My buddy with a note had the same error so it's not just us.

Just checked with a friend who has a Stock Galaxy S3 on Verizon and he is getting similar errors as well.

Same here in Nexus 4,
i think their server is down

Same here. I thought something was wrong on my end. Glad to see that's not the case.

Working fine for me

Working fine for me now.

Perhaps we will be seeing an update?

Nope, been downloading stuff all day no issues

My HTC One wasn't working until just a few minutes ago. However my nexus 10 worked the whole time...
Resetting caches and clearing data on various google apps didn't immediately fix it either. Although I suppose it did work 30 minutes after the resets...

It's back up for me now too. Since the Play Store was only down from about 2pm to 5pm Mountain Time, and this thread doesn't serve for much purpose ( abeit those who will search the forums tomorrow for any explanation for the errors being caused from earlier today), should I delete this forum after tomorrow night? I've scoured Twitter and Reddit and am surprised not a lot of people are talking about it. If it was Apple, it would be all over the news.

There was a droid-life story that there were app update and download issues.

I don't see why we would need this thread after the issue was resolved.

I get it every time..
Seems like xda needs new servers
I got it trying to open this thread to say how much I am getting it.
I must be one of the luckly ones as i have never had this problem, i am sure their is a reason for this, and someone with the know, will have an answer and solution for you.
We're testing out new infrastructure and had to tune some of our limits. This error should be eliminated now. Let me know if anyone is still receiving an over limit error.
i am getting it a lot
i got it just a min back.
It's all for a good cause guys. Just bear with us, and hit the refresh button a few times eh? :good:
Got no probs today!

I'm not sure if this is the same error you guys are getting, but I keep getting this one (on both Firefox and Chrome) when I visit huge threads; in the screenshot, I was trying to visit the thread for Resurrection Remix for Samsung Galaxy S2. Is there any way to get around this?
I'm not currently seeing an internal server error on this page. Do you still see one?

I've been getting a couple in the last 2 hour-ish.
Mostly when entering topics, when reloading the device forum, it works normally.
wrong thread.
I get it almost everyday, it's no biggie.

Google Play Movies not working

Hey all, since I rooted and installed bonestock I've been getting errors when playing content on google play movies.
Specifically I'm getting error 31 - "there was a problem while playing, touch to retry". The movies won't even start, it's very disappointing considering I love consuming media on the One. Anyone else had this problem or figured out a workaround?

I've been away from flashing ROM's until recently, and unless I'm mistaken, you CANNOT use Google Play Movies on a rooted phone.

wuuuuut really? Man I was thinking about buying one recently but since you said that forget it lol
I get the same error. However, casting to Chromecast on TV from the phone still works so it's not a huge deal. I've read that the error happens on non-rooted phones too, so hopefully Google and/or HTC will fix this.
I ended up calling Google support and they gave me a full refund on a TV series I had purchased. Apparently they are working on a fix for the app, but could not give me an estimated fix date.
It happened to me as well when I installed 1.2. I got an error upon setting the phone up that said I was missing Google Services. I restored stock and reflashed 1.2 and the issue didn't arise again.

Not true. Use play movies on Bonestock 1.2 all the time.

I've been getting error 31 with Google Play Movies since I rooted my HTC One as well. The first time it happened about 15 minutes into a rented movie. It won't play it or anything else since then. When it happened the first time, I was on the stock ROM. Now I'm on Ecliptic-One Inverted and it's still giving me the error. FWIW I contacted Google and they said the phone was not compatible. I'm not buying that because it worked before I rooted. I'm willing to try Bonestock if it works, but I don't see what the difference would be since they're both based off of the stock HTC Sense.

I have been getting it the past couple days. I cleared my cache and 8 hrs no message. I am on the latest update from the play store. Stock firmware
Scratch that just started happening again
Happening to me since the update during last week. This morning (about 10am GMT 16th nov) another update was available. Installed it with faith, but to no avail sadly. Still happening, with almost every app. Shockingly this shows how far it roots itself into the system doesn't it?

What update are you getting? As far as I know the SM-900T has not received an OTA yet.
Just started happening to me just now, and Google+ won't open at all anymore. Weird. I've been having trouble with Google Play Services acting funny lately, so I assume it's related to the latest update of that (4.0.33). Only other issue I am having, and it isn't really an issue, is that Google Settings app icon keeps turning grey instead of green. Seems to work fine though.
I just updated to a newer version of Google + via the play store. I am no longer having this issue now.
The version I have currently is 4.2.3.56698342, released on play store this saturday just gone (16th), and this is the latest version on there. It's still giving major grief. I can't so much as delete a gallery photo, open a map, anything, without a ten second hang, followed by the unfortunately stopped message.

Did you try clearing the cache. I was having this a lot too. Since clearing cache and updating I have not had this issue happen at all for the last few days

Yes tried that a few times. I notice on the play store several of the comments are from s3 users as well as s4, yet a friend of mine with an s3 has had no issues at all.
Very odd.

Play Store / Google Wallet Problems

I'm having a strange problem, and I'm really hoping someone might have an answer, because it's driving me crazy...
I'm not able to buy anything through the Play Store (including in-app purchases). Every time I try to it tells me "This payment method has been declined", regardless of what method I choose (Play Store credit, Google Wallet, Bill to carrier, and 4 valid cards I have saved). I can't even 'purchase' free items (ie. free music tracks).
I'm also having an issue with the Google Wallet app, in that I can't add funds. Every time I try, regardless of how I try to add them (tried 3 valid cards), it tells me I cannot send money with Google Wallet.
I'm running Echoe v6 (international ROM), and everything was working fine, until yesterday. I made a full backup in TWRP, flashed a couple other ROMs I wanted to try, and finally did a full wipe and restored the TWRP backup I had made. Ever since restoring I've been having these problems, though everything else is working exactly how it was prior to backing up/restoring.
I've tried clearing data/cache for both Play Store and Wallet, deleted and re-added my credit cards on a PC, and still nothing. If anyone has ANY ideas or suggestions, they would be GREATLY appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't think anything I did fixed it. I'm thinking it was some sort of issue with my account on Google's end, that ended up resolving itself.
I had spent hours messing with it, finally got so pissed off/frustrated that I turned the phone off, plugged it in, and did some work on my laptop. When I came back to the phone about 4 hours later, it was working again. During that time, I went to the Google Wallet site from my Palm and deleted a few old, unused cards from it, but I don't think that had anything to do with the problems I was having.
I wish I could offer you more help, but I can't. Good luck though!

Thanks anyway man. Yeah this issue has been frustrating me for a good couple of weeks now. I don't really buy much on the play store but now that i do want to purchase something it is just pissing me off. I think I'm going to contact Google see if they can help or something.

I'm having this problem too, says my card is declined when trying to add money to my Google Wallet. Just called the bank, they don't have anything showing my card being rejected, so it looks like it may be a problem on Google's end
