I have 2 Galaxy Note 2 from AT&T that I would like to use on T-Mobile. Also I would like to use Tmo's wifi calling feature. Can anybody post links to any compatible roms, radios, etc.... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the noob question.

Roms has nothing to do with getting the phone to work on T mobile.
This is what you want to do:

Thanks a lot for the info, but what do I do aabout the wifi calling feature?
You would need the tmobile rom. . .
You also need to unlock the sim card.

Yea you re going to have to flash a carrier file for that. Also make sure your phone is sim unlocked.
If you want to keep all the stock touchwizz apps from samsung you want to flash a touchwizz rom.
I recommend JEDI, Its stock, fast and comes with all the features anyone would want.
Wait we can get Wifi Calling on the ATT version with a carrier pack? What is this wizardry and how can I do it?
Carrier file = tmobile rom.

Hello, I was curious if you can flash ROMs from the S3's from other carriers besides T-Mobile and also flash ROMs from the international forums. I remeber back when i had my Vibrant all you would have to do is flash the correct boot.img and also replace the keylayout file. Is it as simple as flashing a tmobile boot.img since the keys are all the same? Thank you in advance.
don't do it.

There is a possibility of sharing ROMs with the AT&T model. If you go check out their forum, there are a couple of ROMs which people have successfully flashed on the T-Mobile model. Search the threads and flash at your own risk!

That is totally true. On the Hercules you could flash the skyrocket roms. But the T-Mobile ones are usually better. The att ones are really only better when att leaks first.
Don't do it was an oversimplification, however.
Just heard about too many people flashing the international roms.

Nope, the hardware internally is too different. I doubt there'll be an easy method to port the ROMs either.
The AT&T ROMs on the other hand should be fairly easy to port and I think there is a group working towards this goal.
You will lose your insurance.
Just to let you know, you will lose your phone's insurance, this is not the same as the 90 day warranty. I remember I had flashed my vibrant to a rom using the international model, about six months later I got a letter in the mail saying assurion would no longer insure my phone, because it wasn't the right model. I might have been able to add the text file that adds the correct model number, but I don't know if that really works or how to I it.

In this case they could have seen the flashing being done and the changing of the build.prop file. That would make the most sense to me.
You obviously haven't been reading...heck go for it.
You CAN NOT do other roms, as was stated, the hardware is different.
Not that hard to search. Do it and report back with results.

Risky is an i9300 rom because the SoC is 100% different. We all have the same SoC so it's not as big of a deal.

How do you configure the apn settings? I'm on an att rom and love it, on wifi it is fine but when it says 4g away from wifi no luck with service. I can get edge, but that is it.

Ok I figured it out but I cant get the att apn to stick does the phone have to be unlocked?
This phone is basically the same as the AT&T i727 varient of the S2, we can even share radios and we used to share themes and stuff before I swapped to CM10.1
Anyways, I'd like to use my phone on Tmo now, and from what I can tell we share pretty much all the same bands and everything. Is there a way I could use WiFi calling on my phone?

If you have the SIM card, and you will need to flash a T-Mobile ROM with Wi-Fi calling
I don't have this phone with T-Mobile so idk if it will work
You can try installing T-mobile firmware and see if that works.. You may also need to contact T-mobile and get them to enable wifi calling for your SIM.. If that doesn't work you're probably out of luck

Does your version of CM10.1 have wifi calling enabled? Is it a feature that is possible to port to any rom? like say even an i727 rom via a flashable zip or something? Really unsure how complicated enabling that feature is.

It is not realiscally possible to have wifi calling on CM10. Aint gonna happen.
To enable wifi calling the following things must be true:
You use TMobile
You've got a wifi calling enabled SIM (if you dont get it from a store).
Wifi calling must be enabled on your Tmobile acct (call customer service).
You must have TMobile firmware.

So I am new to GSM phones anyway but I just got an AT&T GSIII and I am using it on T-Mobile. I am a Sprint user initially (rooted Gnexus) and testing T-Mobile in an area I frequent to compare if it is worth switching.
My questions is I am already downloading the root kit and ready to run a ROM but should I use a T-Mobile Rom or an AT&T Rom. Also not sure if I should be asking this in the T-Mobile general section. Any advice would be great.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
If its an ATT phone it should have an ATT ROM. (I've never tried any other carries so anyone else correct me if I'm wrong)
Just set your APNs to tmobiles APN and you should be set.

You can use any Rom that states the option for picking tmobile or att in Aroma installer
Also I can verify you can odin a stock T-Mobile tar file onto the i747 and get perfect working 4g and wifi calling.
Flashing strictly t-mobile roms may be another problem.
A few good roms for T-Mobile users on the att i747 @re
Wicked Rom v10
And T-Motion both in att android dev.
Make sure to choose t-mobile as the carrier when u set up aroma install on the i747 if you use tmobile sim..
The reason the roms all works across the t999 @i747 is because the phones are so identical and the build props have been tweaked/edited to create working roms on a completely diff carrier device.

If I will use Wicked Rom v10 or T-Motion will I get these functions working ? If not, what ROM would you suggest?

You mean that WIFI calling was working?
You should have no problems flashing T-Mobile ROMs on there, and you can always flash back to an AT&T rom if it doesn't work.
You will need to follow these instructions to get it to flash though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45813646&postcount=2

Wondering if you ever got this done and working with WiFi calling.
I have this funky i747 in a T999 case thing going. I'm running an ATT stockmod ROM on it, but thinking of flashing a T-Mobile ROM on it
This one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2501303 - though I've been advised not to flash the modem it says to flash ... last time I did on this phone I lost IMEI ... upside is this time the NVitems data has been backed up). At any rate, I haven't tried it yet. Word is it'll either work or it won't, and I can flash back to the ATT stockmod I'm using if it doesn't. But I'm a little leery of trying it right now.
The reason to do it would be to get wifi calling. Otherwise I like the phone just fine the way it is. That's why I'm reading threads like this. To see what experience others have had.
I flushed with Wicked v10 :

I have i747 and using it for T-Mobile and WIFI calling is working !!!
Is working 100% on my SM-N900T with jovy's compulsion kernel everything that wasn't working before(wifi, bluetooth,NFC,etc) now works!! With this rom comes an aroma installer that lets you uninstall bloatware of upto 700mb!(i had over 25gb+ internal storage left) after getting rid of all bloat and this rom is smoking fast now! I should also mention that mattiadj's ext2internalsd mod works on Omega as well, i just used the galaxy s4 4.3 fat32.zip and now storages are swapped so all the large app data goes to extsd instead of internal storage. I still got way too much to setup on this phone but wanted to let people know about this
Just asking did u get a bug to internally wipe the SD card? It seemed to happen before to people when flashing omega on a non international phone

Updated my earlier post, but you can flash any n9005 rom in this thread
a little bit out of topic but what are the advantages and disadvantages of flashing a rom that is not for our note? are there any risks other than the obvious "you are responsible for what you do to your device" or "warranty is now void" risks?
1. Advantages are more variety of roms to choose from, the international roms are updated a lot quicker than USA versions(because it was released over there first, I believe latest firmware over there is mj7). Some roms on the N9005 are pre-debloated for you (HAL room is 700mb rom! Omega has same slimness as HAL just got to choose what you want uninstalled/installed thru aroma).
2. Disadvantages, not many really as long as your only flashing the N9005 compatible LTE note 3 and not the incompatible N9000 (octocore exnyos).

Also, some of the features that the carrier offers are sometimes not supported, such as WiFi Calling.

Wifi, bluetooth, gps, and nfc used to not work on international roms until the devs made that patch #2 which automagically patches all the above to work. But yea don't think tmobiles wifi calling will work on International roms.

It's a long known issue that WiFi calling won't work with ROMS developed outside of a T-Mobile ROM base. I'm not blessed with enough of an understanding of how it works, but ever since my HTC Vision (G2) I've read about WiFi calling not working on other ported or international ROMs.
Aside from that feature, everything else could technically work. Personally, I like the WiFi calling and prefer to maintain it on my phone's ROM.

Yeah wifi-calling will never work on international roms. Which is fine because wifi-calling causes more issues than it fixes. The majority of my calls get dropped and it breaks messaging more often than not. PITA.

Hi guys, I have an att note 2 completely rooted running on a T-Mobile Sim card, my question is, going forward, should I be using ROM specific to sgh-i317 or can I use t-889 based ROM? Should I also be using T-Mobiles radio modem as well? Thanks!
"Completely rooted"? How did you accomplish that, as I am only partially rooted....lol (jk., sorry I couldn't help myself).
Anyway, you can use T-mo Roms, just make sure it will be compatible with your phone.
I think if you flash a modern not meant for your phone, you will be very, VERY sorry.
Good luck.

I believe any rom in the N7105 forum are compatible with AT&T and T-mobile Note 2. I've been flashing them on my T-mobile phones with no problems. BUt if you're unsure, just ask or do a quick search in the thread.
