How do I get a shortcut to Dropbox on my home screen?
The app came pr-installed and I've updated it through Play store but the only way I can open it is to go the the play store and search for Dropbox then I get the option to open or uninstall
There is a widget but that just links to a certain folder.
There isn't Dropbox on your launcher app drawer? Try checking if any app has been hidden from your drawer by pressing menu on your drawer screen and selecting the appropriate option

I just finished installing CM7 and i have launcher pro installed too but i can't find a way to make a shortcut to access the dialer because the phone icon always goes to contacts and i haven't been able to find a way to access my dialer to make a shortcut.
Should be an app called "Phone" in the app list.
Long press on home screen > shortcuts > applications, scroll down to phone.
^^What he said also.
If you open the app "Phone" in the app drawer, where does it take you? If it takes you to the dialer, just open the app drawer, long press the phone icon and drag it to your homescreen. Then long press again and drag to the location you want it in the dock.
download Dialer1 from market for cm7
Couldn't find that app and btw ppl the application "phone" directs me to my contacts and not the dialer so i'm still trying to find a solution.
anyone? i can't access my dialer through the phone app because it always opens contacts first which gets annoying when you want a quick shorcut.

Hi All,
how to open the preferences again after disabling the " action on tap " ?
Thanks in advance,
Just launch the Minimalistic Text app from the app drawer and the main page will have all your widgets and access to all their settings.

Dude,
That's not the APP DRAWER you're opening... Looks like it's a long press on the menu bar which does the history items that you can return to that are saved.
the App drawer is accessed from your home screen, and usually the dotted square icon. It all depends on what launcher you're using.
don't worry, nothing is, or has been "duplicated"
I'm using an unbranded firmware (10i) and it doesn't come with QSlide and neither is it available in the Update Centre.
Where can I get it?
I cant find anything to do with QSlide in system/app or system/priv~app, any other location or apk name?

It's the function that lets certain apps pop-out such as messaging or the tasks app etc.
It has a little icon on the app that lets you make it pop-out but it's not on any of the unbranded firmwares that I've seen.
Is it activated in your quick settings menu? Go to edit and tick it's check box to activate.

ok, all the apps are enabled in qslide settings but messaging app doesn't have the icon to activate it.
Neither does phone/file manager.
however, if I disable them all, the calendar/phone apps still have the option.
Weird.
Hi there
Whenever I install an app a new page gets created and the shortcut for app goes on that page, even though the three pages/screens already have a lot of space left.
Is there a setting somewhere which would stop adding the shortcut after creating a new screen.
Launcher and all settings are factory based with original Samsung firmware.
Thank you for your time.
Go to home settings and untick "Add apps to home screen". That way whenever you install a new app, no shortcut is created. If you still want to have a shortcut made but limited to adding to current screens instead of creating a new page, I have no idea on that.

I know how to disable, what I'm looking for is how to get shortcuts on current page.
