[Q] HTC Desire black screen after boot then standby - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just recently the screen of my htc desire (amoled screen, one of the first ones bought back in april 2010) does not turn back again on after going into standby by either being idle or pushing the power button once; that is unless i turn off the phone by the screen touches I memorized and pulling the battery for 10 seconds.
In recovery and reboot using the reboot option loses the screen as well; rebooting from fastboot however keeps the screen on. After the screen has gone dark, it is possible to start the phone back, but the screen will remain black however the touchscreen will still be responsive..
I already tried flashing another radio, another image (had the htc dev image), and cyanogenmod's latest stable. All the same. have to remove the battery and wait ten seconds before the screen works again.
I factory reset a few times with the different images and I already removed the SD card, and the SIM card, no luck.
Any other ideas? Of course this device is out of warranty..

screen issues

using k's rom 1.30b and the phone took a nifty spill. now i have severe screen alignment issues. plus when i turn off my device it does not shut the screen off completly. I can still see the time that was on the screen prior.
ok, so it gets worse. now when the phone boots up there is no display. the htc boot image doesn't show. its just a white screen.

DHD suddenly will not turn on - multiple vibrations on HTC logo, nothing happens

It was working completely fine for nearly 2 and a half years now and it turned off on its own last night, and since then just will not turn on. I've tried holding volume down when turning it on, doesn't do anything. It does the single vibration upon boot like usual, but then a second later does about 5 vibrations really quickly and just will not do anything from there.
<Sorry for my bad English>....
It don't power on or it is blocking at the htc logo? if it block at the htc logo try to download the original PD98IMG.zip and install the original software....
I can't even get into fastboot or anything though
Maybe you need a new battery
try to connect via usb.

[Q] Somethings happened my phone?

Last night everything was quite allright with my marvel. Then i slept. Morning when i woke up i tried to unlock the phone to check the time. But screen didn't show up. I tried several times but it didn't. So i removed the battery and started the phone. It took long time to boot (about 5 minutes on white htc screen). When it turned on touch screen didn't work. But hardware keys (volume, power) were working. I can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery (it also took long time to boot.) My rom was alquez's Cyanagenmod 7.2. I flashed it to another rom (Cyanagenmod 10.1). But the problem isn't solved. Phone starts desipite of long time but i can't do anything because of the touch screen doesn't work. Also i realized that proximity sensor always lids up (red). The light never off. Additionally phone powers on and loops into white htc screen when connected the charger. When connected charger while powered on the red notification light don't light up and charging very slow.

[Q] One X reboot problem

My HTC One X started rebooting a month ago, first a couple of times, but now too many times to count. The first reboot happens when I press the power button to unlock the phone and pull up the weather widget to unlock it - it goes to HTC logo. After that it won't turn on, it's stuck on HTC logo. After a couple forced reboots (by holding the power button), it eventually turns on, but with setup guide (it performed factory reset during the reboots). I took it to HTC, they don't know how to fix it other than replacing the motherboard, but that's too expensive (the phone is not under warranty). Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?

[Q] Bricked help/ideas

In short, the phone is stuck in a bootloop unlike any I've read about before. All on its own, it constantly makes the bootup vibration pattern but it does not boot up. The screen does not light up, it is completely black (backlight is off as well). It is sitting on my desk doing the vibrate patter (bzzz-bz). Then 40 seconds later, again, (bzzz-bz).
If I could see the screen, I imagine it is going past the 1st Asus Logo screen, then trying to load the OS (2nd Asus Logo), but crashing and restarting.
This happened after I flashed fastboot (droidboot), recovery, and boot. All flashed successfully, so I went into Recovery and started to "wipe cache". It was taking too long so I thought it froze and forced a restart. After that, I never saw the screen light up again.
Any ideas as to what is going on? The phone has no damage (at least physically ).
Yes, wiping cache takes a long time you have to wait it out, forcing reboot before it finishes will result in bootlooped, that is covered in many many threads, you will need to reflash entire Rom from bootloader.
Problem is, I cannot get into bootloader. Its still doing the vibrate cycle I described, it's been 8 hours already.
Try holding the power button and volume up toll you get 2 vibrates then release power, if that does not help it sounds like your power button is stuck in depressed mode
Stuck in depressed mode? But I am able to press it, and I hear it click, and click back up. The "spring" seems to be working fine.
