Hey guys,
all of a sudden, my screen wont auto rotate on my phone. I have checked all the settings that would include auto rotate, and the checkbox is checked.
I even did a system wipe, and started from scratch (installing the latest nightly), and still no such luck.
I downloaded an app that tested if the gyroscope and accelerometer worked, and they do?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Just recieved OTA update on my stock gnex using the google-framework cache clear/close process method.
I cleared cache of google-framework process and then stopped it, rebooted the device and after reboot was done i got the OTA, installed it and phone booted again. update was installed without any problems.
BUT: when going into settings => location access => and then tapping "access to my location" settings force closes.
i rebooted the phone a few times and tried everything that came into my mind, no solution
anybody got the same problem or maybe even a solution?

Same problem here and that fixes it for me too! Happens on my wife's Nexus 7 too, but she has NoLED there so this may be a bug that has to do with anything enabled under accessibility settings (or at least not ONLY Light Flow).
Edit: I wonder if this is related:

"Note: We have found that this issue is related to running apps that have settings in the accessibility menu in Android settings. In the meantime, you should be able to use Swype by disabling any apps that are in Android Settings > Accessibility."
Sounds like 4.1.2 has some kind of Accessibility bug,
I have aokp build with my s3, I did a fresh install but I'm still having this problem the screen shutters and I have to restart the phone, anyone have this problem or can help?
A quick search would have revealed that if you disable HW overlays in dev settings it should stop. A full wipe while installing the ROM might also fix the problem so you don't have to use the "fix' and can enjoy the full benefits of the great ROM your on.
Hello,
I had just flashed CM10.1, and to reiterate the title, experiencing issues that I could not find answers for.
First: Why is Auto Rotation not working? (have already looked into settings, all check out)
Second: Where is the button(the one with three dots on the bottom bar in the right corner that appears in apps, i think it was made to open in app settings) not there?
Third: (may or may not be because of rom) Kindle Fire does not connect to computer and be detected whatsoever( it did work when i had and older version of TWRP, just had to mount usb in recovery, but when i did update TWRP, it stopped appearing in computer even when mounted)
I Flashed this build:cm-10.1-20130611-0025-otter-sgt7, which i downloaded from this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=20513
If anyone can help, thank you, my frustration is starting to get the better of me.
1. Not sure about this one. When I used the 6-11 build rotate worked. Now I'm on cm 10.1 official "stable" and rotate doesn't work.
2. Go to settings - system -hardware keys, and check "show action overflow".
3. Try reinstalling the drivers you used to root your kf. Try reinstalling multiple times if it doesn't work at first. Eventually it showed up for me.
Cheers!

same here. when I flashed the official cm10.1 2013 otter, my auto rotation would not work. This also happen on the last RC zips. When I flash the latest Nightlies 0624, all is well.
Not sure about this one.
Rotation works on smooth ROM (cm 10.1)

I'm having the same issue with my KF regarding PC recognition. I've tried installing the drivers a million times and I just can't install them again for some reason. I'm stuck at this point.
Try and wipe the cache, dalvik, etc. and do a fresh install of the .zip, because mine works fine. I had trouble before with connecting to PC via USB, but re-installed and enabled USB debugging and now it is working fine!

Bump, anyone?
I'm using stock NF1 from Jovy.
I installed Titanium, and froze a few system apps. After a few weeks, I've detemined that the frozen apps didn't break my phone in anyway.
So, I decided to completely uninstall them via Titanium.
After uninstallation and reboot, I discovered my auto-rotation no longer works.
Any suggestion on how to get auto rotation working again?
I've tried to (1) wipe Dalvik and Cache (2) reinstalled those all those apps I uninstalled (3) Fix Permission on TWRP.
I notice that the rotation in the stock camera app still works. I can rotate to shoot in portrait or landscape without any problem.
