Hi, I have also replaced my Gio battery about 6 months ago, Original Samsung Battery is 1350mAh for $18.
The normal charge time from about 5% to full should be 3 hours (using 220V).
It seems you should calibrate it, letting all the juices flow slowly until death, and then charge it until full in offline mode.
If it is still happening, ask the shop for replacement.

Hi I've just bought one of these and will only charge my s3 to approx 80% . With my s3 battery being 2100mah it should charge it fully and have approx 1300mah left. Or am I missing something?

nope. EVERYONE with those battery cases are experiencing exactly what you are: no-one is figuring the loss of power from trying to charge a battery with a battery.
here is a test:
1.fully charge phone and case
2. kill phone
3. use case to recharge phone
4. kill phone
5. use case to recharge phone
6 repeat until the case no longer charges phone.
I bet it is just equalizing, not emptying the case (because that involves a "joule thief", and I am betting they did not bother with that circutry.) and you can kill the phone multiple times, getting less charge each time.
Hello guys,
I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus running the latest Android 4.2.1 Officialy from Google. I hae bought an original extended battery for it, but the issue is that it seems that it holds less juice than the original one, that came with the phone.
With the default battery, i get around 3 hours of screen on and with the extended one, i barely get 2:40 minutes. Tried this a couple of times.
What's the matter with it ? Do i need to calibrate it somehow ?
I have the same battery and had the same issue. After using it for about a week it started working better. What I suggest is charge it all the way up and then use it until it completely goes dead then fully charge it again. Do this a few times then you should notice the difference which isn't huge but I'm averaging about 4-5 hours more than standard now.

With Li-ion batteries, this should make no difference what so ever. It should get better over time. From what I've researched, you should never let a li-ion battery fully die. When it hits 20% - 30% fully charge and then don't charge again until you hit 20%. There are only so many charging cycles on a battery.
You might have something constantly running in the background that is eating your battery. Try juice defender, it drastically improved my stand by time.
What i was saying:
The stock battery holds a charge of ~3 hours of screen on time
The extended battery holds a charge that lasts less than 3 hours witch is strange because it haves a bigger capacity.
Is there any way to reset the baattery stats ? Or to reset the battery count ? Something like that ?
The whole "wipe battery stats" thing found in CWM is useless. Confirmed to be by a developer at google.

I see. Anything else i can try ?
Have a good day .. Tech at XDA

Drain your battery to 0 percent then do a complete charge from 0% to 100%
Worked for me.
I have the same problem.I tried two different batterys and from both i get the same result.I think it's a problem with the sensors, when it reach 100% stops charging but in reality isn't charged at all.

Did you recalibrate the battery?
Here is a link to an app in the google play store
http://goo.gl/xRHjp7
I discharged it yesterday and then it charged completly in 15 minutes.I see in the app's screenshot that at 66% he has 3882 mv.On my phone at 100% it shows 4mv.
Good day guys, i have problem as you see from title. 1.5 months ago, i replaced my Zenfone 2's battery and it charged it without using my phone. Anyway, i noticed that : My battery is showing 2400 mA while it was %100. My battery is 3000 mA and battery is just new and i can't use %25 of my battery. I tried most calibration methods and i can't solve this problem. Last days, it shows 2940 mA and battery was working well, i had 6 hours 20 minutes screen of time. But, it was one time. I am waiting for your suggestions.
My Samsung Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705) is 4 years old. Since the battery only lasted 2h 30m, I went to Samsung to change the battery.
But they refused to do so as they said, their diagnostic tools told them that the battery was fine, but the Motherboard needs to be changed. I believe there are 'some' truth to that as the Tab did had flickering, random booting happening a year ago (but did not occur anymore for some reason). But Mobo replacement is expensive, with a short warranty. Not worth it.
So I went to change the battery at another shop. The battery now lasts for 6 hours on Youtube (nonstop). Not that satisfied, but at least performs better (and also I can't remember how the original battery performs 4 years ago).
Problem:
1) When charging to 80% (Switched ON), the meter went from 81% to 100% in less than 5 minutes @[email protected] But when I unplugged and use it, the tab discharged at a normal rate (no sudden jump-drain).
2)Charging when the tab is off, it charged at a normal speed from 0% - 66. Then it gets slow as if it was 'trickling' and get stuck at 69%. Wait long enough and it will jump to 100% all of the sudden. Again, when using it, the discharged rate was normal.
So, does this mean the battery is faulty or just that the Motherboard is about to 'die' on me?
I would get the shop that did the replacement to fit another battery as there is definitely something wrong.
John.

battery is at fault if it gets old enough , the flickering and rebooting is caused by a loose battery connector on the motherboard. soldering and strengthening it fixed the problem for most people i found posted on their forums ,
i personally haven't tried it yet as i just replaced my battery after the original one died this 2021, replacement battery is 6 months in and the problem i'm having with the flickering is coming back.
