CRT Screen-Off for the GSIII

Hey guys, one of my buddies bought a GS3 but he seems to be really jealous of the CRT Screen-Off animation that I have on my GNex. Is there any way to install it on his S3 ?

It doesn't appear to be working on the SGS3. It's a Samsung issue.

still no working solution yet on stock sammy rom. only way to get it on ur s3 would be to flash CM/aokp and their derivatives.

Flash a paranoidandroid or cm9 or some aopk rom and your friend will have the CRT effect.
Ηopefully devs bring it to samsung's roms..

Same here, tried v23 Omega...unfortunately can't support...once JB can support I'll go for it....

Crt off effect comes default checkrom v5. Try that

Install the app "screen off and lock" there are several effect for screen off.

Dl xposed installer and tweakbox. Make sure his phone is rooted.

In Screen off and lock the effects work only if you tap an icon, not with normal screen off.

Don't work on jellybean roms.

Hi,
Do i understand it right, you need this on a JB rom?
'cause i only know it so far from Omegas ICS roms, there is a package for the CRT effects in his Omega Files Kitchen you can install with CWM. it works here on a GSG3 with omegas 13 rom.
haven't tried the JB series though, want to wait 'till JB is officially out an omega has cleared a few of the last problems.

Edit: I'm running paranoid android on cm10 and it alr comes with it. Anw it is also a great ROM with great developers Not promoting whatsoever but guess you can try it out.

crt-off was working on LI8 using Jkays mod. However, on LIB it is no longer working and JKay has to fix it.

[MOD] Android 4.3 / 4.2.2 Quick Settings & Lockscreen Widgets Mods

QUICK SETTINGS MOD​
This mod enhances the functionality of existing Quick Settings Tiles in Android 4.3 and 4.2 and adds new ones as well.
Features:
- Press to directly toggle Wifi and long press to access Wifi settings menu
- Press to directly toggle Mobile Data and long press to access Mobile Data settings menu
- Press to directly toggle BT and long press to access BT settings menu
- Persistent GPS Tile: Press to toggle GPS and long press to access Location settings menu
- Add a sh1t load of tiles (See screenshot)
- Add Brightness & Volume Seekbars (Swipe on the tile to switch seekbars)
- Hide Alarm tile
- 3 or 4 columns
- Auto flip to tiles panel when there are no notifications or when swiped from right 10% of screen
- Control Panel application to show/hide Tiles
- Reorder the tiles by enabling them in the order you want them to be placed (first enabled toggle will be placed first etc.)
This mod SHOULD work on all De-Odexed AOSP Android 4.3 and 4.2.2 ROMs.

Works great. This is what stock should have been. Great work.

Cant remember which ROM im using but its one of the AOSP deodexed ones. Broke my lockscreen widgets and my Google Now (keeps asking for me to turn location access on even though it is on)
Otherwise it works great! Nice work.

But im using a Gsm Gnex? why would i go into a verizon thread??? Thank you mod for fetching this to everyone else with a gnex if you had not made this thread i would have not seen it

It really does work on GSM ROM. But I met a problem that I described in Verizon thread, when I flashed again with this mod after trying another SystemUI.apk which screwed up, nothing could be go back well.
Finally I got this back after I wiped everything and flashed back again to stock deodexed JB 4.2 ROM.
There is only two files,SystemUI.apk and quicksetting.apk, I am very confused about my problem.

Also doesnt play nice with that newest navbar dpi mod for 4.2. Im using the 32dpi and my back button has gone back to normal size, but still confined to within the 32dpi size...if that makes any sense.

It seems that you has the same of my problem.
Try go back to clean stock deodexed rom （Ndroid everything ),reboot system and go to recovery, wipe dalvik cache and cache after flashing this mod, then reboot. It does work.

Nobody has had the same problem as me with Google Now?

Bigxies is a clean stock deodexed rom I always wipe etc just can't understand why system ui is going crazy

I know bigxie deodexed rom is clean stock. I mean you could try to flash bigxie rom again to initialize system. I faced this problem and fixed by this method.

REQUEST xperia z feel(icons) on stock rom

Hello everyone i was looking in a lot of threads for theming my grand to xperia z i love the icons and everything else only one thing helped that is ballis theme,some icons like phone,camera are themed also settings and gallery but i want the whole launcher flashed the launcher its not working tried several times failure can anybody help???

Why not try just themeing whichever launcher you like the most.
Like for example, this theme is for go launcher and most icons are themed

If you want literally everything themed, from settings to messaging, audio you need CM10.1 themes because they cover a LOT of things like framework, systemUI, phone, icons etc

I can't comment on performance of Go launcher, i personally don't use anything except Next Launcher. it's smooth, fast and the themes apply beautifully on the icons.
There are several icon packs specific to each launcher but yea really thorough icon packs are hard to come by. For actual full themeing you need a ROM based on that or go for CM, because CM is known for themeing and customizing. It's dev heaven

And about proper development, it's really not easy to port CRT to samsung, it takes a lot of time and analyzing of the code. It used to be a lot easier, just had to change a piece of code in bools.xml but in samsung code it's different now.
But other than that, we have great devs, for custom ROMs, stock and CM who are making all their ROMs stable and fast. Specially with the CM stable now it's only a matter of time before we get more custom ROMs
EDIT : I'm not sure if you checked this one already but my friend uses this launcher and says it's stable and great as far as Xperia themeing goes

I tried it brother aint working i troed flashing home base non xperia devices 5.0 and also widget and wallpaper pack it crashes xperia home,,,and v4.0 doesn't even show xperia home im using philz recovery

I'm on CM can't really tell you step by step but from what I read the xperia home is supposed to work over a launcher like nova or apex. it's running smooth on grand according to my friend so don't know what to tell you.
EDIT: yea i think icon packs are included in one of the zips

Cmon bro read the steps carefully,
Instructions
For Non-Xperia Devices & Xperia devices that is using non-Xperia firmware's
Read everything in the OP & the download post before doing anything !
Install a home like Apex or nova from google play then take a CWM backup(to avoid any boot loops at all)
Flash the Xperia_Z_home_V5.0_Home_Base_NON_Xperia_Devices_Th ilinaC.zip via CWM.
Reboot to android,now wait 1 minute & reboot back to CWM.
Now flash the Xperia_Z_home_V5.00_Widget_Pack_NON_Xperia_Devices__ThilinaC.zip via CWM.
Now choose & flash any mod & wallpaper zip that suits your resolution.
Boot back to android and enjoy

DBZo07's guide is simply a share of an old version of this. All you need to do is follow the steps right

I did it but for grand dpi should be set to 200 the launcher crashes which is not mentioned thr in the thread and also in op but it doesn't theme the icons icons are same:thumbup:

Just about all custom roms either have this feature or can easily add this feature.

Any of them are on TW roms? I need wifi calling and only touchwiz has them.
Is there a guide to add volume rocker wake hack for tw roms? Or a tw rom with this option. I am on newest wicked v8 and i could not get it to work

Have you tried one of the Xposed module? Some of them have Vol Burton wake option, which one I don't know as I don't use it.
Long ago I remember editing an xml in SystemUI.apk. I'll have to search since it was long ago.

Advanced Power Menu Sense 5.5 Android 4.4

Currently using Insert Coin and I've noticed that every KK ROM I've used has an abridged APM menu.
The full compliment of reboot options are there but it's missing the mobile network, volume profiles, and screenshot toggles.
Does anyone know why, have access to the full version compatible with KK or know how to modify the android.policy.jar file to add these features? I know a bit of smali and am willing to team up.
