[Q] Looking for the most battery efficient ROM - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Greets.
Pretty much as the title says. The last costum ROM I was running was CM9, since then I've been running stock because I am using it as a dev device primarily. Now I've got another one with a cracked touch so I'm using that one for dev purposes.
Lately tho my main one seems to be draining my battery way to fast - esspecially when mobile data is on (which is pretty much all the time). It used to go for a solid day or a day and a half with data on but now it dies in about 5-6 hours.
So I decided to go back to costum roms now that I don't need a clean device anymore. Which would you pps say that is the most battery efficient costum rom out there? CM, Paranoidandroid, any other? Or better yet which kernel is best in battery efficiency?
Cheers for the answers

Mod Edit
Best ROMS/kernels are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.

[Q] (kernel) battery saver

What would you say is the best battery saving kernel? I need to go a days worth of battery , and I use my phone heavily.
I use jd mod 102310.
I'm currently testing kings cfs#8 but its dying fast why? I just loaded the rom after a full charge.
How long will the battery life start to kick in?
Please help me.
Advice is needed.

I may be fairly new, but I'm pretty sure this should be up in the Q&A Section, no?
Anyhow, I guess it all depends, not all EVO's are made the same... Experimenting and tons of testing is the failsafe route. If there were a single, uniform easy-peasy kernel that allows the user to save battery life by just flashing a Kernel, then I guess there wouldn't be much fun in development anymore, no?
Personally, I got the best battery life from the Fresh 3.3.0.1 ROM and KingxKlik's Kernel #11 CFS, but I switched to CM6.1 and used the CMSnap 7.6 Kernel and got a decent 8 hours of heavy usage.
Sorry answer so vaguely, but it's from my noggin and experience (so far) wit XDA-Forums

He knows. Check his post history. He's always starting new threads featuring stupid questions in the dev forum.

Battery saving, stable Custom ROM for daily use

Most battery saving, stable Custom ROM for daily use
Hello!
This is my first here, but i have been reading in this forum for quite a while and I'm pretty sure you experts here can help me.
In general I am really insterested in the whole android stuff, coding apps and trying new modifications.
But now i am looking for a stable Custom ROM, i can use in daily routine and where i dont have worry about crashes and that stuff. I want a stable one because i just dont have the time to flash another one every day or apply a patch..
Another thing is battery life, i have customized my stock rom to last for 1 and a half day, with moderate phone use. But I think with custom roms, the xperia s should be capable of doing more.
My Bootloader is unlocked and the rom should be ics or jelly bean. If there is a stable rom, with high battery life and an experimental JB, id choose the stable ICS.
So please guys what are your recommendations?
A BIg thank in advance
DOUBLEMAD
If you have Jelly Bean where did you got it?
CM10 from FXP. It's excellent. Look it up on the development forum and see if it's for you .
I doubt you'd get much more than a day and a half battery usage with any ROM though

[Q] Which ROM is the best for me?

Hi,
I would like to install a custom ROM (+ root my phone). Now I'm using the stock Jelly Bean but I think that it drains a lot of battery (one charge lasts in about 10 hours and I just stream music via TuneIn + 20 mins Ingress and I think that isnt too much and phone should endure more).
I'm searching for a good ROM with great stability a performance. The main requirement is the battery life. Also the shoud run on a JB (4.1 or 4.2). I found CM 10.1 but is it convenient enough for me?
Thanks for your advices
I think is OrDroid
However, moderators don't like this gener of thread...
Ordroid is apparantly THE best for Battery Life.
Also give Blade ROM a go, VERY LIGHT ROM therefor easy on battery.
Those 2 are brilliant for battery, ViperX not so good for battery, but great for customisation.
PS - This thread will be closed, this isn't a question that can necessarily be answered, its personal preference based on the way YOU use YOUR phone.
Oh, I am sorry about that but I don't know where should I ask.
You are recommending me a Sense ROMs but what if I want original Android? Is there any which meets with my requirements?
Moderator update,
This thread is closed. These type of questions are hard to answer as a rom will work differently for each person using it. Best thing to do is to try different ones for your self

[Q] Longest Battery Life rom

I have been flashing roms on my phones since my very first android phone. Just going to get a dirt-cheap refurbished Xperia S, and I am planning to use this phone when I am in army for my conscription. (Yes, I know it's sad. )
So I heard that the standard Xperia S rom do not have the best battery life for a smartphone, so I would need my Xperia S to do the following:
1. I will be shutting off my phone during my training. Will only be using it at about night time (about an hour or 2 at the most.). But I may forget to turn it off. So I hope to have a good standby time.
2. Hopefully by switching on and off, I can last for about 2 weeks in a single charge (sounds like a hard task for a smartphone.)
3. I don't mind under-clocking and under-volting the phone to further stretch my battery life. But it still must be stable and generally smooth (gaming performance can be compromised.)
4. Obviously, with my cellular radio, WiFi, and all other stuff intact (don't mind if my camera is dropped to 720p though.)
So tl;dr, I need a good Xperia S rom/kernel that is able to last through my grueling schedule. Hope that I can obtain some useful advices. Thanks a lot.
As per XDA rule, do not ask questions about which ROM is best or Best ROM for Battery life. Otherwise MODs will close such threads without any further delay.
And As ApriliaM3 mentioned also -
Read rather than post, that's my tip... There's no such thing as a best or smoothest ROM. Check the responses here but also check the OP of the different ROMs, decide on 2 or 3 and try them for yourself. It's certainly not something that you need to create a new thread to accomplish.

I am not asking for the best. I just need some roms that are targeted to have a better battery life than stock rom. Because there are so many roms, that I have no idea which one have battery life as their main objective.

[Q] Battery Life

Im wondering if anybody here has any recommendations on how to get the best battery life. Such as what kernel/rom combo can consistently get you over 3 hours of screen on time? or any other secret tips?
It's been covered ad nauseum and nothing is secret. Do a search of the forum and you'll get the answers that you seek, save for what's the best rom/kernel... there is no correct answer for that one since everyone's situation and hardware is different. Read a few threads in the applicable development forum for your device and take a few roms and kernels for test drives to see which gives you the combination of performance and battery life that you can live with.
A pretty popular efficient Rom/Kernel would be Carbon Rom paired with AK Kernel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2237928
One of favorites my would have to be Miui 4.11 running Lean Kernel.
Anything paired with AK becomes awesome IMO.
I get pretty good battery on PA+AK, and Purity+AK and Slim+AK
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.
