I apologize for not researching and searching this forum as thus far all my note 3 answers and advice has originated from here. Can someone remind me on how to disable T mobile bloat via a non rooted Note 3 please?
Many thanks

Go to settings and then application manager. Go to all apps, scroll to the app you don't want and select the "Turn off" button.

Hi Team,
Is there any way I can lock or hide my apps in such a way that it can't be uninstall.
There are apps in the play store through which you can lock & hide apps but you can uninstall the apps through task manager or through soft key menu option.
Any advice? I have Samsung galaxy note 2
Thanks in advance.

Protect application with one of good SW from play store, I am using smart application protector since > 2 yrs and really nice
Then add protector application to device administration (to make it uninstallable)
Then protect
setting
play store
task manager
Installer
along with application you want to protect.
Thanks for you reply.... This application is good but all the apps which I have locked through this application can be uninstall by using the soft key in th menu..... by adding this in device administration I can't uninstall this app but can uninstall all the other apps which are locked using this app. Any advice for this?

With Soft key means?
Menu - uninstall, or long pressing on application isn't?
If you lock installer then it should ask password.
You have to protect all applications said in previous msg which can uninstall application.

In Note2, if you long press any app then you can move the app shortcut to home screen can't uninstall.
Soft key is the key which is at the left of the home button. If you touch the left soft key when you are in menu, you will find a list of options in which there is an option called uninstall when you select that option, a - sign pop up in each of the third party app. And when you touch that sign the selected third party app will uninstall.
There are two way we can resove this I guess :
1. If we can disable the function of uninstall from the soft key in a way that it ask for password as well or
2. We can have one app through we can hide apps and we can add the hiding app in device administration as well so no one can uninstall that app.

Got it
Anyway third party launcher will work, bcoz it will not have option to uninstall from menu.
Right now i am using Next launcher and having option to long press to uninstall and selecting it, pop up for password.
Thanks!
Do you know any app through which I can hide my apps and I can add the app in device administration.

You can't see CCSWE app manager in drwawer?
I have it in drawer and opening it will show you list of installed application and you can hide it from there.
I have uninstalled the app n install again. Now its showing but when I open it ask to confirm root privileges.
My phone is not rooted yet.

Are you on a TouchWiz ROM or AOSP ROM? Not sure how on TouchWiz, but I know it can be changed in AOSP ROMS. I've failed to make it work harder/or weaker on TouchWiz ROMS.
This thread has info on how to do it on AOSP, but like I've said can't get it working on TouchWiz.

Hit Menu > Settings > and hit "My Device" (or "Device") tab. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Power Saver(ing)" and make sure the checkbox for Haptic Feedback is off.

I was having a lot of issues with the home button waking my phone while my phone was in my pocket and it was driving me crazy so I figured out how to disable it. And I figured some other note 3 users might want to do the same. So here it is.
You must have root
And app like root explorer
Go to root, system, usr, keylayout, scroll down to the file gpio-keys.kl, Mount to R/W and open with text editor. You'll see the key layout for wake selections on the one listed as HOME delete the word wake and all the spaces between it, now hit menu and save and exit.

If you can't view the pictures on the mobile app just open in a browser and you should be able to see them fine.
Once that's done reboot the phone and the home button won't wake the device anymore.
Enjoy

Your "before" is coming up invalid, and "after" is so small...it looks like a blur after zooming in. Please upload new pics if you can, this is something worth trying out. Thank you.
this.......is...my BOOM stick!!!
I noticed that, I will get on my computer and fix the pictures.

This can also be done by installing exposed framework and the wanam app from the market. Many other customization as well. I have found that absolutely every single settings work within the wanam app except the multi window setting.

Thanks for mentioning the exposed framework. It does work amazing if you want to add a lot of changes. but if you just need the button disabled, it is easy to edit those 3 wake commands.
What ever works best.

No but if you open your text messages, click menu button, then settings, then the top right option for more settings, the unchecked screen on. That will turn that off for you.

Hi I got a simple question and was wondering if there's a simple solution for this...
Is there an app where I can assign data profile where if I launch facebook (an example) it would use wifi and when I kill fb, it'll go back to mobile data?
Yes, this can be done easily with tasker. Check it out.

If you are referring to the softkey navigation keys, give this a try.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712472868
Install it, then open and select your choice (supersu will ask for root access, so be sure to grant it).

I think those icons are located in framework-res.apk. Not 100% sure though.
