I don't think you can download the playstation apps with custom software. I think you need stock 2.3.4. Can anyone verify?
CM7 does not use any of the Sony software that is necessary to the PlayStation store. You must be on a rom that is SE based. CM7 will not work with the touchpads either

Might explain it lol
I'm pretty certain that it was still there after I flashed CM7 though :S
I can still access the Crash Bandicoot game and play it though....
Guess I'll just use fpse instead
Thanks for the help anyway guys

I have xperia arc LT15i device.
Installed ics (nordic) 562 offical firmware.
I am download http://www.playstation.com/pss/store/en.html
PlayStation®pocket (Version1.1.2.0.0, 1.07MB) and
PlayStation®Store (Version1.2.0, 2.91MB)
ps pocket and ps store not install.
Hey everyone,
i have a rooted xperia play r800i and i was wondering if there are some intructions on how to install ics on my phone with a locked bootloader?
thanks if you respond!!!
Short answer: you can't flash ICS with the bootloader locked.
Workaround: however some people say you can use the ICS rom of a Xperia Neo L because is basicly a Xperia Play without the gamepad, but with its rom the touchpads and the camera of the Xperia Play don't work.
You probably won't be able to get ICS on a locked bootoader (except maybe Neo L), because it requires a different kernel. To get a different kernel, you'll have to unlock your bootloader, but seeing as you have a R800i, it shouldn't be too difficult.
Just unlock your bootloader.

Hi, it's my first time rooting android and after a while I think I'm gonna have to ask. I have an Xperia S (LT26i) running GB 4.0.4 Build 6.1.A.2.55. Yesterday I managed to unlock the bootloader but I have no idea about how to start rooting it. I did however try the Bin4ry's root exploit but it just "runs forever", is there any way you could help me with this? (like, suitable for noobs you know..) Thanks!

Hello every body,
I heard that the Xperia SL is just an overclocked Xperia S and if it's true is it possible to flash the ftf file, kernel...etc of the SL on S
Thanks
(sorry for my bad English)

Don't know about kernel ( don't want to take a chance ) but the stock rom works fine on Xperia S. This rom is a flashable zip of Xperia SL's 6.1.A.2.55's rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2159310
By flashing the above rom, your phone will be recognized as Xperia SL LT26ii and NOT Xperia S LT26i.:good::good:
Thank you verry much

Well since the phone is recignosed as SL by SUS and pc companion, woldnt it be logical that SUS flash firmware and kernel of SL on S device, and since kernel is stock in theory everything should be fine?
this is very interesting to, and can you please do some benchmark like quadrant or any processor benchmark to see if your processor is at 1.7ghz like in the sl please?
because i'll love to turn my S into an SL without unlocking my bootloader and flash custom kernel
I try, no change at all, i flash the kernel of Xperia SL lt26ii, some one have good result?

i brought a XSL(LT26ii) from my friend
just see the baseband version is 8660-...... , the same as XS
so i think XS's rom can flash into XSL,but max cpu clock will from 1741 mhz to 1512 mhz
(my english is so poor that there are something i can't explain clearly ... sorry :<
AW: [Q] transform Xperia S to Xperia SL
Xperia SL is the same as Xperia S also with same hardware, except CPU is OC to 1710 GHz.
Only thing that would change is the cpu freq and that you can do with an overclockable kernel too.
