this issue with any other apps from the Market, but I have also never downloaded anything even close to this size either)

Working solution!!!
Hello all!
Just wanted to pass along the workaround I have found for getting Mortal Kombat X to play on the LG G4. The problem lies with the way their boot process handles the network connection. Just follow these simple steps to get into the game:
1) Turn on Airplane Mode.
2) Start the MKX game app.
3) Play through tutorial until you get to main menu.
4) Turn off Airplane Mode, and wait until your connections are re-established.
5) Go back to game and to Profile & log in with your WB Play account.
6) This will load your save game if you had one, and you can continue to play with no problems.
Unfortunately, for now, you will still need to toggle Airplane Mode on/off when loading the game. Once your first play session after the tutorial you will see a "Connection Error" screen pop up during the loading process. When you see that, just turn off Airplane Mode, then hit Retry after your connection is re-established. It's a mild inconvenience, but not bad if you really want to play MKX.
I have already notified WB customer support of the problem & my work around. Hopefully they'll try to come up with a proper fix. In the mean time, enjoy!
Nice find! Confirmed working on T-Mobile variant.

It seems that the today update fixed the bug.
New user out there if you still experience in ability to play this game here is how i managed to make it work.
1. Download an older apk version of mortal kombat x. (1.2 or something as long as its not the latest)
2. Play it in airplane mode ( because its not from playstore you may experience bad graphics)
3. Assuming it has booted to tutorial with bad graphics, exit then turn on wifi to update it. Then proceed.
Hope it works for those who have problems.
Thanks
i am a new user of g4 and i have problem with mortal kombat x. after intro it crushes!!!
Hi,
I've been here for a while now but this is my first post ever.
I'm having a really weird issue: when i first bought the phone, it works flawlessly and there was nothing to complain about. However after updated to Android 8, the phone's performance drops noticeably. Applications like Facebook or Instagram always freeze after a few minutes surfing (the lag will last for a few seconds and come back to normal, and after a while it's lag again).
Even in a low-end game like The Walking Dead Season 1, sometimes the FPS drops dramatically. Never happened in Android 7 before.
I tried reset the phone, clear cache and data and stuff like that but it just doesn't work.
Switching to Lineage OS is a good option, the performance there is really fast. But the gamepad and the camera don't work stably to i switched back.
Can someone help me?
The phone is not rooted or anything like that btw.
Thanks.
Perfectly fine here, try factory-resetting your smartphone.
No problem here.
Try full format your phone using recovery.
I'm starting to see big issues with response lag (especially when typing). Anyone have a solution for this issue? I have Oreo factory on my Z2.
Thanks,
smithmal
Hi all!
After OneUI 2.1 update, I get graphical lags. Not very frequently but regularly (~ 5 to 10 times a day maybe). In games, apps or system doesn't matter. It hangs a moment, then its fine. Its kind of a smooth lag somehow, don't know how to describe. As if the system is fine and fast, just the graphics hang a fraction of a second. Anyone else with this issue? I read something about graphics driver updated in last version, is it true? Could these be the issue? But then I would't be alone I assume.
I want to avoid factory reset if possible. Thanks for your thoughts and stay healthy!
What power mode are you using?

I was playing Empires and Puzzles mostly. But also happened in system settings during scrolling. Somehow, since I did a second wipe of cache partition yesterday it seems fixed. Hopefully.
Clear cache partition?
Yes did that. First time didnt help but second time seems to work so far.

Looks like it's happening on Snapdragon variants as well.
Just updated two days ago.
Mobile PUBG is lagging.
I have same problems. when i scrolling screen it's lagging. Before the update i have not any problems.
Model: G973F
I did have the same issue after the update but my phone had completely settled now and back to normal. Verizon 10+ flashed with u1 firmware
i see a lag on fingerprint animation only
And I thought I was the only 1...
N975f flash thru Odin one UI 2.1 yesterday...noticed animations not that smooth...kinda lagging and fp animation slow too...wipe cache many times Liao...continue observing see how
I have the same problem with exynos in France since 2.1
Even after factory reset
The animation of opening applications to change and sometimes it crashes. It's less smooth.
Fingerprint animation is the only thing bothering me, seems choppy or just low fps in general
