ive read that "some" sd cards brands are not compatible with some "sd devices" such as slow transfers etc etc. its possible that your particular sd card brand is not that fully compatible with the P6.
but if you really want to check, back up the files in your SD card and try formatting that SD card and then try again if it still transfers slowly, if yes, then its just that particular sd card is not fully compatible with the p6. :highfive:

Oh man, not sure if ur understanding me here lol, im saying its probably not "fully" compatible, like the ultra feature of that card might not be compatible with the p6 driver. Obviously its compatible because it read the card, but the features "might" not be.

Well if u think about it the issue will still be there, this is just a simple case that the p6 doesnt like ur sd card, not sure if firmware updates might fix it in the future. This is the reason i stay away from the "special" types of class 10 cards, and i just use normal types of class 10's.

Personally I purchased the Sandisk 32GB card but both cards should work fine. Check out this thread for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150369
I would go with sandisk just make sure it is authentic
sandisk it is
Sandisk. Mine behaves like a Class6+ card, and is able to deal with everything the phone asks. Great value, would buy it again.
Definitely a Sandisk. I bought a 32gb Class 4 from eBay. Handles everything I throw at it with ease. Authentic and real card too! c:
I am getting a transcend card for less price compared to Sandisk.

Well it really depends on how you plan to use your card. Do you plan to use it for storage only, or a mixture of storage / application use.
If you plan to use the card purely for storage, then I would suggest you purchase a class 10 card from any vendor for the faster read speeds.
However, if you plan to use the card for storage / application use, then I say go for the Sandisk card. It's been shown to provide the best in term of random write speeds which is essential.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a CrystalDiskMark report for the Transcend 32GB class 4 card so I can't comment on that.
Hope this helps.

Better read speed around 20MB/s
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15269669
Sandisk performs better even at the same class.
Been using a Sandisk 32GB ( Original ) and it performs fine, transfer speed is a little low only going as high as ~6MB/s but mostly 5MB/s sustained.
I use it to store HD movies, first time though it stutters when playing something its a 3.87GB file and it jitters at fixed locations of the movie, I placed the same copy in the internal sd and I dont get the same jitters.. Im not sure if its the card not fast enough or its a sign of the card going bad.. other movies with a lower file size like 3.3GB plays w/o any stuttering at all.

Hi guys, I'm a new owner of the GS2 (got it 6 days ago) and I would also like to ask about micro sd cards.
In particular, anyone having bad experience with ebay orders? Like fake products (ordering a class 6 card and getting class 4)?
Was thinking about 16gb class 6 sandisk, I don't think that I need 32gigs. Or should I go for 32? I mean, I really can't imagine filling all that space...
Thanks in advance!

Ordering from Ebay nets you mostly fake cards as in the size you ordered turns out to be extremely less than what you purchased. Like a 16gb card turning out to be only a 2gb card.
I have read, that not all the phones support both micro sd and micro sdhc card. I want to buy a new card, just wanted to know if my phone would support 16 gb micro sdhc class 10 card or not. thank you

bro most memory card is sdhc....its just SD high Capacity...if u have more than 4 gb...all are sdhc i think..
And i really dont know why people are using class 10 cards for phones, i think its for dslr and video cameras which require fast writing speed. IMO class 6 is enough for phones. (P.S : Correct me if i am wrong.)
Sent from my C2004 using Tapatalk
Almost all smartphones these days support upto 32 GB. SDHC means Secure Digital High Capacity, and @ansebovi you are right all memory cards with a memory of 4GB-32GB are SDHC. And our phone will support all SDHC cards. What our phone doesnt support is SDXC cards, its SD Xtended Capacity, used for 64GB+ cards.
@SK:) Its upto you to use the memory card of your choice. If you can afford Class 10 SD cards then its fine, I use a Class 4 SD as its enough for my use. But if you plan on swapping(which in this phone's case,is not really needed) then higher the class the better it gets.....

because i use memory card for swapping, saving app in sd than internal sd....internal sd speed is high...
so to compensate than speed we may need class 10,,..since i m using more than 100apps which are stored in sd..if i use class 6...my phone will lag...since it cant read from sd with high speed.....
price of 32gb class 10 is 1500rs
price of 32gb class 6 is 1350rs
with just 150rs u can get 2xspeed...
now understand?

Yes it will after swapping your external memory becomes internal and vice-versa and then you will be able to install games directly to your swapped internal memory without using folder mount or gl2sd.

Yes dude. 64GB will work almost all devices. (maybe 128, 256...etc)
Even very-lower end phones and basic phones.
But couldn't get its full potential.
I mean we have to use it under FAT32 file system.
I am using windows on my PC, so I don't know about Linux & ext partitions.
If your handset doesn't shows an option to format it, you could use third party partition tools on your PC or even your handset itself.
hi all...
exuse me if my english is bad.
Im planning to buy Samsung S2 I9100note 3 and i want to store heavy 3d games(like N.O.V.A 3,GTA san andreas,Asphalt 8...etc)but the internal storage isn't enough for me,so im gonna buying 32Gb sdcard to move the games data with [Directory bind]app,i know the sdcard r/w speed is slower than internal storage so it might effect the performance of gaming(i guess),so which SDCARD should i buy?and does the sdcard r/w speed matters for gaming(while playing games on sdcard not the internal storage)???
Note:im not gonna buy it online cuz i don't own credit card .
Im just hoping not breaking the forum rules.
Regards ,

WTF Perforance Range: *(Max capacity is only 16GB) **(Quite sure you won't get these speeds on the SII or any other android device)

Adding some:
SDSDQU-064G-U46A - should be or should have been the monster but most pre March 2013 can become corrupted or defective as XC are exFat and SII (if not on CM rom) is using FAT32 and you should reformat it to FAT32 (do not use WIndows system format!!!).
Personal story on that one in a very short manner: It just died on me 2 days ago after being used from the September 2012... I have no remedy for it, it's simply dead. I'm in the middle of a dispute with Amazon and from Monday with SanDisk too so to get reimbursed if they're not able to guarantee the subst. card will be from a new batch and with an upgraded ROM chip!
Said that, I have an old class 4 (I think, but unsure as it's from my wife's old Nokia XM5800) 4GB Nokia card mounted now and 720P videos are registering without a stutter, I haven't tried 1080P.
Screens: On the left is a SanDisk Ultra Mobile SDXC class 10 UHS1 64GB and on the right is a crappy Nokia class 4 4GB 2008 card, notice the (not) "great" difference??? Last screen is showing my current layout of the distributed memory on my SGS2. Remark: No apps/games are moved to any other memory but everything is installed on main and I have a total of 254 installed apps and 76 of preinstalled phone apps - as reported by Clean Master. That include 3 SatNav apps with respective maps.

So, at the end of the day: Even many new cards are classified as ultra giga fast you won't be able to see that speed on SGS2.
Advice: Go only for genuine products of a well known brands and retailers you can really make sense of your warranty if it breaks. I guess Pro class HC of 32GB would suffice and choice is vast. Samsung is selling 32GB Plus series at around 22-25 EUR in Europe. I just ordered a Samsung MB-MGBGB/EU Pro 32GB class 10 UHS-1 for 34 EUR so I have recording capacity for the New Year's Eve and night, until I solve the issue with SanDisk and get substitution or reimbursement.
Cheers.

Be sure it starts with SDSDQUA (see that A there, it's important) if you're onto SDXC 64GB version of SanDisk, otherwise you're risking (like most of us did). These are exFAT preformated so bear that in mind. On the other hand if you're getting the 32GB ver (same product code start like I indicated for the bigger one), they're all SDHC, FAT32 preformated, so you should be fine.
See here: http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/microsd/ultra-class10-for-android/
If not... opt for something else. I'm satisfied (for now) with Samsung 32GB Pro card I took to replace a dead Sandisk 64GB. It tested at 15,10MB/s write and 18,89MB/s read speed on the phone.

Dunno if the upper replies to your question, otherwise elaborate a bit more.

Exfat is not compatible on most Rom/kernels I know that stock Roms can read it. If you are using a AOSP based Rom you might need DorimqnX kernel

I am using sandisk ultra class 10 from last 3 years.
Earlier used in Galaxy Note & now with Redmi.
Working fine. Not problem as such.
Just FYI: don't go by read wrote benchmark that company show, because really scenario is much different from their test condition. It depends on hardware, software etc.

I have samsung evo 16gb class 10 card. it works perfectly. Don't know about 32gb version. As far as uhs is concerned our device won't be able to take advantage of it(that means speed). I have been using for 2 months no problem at all. Even sandisk uhs enabled card works on our device. but i am happy with samsung. please do format your card with fat 32 format and then format within your phone and then use the card. hope this helps
Go for it ... I'm using 32 GB evo ... work great without any problem .

I have the Samsung 64GB EVO SDXC and it works fine.
Thank Caebron, since my post i buy a evo
I was also interested in the Zenfone 2's support for SDXC cards. I did a quick search and found that a guy had picked up this SanDisk 128 GB card and it worked on his Zenfone 5, and then on his Zenfone 2. Just as I was about to order it, I saw there was a newer version, so opted for that instead. Well, I'm kicking myself now, because while it does detect in my phone, periodically it unmounts and remounts again. Ugh. I don't think I trust it to use in installing Cyanogenmod on my phone, nor trust it for anything else I guess.
Hopefully I can return the one I got, and I guess I'm gonna order the previous/older version (still 128 GB).
Has anyone else had any luck with 128 GB SDXC cards?
I use a Micro SDXC 64gb (Sandisk, the same as the first post in this threat) and work brilliant. Very fast and good. Dont know about 128gb but read that some have tried and work good also.
I use a 128gb Samsung EVO in my Zenphone 2 with no trouble.
Never been unmounted by itself or had restarts because of the sd card.
A thing to remember is that though 99% are good, unfortunately there will always be the odd lemon out there that doesn't work properly and leaves a sour taste in your mouth when it fails...
I have the Samsung EVO+ 128GB since 2 weeks in my ZF2.
SuperZen 2.20.40.90 and everything works perfect and very fast.
tapatalked
64gb Sandisk works good for me.

I ended up just going with a Samsung 64GB EVO Class 10 Micro SDXC. It works great; have had no problems at all.

I've got exactly same problem with same type of card.
Latest OTA update fix that problem in 100%. No more issue with 128GB memory card

I picked up a Samsung Evo 128gb card from Ebay. I have formatted it and am having problems with it. A lot of the mp4s that I had on the internal storage will not play when copied onto the micro sd card. I am using mx player and when I click on the video I want to watch, I get this message," Can't play this file". When I open settings and then storage, the card is recognized and shows 125gb. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could try? all of the mp4s I am using worked on the phone and my N7 previously. I am thinking I might have to reformat the card. I used a usb adapter and not a card adapter, so I might have to pick one up. Thanks.

Do a quick test on the net for a windows app called H2Test. It will tell you exactly how big your sd card really is and if you have a fake. Might be as you got it off ebay, its a simple thing for guys to make the card say it is actually bigger than it is and rip you off. I tend to steer clear of ebay sd cards unless the seller has been there for years and doesn't want to loose their account, even then they could've been hacked. They look pretty close too but you can tell the difference side by side with a real sd card.
If it is real, try formatting in the phone but be advised that the zenfone 2 does format FAT32 giving a 4gb limit to file size.

I did the test as you advised and it turns out that it was in fact a crap card. I messaged the seller, Ebay and Paypal yesterday. I had my refund a couple of hours later. today I picked up an Adata 64 gb class 10 card from NCIX. It works great.

Those old Ebay sd cards dtrike again... They're generally cheap but also generally crap...
Glad you got it sorted...
The 64 gb sd card should work in exFAT format but if you want the stock recovery to recognise it then you need it formatted FAT32...
Hello,
On ZE551ML 4gb ram is possible use a microSDXC 64GB Class 10, UHS-II U3?
thanks for answer.

Hi! i am going to get the asus zenfone 2 ze551ml 4gb ram model with the intel atom Z3580 (2.3ghz), As you were talking about format in exFAT.. my question is, i want to see some movies on the asus, at 1080p resolution, so the movies have the same resolution BUT some files are more than 4gb... Do you know what its the better thing to do? change the format? I don't like to have compatibility issues.
I forgot to mention that the sdhc card is Sandisk 32GB class 10 and the asus is the 16gb model
Cheers!

If you want 1080p movies larger than 4gb then you'll need to format to exFAT... Not 100% sure if windows will do that as most of my cards now are 64gb+...
I have no compatibility issues with these cards, but I have a spare 32gb for flashing stock when needed...
