I got the T-Mobile Note 3 today, all of the gesture features seem to be working as designed. The only place I haven't been able to notice it working is with the default Internet browser that came with the phone. Waving between tabs/scrolling up and down the page... I have ensured the features are on. I've been able to test everything but that it seems. I also do not see the notification hand icon when my browser is open.
Edit: I notice under the Air Browse settings "Internet" is not listed as a supported application. Gallery, My Music, Music on lock screen and S Note is however. Is this the same for others?
Yes, for some reason it was taken out of the note 3.

Has anyone else experienced an out of focus play magazines? Each new page is a bit blurry until you tap on the page, which then brings just that page into focus.

Nope. Magazines look just fine here.
Have you downloaded the mags or are you streaming ? And if streaming you're doing it via 3G or Wi-Fi ?
Restart the nexus. I had that sort of problem and a reboot fixed it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I had/have the same issue. Got the solution on another post, there's a drop down at the top (tap near top once you open magazine) that puts it into "view text" mode and gets much crisper.
I just noticed it too. Not a big deal since you just have to tap on the page, but I wonder if its all of them or just some of them have the issue? Im not even sure if my magazines are downloaded or not from the play store, or if its just streaming like a video, Ill have to check...
Edit: actually mine werent downloaded, but it does the same thing anyway. It doesnt do it with books though
I too have focus problems
The magazines definitely have a "focus" bug. You actually need to tap twice -- once to render the image so it's legible and again so the page list at the bottom disappears. It quickly gets annoying and I'm surprised more people haven't noticed this. I contacted Google about it but I received a cut-n-paste response on how to operate the reader. It's definitely a software bug that can easily be remedied.
Just my opinion, but for me a 7 inch tablet is too small for magazines. If you fit one page, the text is too small to read.
Absolutely perfect for books.
Judging from the sample magazines, they are wall - to - wall ads anyway.
Have not tried comics - how do they look?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Its thankfully only magazines on the Google play app, if you try Zinio it is fine. I wish they would just update the app and do whatever Zinio did to make it fine

The folks at XBMC just released their newest version 12.0 "Frodo" Beta 2, and it's working great on our Galaxy Note 2. I though I'll share it with you guys, especially those who familiar with XBMC. Anyone interested can download the apk here http://xbmc.org/download/

This is awesome. With HDMI out, I now have a portable Media center. No need to run it off of my PC.

Awesome. Great catch! My only issue with it is that it doesn't seem to want to detect the S-pen. For instance, when I was adding my media paths took out the s-pen to tap the folders and nothing. No screen tap detection. Anyone else having that issue?
Also, it took me a second to locate my external SD. Selecting external media actually takes you to the internal "sdcard" I had to go root filesystem, storage, extsdcard. My first Samsung device (been a HTC guy since the blue angel) so perhaps this is the norm but throwing that out there for those who may not know.
I can confirm that s-pen doesn't work with this app. But nonetheless, its still a great program. Since this app is still in beta, it could only get better.

This is pretty nice, and I like how it basically makes your Note 2 look like a media center. Well organized and easy navigation.

In case you didn't find it- it's all in the setup...
For anyone who may not know xbmc stands for:
X-Box Media Center (of which it was(/is?) originally a port)
There are tons of add-ons you can install. Getting it fully setup can become an on-going evolution.
By hooking your device up to your TV & running this app you can essentially cancel your cable subscription and replace it with xbmc
There are also some additional skins & add-ons which can be found & downloaded elsewhere with a regular browser and installed from within the app (meaning: you can't get to everything that is truly available for this app from within it, although there's plenty available there...)

I just updated to RC3. For the first time I can stream the Sumo Basho (tournament) live on my android device. This is a big deal for me. I have been fiddling with this for about a year.
XBMC is awesome! Will definely buy this when it hits the play Store.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
If anyone is interested. If you download navi-x add on. You can stream movies from anywhere.
Heres the link
https://code.google.com/p/navi-x/downloads/list
Basically go to system in xbmc, then add ons, install zip, find the navix zip file/install it. Next go to programs, tap navix and enjoy.

Just curious. I see very few reasons to use this feature. I just hold home for to seconds and hop back and forth. Or copy and paste. What do you guys love it for?

Is it too late to modify the topic before it's flooded with tons of useless pics showing 2 apps running? No offense, but it's an idea as pointless as posting home screens or telling which color phone you bought.
Perhaps we would all be helped by elaborating on, "how have you gotten the most use or productivity using mw"

I find it makes it easier to copy text from an app (like browser) into an SMS/email etc without switching back and forth. Don't use it a lot but when i do use it, it's very useful and works very well.
For me it solves the problem of YouTube shutting down whenever the app is not in use. I listen to a lot of music there and many videos aren't even videos but just images with the audio playing. Now I fire up youtube in 1 section and open the browser or whatever else in the other and maiximize its size.
I use it while doing Google chat with people while also Web browsing.

I tried enabling multi-window to use with any apps but it's not working. Anyway I'd use it for a lot of multi-tasking, like watching a Netflix documentary and taking notes, or playing a game and watching a video, etc. Mostly media/texting.
Ditto on LastPass.

Since currents got taken down and replaced by new stand are there any alternatives out there that are similar to currents? I liked how it sorts your subscription by categories and you can access the categories by swiping in from the left and once in a category if you swipe from the right you can access different subscriptions... Anything out there that does this?

im another looking for a Currents replacement. I loved Currents it was perfect for what i want! I have tried, Feedly, Greader, Flipbook, rss reader, they all suck! I just want something that looks good and more importantly allows me to categorize my feeds! none of them let me do this.. If i want to read about android stuff i go to my android feeds, if i want car, i car to all my car feeds etc.. Will have a look at 360 too.. hepe its good.
