Hello everyone i was looking in a lot of threads for theming my grand to xperia z i love the icons and everything else only one thing helped that is ballis theme,some icons like phone,camera are themed also settings and gallery but i want the whole launcher flashed the launcher its not working tried several times failure can anybody help???

Why not try just themeing whichever launcher you like the most.
Like for example, this theme is for go launcher and most icons are themed

If you want literally everything themed, from settings to messaging, audio you need CM10.1 themes because they cover a LOT of things like framework, systemUI, phone, icons etc

I am on stock 4.2.2 brother and afaik go launcher hangs a lot the best launchers i feel are nova and tw but on the priority i love touchwiz just for the accuweather widget i find it very classy and rare so i flashed ballis theme it works for sme parts it also themed my ui like gallery and settings i hve a lil touch of xperia z but i want the icons on stock nt possible may be

I can't comment on performance of Go launcher, i personally don't use anything except Next Launcher. it's smooth, fast and the themes apply beautifully on the icons.
There are several icon packs specific to each launcher but yea really thorough icon packs are hard to come by. For actual full themeing you need a ROM based on that or go for CM, because CM is known for themeing and customizing. It's dev heaven

And about proper development, it's really not easy to port CRT to samsung, it takes a lot of time and analyzing of the code. It used to be a lot easier, just had to change a piece of code in bools.xml but in samsung code it's different now.
But other than that, we have great devs, for custom ROMs, stock and CM who are making all their ROMs stable and fast. Specially with the CM stable now it's only a matter of time before we get more custom ROMs
EDIT : I'm not sure if you checked this one already but my friend uses this launcher and says it's stable and great as far as Xperia themeing goes

I'm on CM can't really tell you step by step but from what I read the xperia home is supposed to work over a launcher like nova or apex. it's running smooth on grand according to my friend so don't know what to tell you.
EDIT: yea i think icon packs are included in one of the zips

Cmon bro read the steps carefully,
Instructions
For Non-Xperia Devices & Xperia devices that is using non-Xperia firmware's
Read everything in the OP & the download post before doing anything !
Install a home like Apex or nova from google play then take a CWM backup(to avoid any boot loops at all)
Flash the Xperia_Z_home_V5.0_Home_Base_NON_Xperia_Devices_Th ilinaC.zip via CWM.
Reboot to android,now wait 1 minute & reboot back to CWM.
Now flash the Xperia_Z_home_V5.00_Widget_Pack_NON_Xperia_Devices__ThilinaC.zip via CWM.
Now choose & flash any mod & wallpaper zip that suits your resolution.
Boot back to android and enjoy

DBZo07's guide is simply a share of an old version of this. All you need to do is follow the steps right
I did it but for grand dpi should be set to 200 the launcher crashes which is not mentioned thr in the thread and also in op but it doesn't theme the icons icons are same:thumbup:

Themes can be ported, quite easily in fact. Find some themes you like and I will port them for you.
There wont be many ports but plenty of new themes coming...
Its a little early for this thread...
You cant even flash a theme on stock SGS 2 yet..

Thanks for the offer... other poster you r wrong... you don't need custom Roman for themes or modified framework. Here is a framework from sgs i stock rom.. I would like the transparent notification bar and battery and wifi and silent/ speaker and GPS icons, 3g etc. from this framework in my sgs III.
check the modification times for all icons in res/drawable-hdpi for the list of icons/pngs.. that i would like integrated into the sgs ii stock rom.. thanks again.

I am just going by what the OP posted in his first post but I would say the theme and galaxy s3 addons. I am pretty satisfied with the ROM I am running but if others want to run his ROM it doesn't hurt me.

I'd hit that if its stable
I run evo 2 and that's how mine looks. Just go to themes and apps section and you can get the sgs3 s voice, tw launcher, the icons from sgs3, beats audio, ans the media sounds. Put that with a v6 supercharger, 3g turbo, kick ass kernalizer and die hard battery calibrator tied into toxics new theme and you got one hell of a good looking rom.

ROM is running very well for me. I replaced the MMS with AOSP MMS, and I'd like to do the same with the dialer.
Smooth and fast, no force closes yet for me. Only bug I've found is that the phone hangs on a restart or shutdown. No biggie. I just hold the power button for 10 seconds.

Pretty nice port. I like xperia launcher but it seems to lag a little bit. It might be my base rom of xylon. I am not sure.

Btw, I think ThilinaC have a modded HS which removes the theme option in Xperia Launcher, so it doesn't lead to FCs. I think it will be great to implement it while the theme engine doesnt get ported. Also, the visualizer not working could be because of a missing library. I can't recall the name of the file now, but I used to have it working on every port of Xperia apps I've messed with.

you are using stock rom, which doesnt support theme manager, thats why you dont have the sony theme and icons.
also, sony select is in the buggy list.
Hello all.
I have my Xperia S for one month now and I am becoming more and more frustrated with the frequent lags and slowness of the system in general.
On the same day I bought it, I discovered that I was with a locked bootloader and from then on, despite my attempts to improve the system by rooting and trying several Roms I am about to give up hope.
I am now with KA25 ROM but already tried XZXperience 2 and Turbo ROM. From all of these I must say that sooner or later the system becomes laggy and starts to have strangely large access times to some actions or apps.
I notice this in the contacts app a lot, in the messaging app, on the in-call and after call screens, slow loading times while performing normal tasks, like in the album scrolling and accessing images, hiccups and annoying sounds within the Walkman app. Don't know where to even start or stop.
Sometimes I feel that it must be something related to ICS but I would like to have your opinion on these issues.
Also, I am having thoughts about going back to basics and just factory reset the whole phone. Would this clean all of the "debris" the rooting and appliance of several Roms could have done to the phone?
How would I do this? Just flashing with flashtool a clean stock image?
Any advice or any second thoughts, or even the sharing of similar experiences would be great and I would be grateful.

Thanks for the feedback. When you mention tweaks what do you precisely mean? Because I have tried some tools like Pimp my ROM which state to have entropy generators and other speed tweaks but up until now it is pretty much of the same...
However I must agree that waiting for Jelly Bean is the most straightforward solution however I am surprised that a good device like Xperia S has this difficulty dealing with ICS or any usual tasks.
I came from an HTC Sensation XE and with ICS ROMS these issues were not so frequent.
However and I must address this in the topic I have been restoring the apps from ROM manager when changing ROM. Would this have any influence in the short term to the system stability and general speed?

The latest Jellybean leak , shatters all the problems you mentioned (which i had too ) , and works flawlessly , multitasking have never been this smooth before, just wait for the official version from sony (you have a locked bootloader device , right? )

Here's what i did,hope i can help you with smoothness.First of all clean flash your stock ftf to remove all tweaks.After that flash the seeder zip file in cwm(search for it in forum).No other tweaks should be there except the touch screen pressure in system-user-idc set it to .001.Now install Mr.Nice guy app in playstore or from blackmart.Download the latest xperia launcher v 2.05b (set its transparency of app drawer to 70%,app drawer size 6*5).Now in mr.nice guy app set this xperia launcher priority to high. Thats it now you will have a very smooth rom.Not to mention you can always install the sony widgets for this launcher

Set the windows & transition scale to .5.Ask if any doubt arise.Youll be more than satisfied.One more thing do not swipe mr.nice guy app from recents after setting the priority & also do not change priority of any other except for launcher

Thanks for the clarification. Nice to understand these things.
Regarding your advices I am only having trouble with Mr. Nice Guy app as it is a paid one and reviews are not very convincing.
However I am having up until now a very smoother experience, nevertheless I am considering changing the launcher as this one is not allowing any changes with the icons and also my favourite widget (Walkman) still does not appear.

Hi all I couldnt find any roms thats pure xperia s xperiance with out extra stuffs or addons added by yourself .. Like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796428 so my question.. Can some of u devs port the whole xperia s rom ? Pure stock xperia S without settings shortcut in systemui etc etc etc.. Pure stock S rom like the above mentioned link I would like to port it myself or even theme the stock neo/arc Rom but I'm not good in theming and porting stuffs :/
And everyone would use that Rom for sure I would be really happy cause my mum use this Rom on her old x10i and she's really happy and I must say I'm hit jealous haha .. But would be great

Hahaha I don't have the money I'm honest and I'm happy with my neo I don't need more speed or else just want the UI but I've successfully themed and got all xperia S and some xperia Go apps and everything work without problem no bugs and really smooth .. Even booting takes 15-20 sec
